The £30m is before taxes, maybe the £13m is after taxes and takes into account Bale taken some kind of cut in wages.

It was either Mitten or Whitwell on the latest Man Utd Atheltic podcast that said that we've made contact with a lot of agents/teams and are monitoring lots of situations. It explains why we moved so quickly with VDB and why we've been linked to Thiago, Gabriel and Badiashile.
It's nothing new either; I think we started doing this during van Gaal's time. We'd start to get in touch with big agents like Raiola and Mendes to get a network of players and be prepared to sign them up when needed. That's typically why we get in touch with agents before we submit an offer to a team.

Am i the only one who just don't see logic in this? Thiago would be great buy, excellent player and is exactly dmc what we need but we have 6 midfelders now. I am first who is for buying class players but i don't think that we can sell Fred, Matic or McT for good fee on current market.
Depends what formation Ole plans to use next season. 6 midfielders isn't too much if we play 433 or maybe we switch to a diamond and we use 4 at a time. If we can bring Thiago in, I think he would improve the midfield. A diamond of Thiago, Donny, Pogba and Bruno looks tasty on paper.
He has refused a new deal.. Is out of contract next year. Bayern want to sell him now..
