After Sancho, Davies would be the next player I would want us to sign. Probably impossible as Bayern would want an insane fee. But having Davies in your team, he has the energy and stamina to defend and attack on his own down the left side.
You are insane if you think it's about the fee, there's no way in hell Bayern gonna even think about selling him. Bayern doesn't sell players in their prime, unless there's something dicey about the player(motivation, injuries, party animal etc).

I'm surprised so many people think that Davies is currently better than Robertson. He might be a scrote but he is a fantastic player. I wouldn't argue against Davies having more potential though.

Everyone goes wild over TAAs contribution but Robertson is only 1 goal and 3 assists behind him this season (3 goals and 12 assists in total).

Mbappé- Lewandowski - Messi
KDB - Kroos - Kimmich
Davies- VVD - Alaba - TAA
Ter Stegen

Interesting that so many acknowledge Kimmich, didn't expect that. This guy can do everything. Insane workrate, top technique, a leader on and off the pitch , great passing and vision, can score. Wouldn't suprise me if he will surpass Lahm.

The front 3 is still Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar for me with maybe Lewandowski instead of Ronaldo at a push.

Every time I watch Davies he’s absolutely unreal. Roberson is a good player too but I don’t think he’s anywhere near the same individual quality.

Well my point is, yes it would be about the fee. Bayern would clearly not want to sell him. Which means it would take an insane fee in order to prize him away. i.e. it would have to be a £150m+ fee to get them to even talk. Every player has a price no matter which club it is.

TAA in best world XI, while he is not the best RB even in EPL. Ricardo Pereira is hands down the best all-rounder and unlike Trent he has something to offer in attack besides constant crosses.

In fact TAA and Roberston are modern days Baines and Coleman. Klopp is truly a magician as he built a system where they look world beaters.

I do think Davies has higher potential but he is only in his first Bundesliga season and therefore he still has quite a lot to work on which you can also see when he plays. Robertson has been at his peak for the last 2 seasons and has given back to back seasons with 13 assists so he has the consistency and ability under his belt right now.

I think in a one-off game I'd rather have Davies and in a season I'd rather have Robertson right now.

As good as Pereira is, there is no way you could choose him over TAA if given the option of both.

I really don't think so. TAA is an excellent footballer, his passing is streets ahead of any other full back in the league, he is a real threat from free kicks, and his defending is better than most seem to think.

Something in attack besides constant crosses? That kind of accusation could be made to attack someone like Beckham, it's nonsense. He sets up a lot of goals - you only need to compare his game to AWB or similar to see what he offers in attack.

Yeh to be fair it’s hard to argue with that reasoning. I do think we will be looking at Davies in a few years as the clear best in his position though and he’s scary good.

Sounds crazy to exclude De Bruyne from a World XI given his performances but I'd take both Messi and Neymar over him in that advanced midfield position honestly

Why? He is better dribbler, much better 1 on 1 and overall defender and better in the air. Trent has great right foot and is still very young, but for now I would absolutely choose Pereira over him.

Is it wrong to not want Ronaldo in their 'cos of his selfish streak? I mean for a start I'd like someone else in my team to take free kicks....

It baffles me how people can omit Ronaldo from their team. Bar Messi their is still no other attacker in the world I rather my team wouldn't face.

Best XI as in what would be the best team or best players by position?

Ter Stegen-TAA-VVD-Ramos-Davies-De Jong-Vidal-Thiago-Mane-Messi-Neymar for best team

Alisson-TAA-VVD-Ramos-Davies-Casemiro-Verratti-De Bruyne-Messi-Lewandowski-Neymar for best players

Doubts with Lewa/Mbappé and Casemiro/De Jong honestly

Would use a 4x2x2x2 with width from the fullbacks and using two attacking midfielders (based on this season performance).

De Jong doesn't even make la liga XI of the season so a world XI? Tough task.
Surpised he hasn't made it. Any reason for that? Dutch football news has been praising him non stop for the past year.

Then again, almost everything Barca related gets hyped up over here, even to the point De Ligt has almost become an enfant terrible for him choosing Juve over Barca.

Caf: You can't be considered world class after one good season.
Also Caf: puts Davies in 95% of "current best World XI".

I doubt more than 5% on here watch enough football to have an accurate opinion on this. I can't imagine that there isn't a better DM in the world than Fabinho for example, who was considered a bust by many between Aug 18 and Jan 19 on here. Isn't Casemiro much more accomplished? The likes of Verratti (and De Jong tbh) over someone like De Bruyne? Tough to explain imo. Anyone but Lewandowski on top seems also a weird claim.

Need a solid B2B to cover the left side but can't think of anyone coming out of an outstanding season.

I'd have had him in there every year for the last decade. Love me a bit of Ramos.
Not that he hasn't been good, but there have been at least 2 defenders I've rated higher than him on my metrics board going back 10 years.

This year he's passed my test, and I love me a bit of Ramos too now.

A bit unbalanced as I don't think there are too many standout midfielders aside from KDB. On another day, I would have put in Neymar for someone else and for me GK is a bit of a toss up between Ter Stegen, Allison and Oblak.

Ter Stegen
TAA, VVD, Ramos, Robertson
KDB, Thiago (?)
Mbappe, Messi, CR7
Lewa

People seriously putting Fernandes? Honestly baffles the mind. He’s a great player but he is not the 2nd best no. 8 in the world.
I don't see how Bruno or Pogba gets into the team as I don't think we have the best player in the world in any position right now, certainly not supported by any meaningful data. Anyone claiming we do is sheer delusion or fanboy-ism

Perhaps Pogba, Greenwood, or Martial (and Sancho) can become in next few years. I also have very high hopes for AWB as he is still very young.

I'd say there just aren't so many good LBs around right now. I don't think Robertson deserves it either, so based on potential I gave the edge to Davies.

If course David Alaba would be the 100% first choice if he still played LB though, but he's been moved to CB.
