Been watching a bunch of them lately, the types that would’ve been on Channel 5 just before the soft core porn in the late 90’s/ early 00’s

Give me your best

Watched Terminal Velocity the other day and it’s so fabulously 90’s and terrible that it’s brilliant. Slow mo action scenes set to random guitar riffs, bad one liners and quips that you’re not sure make it a comedy instead and of course, a random attractive female.

Turbulence is another, the lead actress in it won a Razzie cause she was so bad in it but it’s Ray Liotta playing a psycho on a 747 and it’s fantastic.

Most Arnie/Nicholas Cage/Steven Segal films would fall under this of course but what of the less well known ones?

Last Boy Scout with Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans. One liners are excellent and I am sure it is only ever shown on Channel 5 or it’s sister channels.

This is the perfect example. I love that movie.

Cliffhanger.

Has a bloke from EastEnders in it.

Also, how about The Specialist. Cheesy action film, but with an erotic thriller tinge. Really don’t need to see Stallone in the shower!

Not exactly what you’re after but I recently had a real urge to watch Jet Li’s early films. The kind of thing that’d be on at 3am and with the terrible dubbing. They’re so undesirable that if I wanted to watch any more than the two or three you’ll find on Amazon, then I’ll have to sign up to a DVD postal service.

The Legend of Fong Sai Yuk is one of the greatest martial arts films ever. Old Jet Li is best Jet Li.

I spent hours on YouTube once looking for that film after not seeing it for years. All I had to go on was Jet Li saves ant

Hudson Hawk was a 90s favourite of mine, but I've not seen it in about 20 years, so I have no idea how well it has aged. Probably not well at all.

Demolition Man is still great even after all this time though.

The Specialist has an amazing soundtrack. One of the cases where the soundtrack is so much better than the movie.
