Proper good last 4 in the Europa League. 3rd in the prem, 4th in La Liga, 2nd in Serie A, 1st in Ukraine. All already qualified for the Champions League next season. Shakhtar obviously the underdog of the 4, but the other 3 are probably on a similar level overall.

Shame they didn’t get extra time! Was hoping they’d both run each other into the ground.

sevilla much better on the night, wolves just couldn’t get out there half.

starting traore was a mistake.

Pathetic effort from Wolves. Imagine playing for pens from the first minute. Shocking stuff. Football won here.

The extra 30 mins we played shouldn't mean anything with us getting an extra day rest. Sevilla played their strongest team against Roma too.

All four semi finalists are already in the Champions League for next season on league positioning regardless.

And from a Utd perspective, there are three good teams and we have to beat two of them.
So in this situation, is there another club who will benefit? Or just the place re-allocated a different way?

I hate playing vs Spanish teams. In recent years, we've lost to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Sevilla and barely scraped past Celta Vigo if not for a Guidetti sitter.
Bilbao pulled our pants down as well. I don’t fancy our chances if I’m honest.

Yeah he's a major loss if he's not back.
He's defo out, as he didn't travel to Germany. It'll be interesting to see how Williams plays against Sevilla, assuming they hold on here, because it's a big learning curve for him...which is nice as it will serve him well in the future.

I really fancy our chances against Sevilla. They like to play which will suit our counter attacking plan and their press isn't overly brilliant. I think we could actually go on to win the whole thing as well.

Nice one Lescott.
Sevilla are "one" of the favourites apparently. Presumably with us and Inter.
Maybe Shaktar in there too

I don't say we will beat Sevilla but I'd rather play them than face Wolves again this season. Sick of them.
Agreed. Worst case scenario anyway it’s preferable be knocked-out by Sevilla than Wolves.

Wolves longest slog of a season finally comes to an end. Started the Europa League stretching back to 25th July 2019 against Crusaders of Northern Ireland.

I'm not convinced United can beat Sevilla, but I'd rather play them than Wolves again this season.
No, right. We can just beat Man city 3 times this season but we have no chance against mighty Sevilla, which were p*ss poor tonight by the way even with all the ball.

Wolves were quite comfortably the worst team left in the competition.
Hehe Wolves would have easily beaten FCK, not even close. Not saying Wolves are a better team than us since we drew in 90, but FCK clearly manned up against the famous United... Wolves don’t get the same treatment. A few percentage points off on commitment and it’s 0-5.

Going out in a quarter final in Europa without even trying to score a goal, now that's embarrasing. That Traore solo-run from their own half was all they had.

Sevilla dominated Wolves and fully deserved the victory.

And how over rated is Ruben Neves?

Sevilla will give us a better idea of where we're at in terms of CL opposition, so a good test for us against a very technical team who keep the ball well.

Traore's pace caused them some problems, so hoping our front 3 can stretch that backline. We'll have to keep the ball well, control the midfield and prevent Williams and AWB getting outnumbered down the flanks.

He isn't. He's a very good player, who is playing for a very very defensive team, who sit back and soak up pressure. His best attributes are what he does on the ball, not what he does off it. There's only so much he can do with 25% possession,

Chill, didn’t he have a car accident?
Don’t really care what happened to him, he’s a fecking arsehole. Kept saying that we won’t win the competition when he was on the last time as well.

Apparently from quick reading, it means that Rennes have been promoted from Champions League 3rd Qualification Round to Group Stage on the back of tonight’s results.
