Besides the Ibrahimovic renewal, Milan are also looking to replace Ricardo Rodriguez and be the new backup to Theo.

Their two options:
  • Matias Vina, a young Uruguayan currently in Palermo Palmeiras
  • Iago, a Brazilian full back currently in Augsburg

Bouhafsi retweeted this.
Either one would be great signings for us by I doubt Aouar will be starved for suitors.

Dembele for the right price in the Igahlo role would give us a genuine super sub type no.9 waiting for the opportunity. He's had impressive spells for Celtic and Lyon at a young age

Very true but surely they would want a massive price for him though

Aouar should be our main midfield target. Feck Grealish.
I know Jack is a mental price but still think he could become an even better player in our setup, however there is no argument that Aouar looks a tidy player as well

Where the hell would Aouar even play for City? Or is just part of Pep's fetish of having a bench good enough to finish in the top 4?

Maybe he intends for him to be Silva's replacement and Foden will be back out in the cold again

Yeah, that's what I'm not understanding. They've got Foden and KDB for that central attacking midfield position.

Adding to the confusion, they have Bernardo Silva who also play in that position.

Odegaard returns to Madrid cooled down their interest in Auoar? Thought they were interest by all the ru our few months back?

United should get M.Dembele
He is not that great, another player Lyon is looking to sell by all means.
Why not you get Auour? Why do you want to go for the inferior player, I know he's a striker and you think we need one but for what he'd cost he is not good enough.
People say these things, but if it is me O would be looking for an old striker that has proven it like a Cavani or even Suarez but for his history with us.

In the previous years of Caf, if I'm not mistaken, there is a thread only for confirmed transfers, announcement for medicals from the official twitter accounts or website of the Clubs.
But I can't find any such thread recently.

This thread is exciting and all, but not too healthy for the muppet heart as there are much rumours in here.
A confirmed transfer thread on the other hand will be much beneficial for the few who of us who want to know about the transfer movements at the same time avoiding all the rumour tweets/discussions.
I know there is simple google search and updates by the online papers. But the contribution by Caf members across countries/leagues is much better than those.

Is it too redundant to make such a thread @Damien ? If not, could you make one for the 2020-21 season please?

Sell Pogba for 90mio, buy Aouar for 60mio and Brooks for 30mio.
I think Aouar would be better fit for Ole's system than Pogba.

I'd also try to bring in Cavani if he doesn't have to high demands for salary.

This deal is on the level of Pepe.
First, Aouar is valued at 44m pounds, why do you want to pay more?
Secondly he is nothing like Pogba, he has worse defensive flaws to Pogba. He could play alongside Pogba but him and Fernandes would even make us more vulnerable.

Lastly, Brooks is shite for the quality we want.

Transfermarkt has him at 49,5m €, I'd guess that the price will go up after last CL performances. From what I have seen he is much more energetic and agile player than Pogba, which is exactly what our midfield need. So beeing nothing like Pogba is good quality. I think we will never see the best of Pogba in 4-2-3-1 formation.

Also Brooks for 30mio € would be good squad option.

But yes, I'd is not the most realistic scenario.

I completely agree. Plus he would be cheaper than Grealish. I seriously don't get our British obsession. Just focusing on signing British players is stupid.

You or someone else can feel free to make one. I'm sure there'll be people interested in posting in it.

The article says

- Joel Glazer reluctant to folk out the asked amount for Sancho
- Brooks an alternative to Grealish but no contact as yet
- Interest remains in Grealish and Upamecano

If Joel Glazer is getting involved with negotiations I really think we can kiss Sancho goodbye and IF he is getting involved surely he doesn’t trust Woodward or Judge to make the right calls, so he has to get someone in who can.

Or alternatively he doesn’t trust them and is getting involved because he wants the deal sorted and get Sancho in but I know which side of the fence I sit on.

From reading various articles over the years, I thought Joel Glazer was always close to the transfer side of things, not necessarily the negotiations but he had the final say on the spending the cash. Didn't he allegedly over rule Mourinho as well when it came to selling Martial. I dont think this involvement is anything new. Also if it offers you any hope there were lots of reports in January that Joel had said no to the Bruno transfer!

Not entirely; there is method in this madness - culturely and climately (is this a word?), some of the British academies are giving the youth players a fantastic football diet as a baseline (a good balance of technical and physical focus), it's easier and cheaper to scout them and they are less likely to want to play abroad when a super club comes in for them if the develop into a fantastic player.

It doesn't say he's taking part of negotiations, but he's part of determining what available funds we have to spend on purchases, and whether the cost/risk matches up for what we need to do.

It's been reported for a while that he has an active role in the club, that he works perhaps as much as 8 hours a day on club matters. He is after all the Executive Co-Chairman and Director (together with Avram). It's normal practice to have the board approve all spending above a certain amount (Perhaps £500k-1m) in a business.

All the article is saying (from what I can tell from the tweet) is that the board is not convinced that with the funds available during the world situation right now, that it's maybe not worth it to spend the full fee of what Dortmund is asking on just the one player, in the sense of risk vs reward.
