Too many red flags around Bale, fans will talk themselves into anything once it’s happening (getting Mourinho as manager being a prime example) but let’s not forget the strong whiff of attitude problems and his injury record.

With the multiple parallels with the Sanchez situation and Levy’s tightness it sort of feels like everyone is collectively losing their minds at Spurs.

If Bale can get his form, him Kane and Son looks pretty formidable.
On paper. Kane needs service but won’t get much. Bale will be asked to defend and track back and I can’t see that happening. Son is fantastic obviously. None of them will get the service from midfield. They’ll play Hojberg, Winks and Sissoko in midfield most of the time. Two sideways passers and a headless chicken. They won’t open many teams up, and Mourinho will exacerbate it be playing too deep. If they put Hojberg behind Lo Celso and NDombele for a run, I might back them to do quite well, but I can’t see that happening.

They have Lo Celso who has done very well. Lo Celso, Hojbjerg, Sissoko/Winks is a decent midfield.

Yeah, Jose might be the reason why they wont play to their potential.
Lo Celso is good. Hojberg is a bit of an underwhelming signing. Sissoko and Winks wouldn’t get in the beet 11 for Liverpool, City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Wolves or Leicester.

Spurs have a lot of bang average players and their stars of previous seasons have either left or are too old now. Son, Kane and Lo Celso are the only players from Spurs that I would take for United.

Jesus its toxic in here, ok, Bale will be a flopp and be our Sanchez, its nailed on, . No point discussing it at all.
For what it’s worth , I agree with you. RM really turn nasty on players once they decide he’s no longer part of their plans. They had a chance to sell him last season. They kept him On huge wages obviously because he’s unprofessional and a bad influence. Right?
Good on Bale for telling them to go fook themselves with his welsh flag message
There’s a weird anti-bale thing on these boards. I don’t get it. It’s a punt for you guys injury wise but even if you get 30 games a season out of him then you may very well have a very explosive front 3. Over to you José

Some sources saying you are.
I haven't seen any details of the deal I could believe I don't even know if its a loan or a transfer. Only thing I have seen is potentially £20M based on performances for a season long loan but hes got 2 seasons left on his contract, so does he go back to Madrid after that, that seems odd.

Perhaps injury cover (ironic) but they have a wealth of promising young players if he was that much of a disruption around the place. My take is that a lot of shit is being spread by RM as usual

Anyway i wish him good luck

I hate all the golf jokes he gets, what should he be doing instead, bedding hookers and playing FIFA? Footballers have a lot of free time.

Wasn't the story that Zidane wanted rid but Perez wanted a transfer fee for him? Which is stupid from Perez but by all accounts Bale was one of his personal pet projects so he couldn't let it go that easily.

The reason I have a go at Bale, is due to his professionalism. The club is paying you, you have a contract.

People saying the club had a chance to let him go last summer, yes but Asensio got injured so they thought lets keep Bale because the deal was so bad to for Real Madrid.

Now lets flip it, Smalling had the chance to leave to Roma, the bid wasnt good enough so we keep him knowing Ole doesnt fancy him. If Smalling starts behaving like Bale, are we saying good on Smalling for acting out?

What did Bale do exactly? You forgot the part where Ole comes out and publicly states Smalling isn't in his plans or something like that.

Wales, Golf, Madrid. - Dis respect to the club that are paying you 600k a week.
His attitude on the sidelines - The mask and everything else.

Literally pure dis respect to the club.

Respect goes both ways, Zidane, for what ever reason simply didn't like him, he was a Perez player.

Zidane said last July,

"Bale did not play because he is very close to leaving," Zidane said. "We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team."

Then after that, they pull the plug on the deal.

Madrid is a shithouse of a club, rotten to the core.

Looks like he'll sign for Spurs. Imagine this place if he'd score a winner against us

Fair play to Spurs, taking a risk but at least they are trying to do something with him and Regulion. Son/Kane/Bale is exciting on paper for their fans.

Isn't it more of a case of Madrid getting 20-30m off their books for a season and putting him in the shop window?

It's win-win for them, as I imagine he would have barely featured for them this season.

Ofcourse it does, Real is probably one of the most toxic clubs when it comes to that.

It is clear Bale and Zidane did not get along for some reason which also caused the rift between Bale and the supporters.

It also doesnt helpe when you have players like Ramos coming out being disrespectful to Bale.

My point is that fingers can be pointed to both not just Madrid.

Why did Bale go on a strop in the first place? I get that Asensio took his place in the team, but Zidane seemed determined to feck with him every chance he got. Why not just manage him well and have him rotate with the other forwards? Surely there's enough games for them all.

Why deliberately piss someone off to the point they go into self-induced golf exile just to get away from you? He was still a good player, right?

Zidane used Bale frequently till February 2020 and he was only dropped afterwards.

Well united haven’t been spreading bs about the player so it’s not comparable. United under ole just aren’t toxic like RM
