Rumours we are looking to get Baines and Fellani on deadline day as alternatives to Sancho!

Many moments are key in a transfer of this dimension. Sancho thinks about United since 1.5 years. United have total agent agreement. Now Manchester works with intermediaries for solutions in the fee breakdown aspect for Dortmund and Zorc.
Apparently being announced today, so you would think all those key moments are done? That is my point. No one would be being informed inside the club, to then tell you that he is being announced if there are key moments to sort out. You get me?

So you think Utd all this time have been briefing lies and lies over a deal we`ve been working on for a year just to put in a grand show? Do you have any idea what type of backlash they will face from fans in the event after all this ends its discovered we were all taken for a ride? Remember how fans threw flairs at Woodward`s house because of Bruno? They risk repeating something similar plus negative views on social media which affect share prices and they know this if this was well and truly dead in the water we wouldn`t have told the press breakthrough was made on personal terms after saying the opposite for months this would have simply been killed off like Griezmann/Dybala they have no reason to prolong a hoax especially with the window going on when the season is ngoing imagine we lose to Palace and we brief we`ve walked from the deal remember 2014 under LVG when we got off to a shaky start?
As for the deal being too expensive Utd have known the price for months and Woodward always consults the glazers before being given the green light if the higher ups didnt think this was financially viable we wouldn`t be about to approach BVB with a bid so its a myth we cant afford it Ole cant come out in a press conference and say we are rich or we risk having another "We can do things in the market bla bla bla" BS and if you think everything he says at face value is true he said Sanchez will come to prove everyone wrong remember?
As for the deal being difficult which record breaking transfers historically get done early? CR7, Bale, Pogba, Maguire, Mbappe, Neymar, VVD, Coutinho, Dembele etc all happened either late in the window or needed 2 transfer windows to complete this was always going to drag one way or another wishful thinking if you thought this would be a quick deal with BVB historically a team that never sells without a big fight so I suggest you wait till October 5th before jumping into conclusions and needlessly dampening moods based off baseless opinions
We’ve got previous with wasting full summers on players we never ended up getting, not sure it’s a grand show or just pure incompetence though. Fabregas, Sneijder, Griezmann, Thiago, Persic come to mind.

If we’ve spent a year working in this deal like you pointed out why did it then take 12 months to agree an agent fee? Dortmund are willing to sell, the player reportedly wants to move yet not a single source claims we’ve actually made a bid. It’s not gonna happen.

Is it though? Apparently other players who played on international duty returned to training.
No idea. I’m just flying high on the meatball and a half of my lunch that my toddler permitted me to eat before the taking the rest.

The fee breakdown is an intricate operation, United has been speaking with Dortmund with the intermediaries to find solutions. The fee debate is now in the end game. Zorc recognises that Dortmund must close the deal to find a good equilibrium for his club, does not want distractions in the new season.

Bid is the last part of the story. We won't make one until we agree with Dortmund on the fee.
It will happen.

This thread is a trainwreck for the last 300 pages. I was all aboard the Sancho train but unfortunately I'm switching to SanchOFF. Best of luck to all those who remain hopeful.

I read he never went back from London. If this is true, it must be that we are in advanced talks, unless it is false news which is what I expect.

Fabregas never wanted to come here and Barca who never sell key players against their will didnt want to sell him doesnt count
Griezmann barely took a month of the window and we quickly moved on and got Lukaku which proves my point on Sancho if it was dead by now we`d have moved on to someone else
The board never wanted to overpay for Perisic cause of age and Martial
Sneijder was all paper talk from aggregators nothing concrete Fergie himself publicly killed the rumot
Thiago was stupid dithering from Moyes if we acted quickly we`d have gotten him
Sancho`s transfer is a one horse race and Utd know very well they stand little chance of getting him with competition hence why they`re working hard on it now and the transfer being in the works for long counts for little we`d been working on bringing Pogba back since 2013 and it still took the whole of summer 2016 to sign him record transfers are NEVER straighforward

Griezmann stayed because of Atletico's transfer ban. After that it just never picked up again.

We’ll see. I’ll quote your post for a response when the transfer window shuts and Sancho is still in Germany!

I hope I’m proven wrong though I think Sancho will be a great player I just believe this would have been done by now if the interest was real.

No need to quote me I never said with certainty we`ll get Sancho(I`m amongst those who think we will get him though) just stating its a bit silly to jump into the conclusion that its CERTAINLY not happening with no tangible evidence

The only one of those you could realistically say we wasted a whole summer on was Sneijder and even then it dragged on because he wanted ridiculous wages.

Thiago signed for Bayern in early July 2013

We moved on from Fabregas pretty early that summer too as he announced his intention to stay at Barca at the start of August 2013.

Don't remember us chasing Griezmann for a whole summer, the summer there was strong links back in 2017 he announced he was staying at Atletico in a public statement in early June.

The Peresic move was pretty much dead in early June 2017 also when Spaletti took over Inter and wanted to keep him.

Not the most though to be constantly called out on it. Neither of the other two are when they are mentioned.
Martial has had over 60 more appearances than Shaw during that time, and yet has had almost half the time out injured. I'm mystified why you're comparing them.
