United’s hopes of getting Jadon Sancho, their No 1 target for the summer, are hanging by a thread despite agreements on every aspect of the deal apart from the fee with Borussia Dortmund. The German club will only accept £108 million for the England forward and United have not reached that asking price.
Also reporting United made a loan enquiry about Chiesa and it was rejected.

Seems a lot of clubs and players are getting desperate to sell/getting a contract.

All of those players bar Solanke, who didnt moved for 25M, where promising players at one point. All of them where valued around or above 20M at some point.

James was an unknown player who failed to make it here, he wasnt worth 25m a year ago and yet some how after failing here his price is going to increase? That doesnt make sense at all.

Anf putting 4 examples which are 6 years appart is not strong evidence, for those 4 examples there are dozens of players who move for normal fees, the exception doesn't make the rule.
What are you on about!! Iwobi on average per season at Arsenal scored 3 league goals and 3-6 assists. That's equivalent to what James did last season and Everton signed him last year for 28m plus more than 30m with adds on. What the feck Brewster did to even get 23m price tag, did nothing in EPL.

Let me tell you more, Dunk & Tarkowski have price tag of 50m or above, Fulham signed Mawson for 20m, Andre Gray cost 18.5m, Pickford 25m, even Andy Caroll was 35m years ago as well as Stones 50m. That's the reality, British or homegrown player is always overpriced.

15m is just an average transfer fees for players that signed from Championship club like Che Adams, Ben Gibson Llyod Kelly and etc which include when we signed James from Swansea. While majority the ones transferred from PL clubs cost minimum around 20m in average for young homegrown players which I have mentioned before.

What about you stop talking non-sense and start list me lot of names/cases, no point arguing and make false claim.

We're being played by agents. Exactly as Evra said a month ago - every agent in the world looks at United for a payday. Now, because we're not proactive and we don't plan anything, we're at the mercy of agents. Surely there's a young striker in the Championship who suits us better than Cavani with his crazy wages? Even someone from Ligue 1? There's brilliant players throughout the French and German leagues but our scouts don't do anything so we can't find them. If we don't get Sancho I don't see United finishing in the top 5 this season.

We all love United
Little wonder we have no time to settle our own business. We have had to respond to every fecking agent hawking out their players to us at this point of the window

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
Were panicking by rejecting players that get offered to us? I’m laughing at you for suggesting such.
Agents will be offering us players at ludicrous fees/wages because they’re sensing we’re dumb enough and desperate enough to bite. See Cavani. But no, you’re right. Everything is going swimmingly. We’re relaxed and calm following a clear strategy. Totally know what we’re doing.

All the reports have said we don’t want to pay what he’s asking...

What does it mean? Are they saying: "United paid the release clause but Peñarol own 20%, agents own the rest? We paid the release clause but to only one party. The other party (Peñarol) haven't accepted." ?
#MUFC pay @OficialCAP @FPellistri07 release clause!

Because of regulations, Penarol won’t be given up to 20% of the value paid, which is a part of what the agents of the player are asking.

The deal seems to be on hold because of this problem.

And hopefully we don’t. I was replying to a comment saying have we enquired or are we being offered players. The perception is we’re desperate. The perception is we overpay. Maybe these things aren’t true and it’s smoke and mirrors though I’m suspecting we have no clue what we’re actually doing. Agents will be offering us players all over the place the next few days because they will sense a panic buy coming from us. The same sort of shite buy which meant we ended up with Ighalo for 100k a week.

I’d take Benrahma over Cavani. Every time I’ve seen him he’s looked quality.

Cue a load of united fans over hyping his ability and throwing a load of pressure on this kid's shoulders to become a revelation straight away and save our season
Cue fans being frustrated that we only have James and Pellistri as options after 15 months of chasing Jadon Sancho.

Ah desperation. Cavani has been offered to every club in Europe and beyond for months, but when you miss out on your targets its time to get the chequebook out for a 33 year old

This Cavani deal is clearly done. At least it's only a 2 year deal. Still very unhappy with it and felt we had enough cover for striker with Rashford and Greenwood. Dreading the reveal of Cavani's wage. If the Sancho deal doesn't get done after completing a deal like this then I don't even understand what the board are thinking.

Hope this isn't like Sanchez where he takes Martial's preferred position and completely destroys his form like last time.

So we are getting a striker who is good in the air...if only we had some players who could cross the ball, hint hint.

We don't have cover for RW though, it is Greenwood or nothing. Mata is not good there, so Cavani can cover for Martial. He is definitely an upgrade on Ighalo. Still a desperation signing.

Going from someone who could be a superstar for a decade to Cavani + is a hell of a difference.

Then again, its a smaller gap than Haland to Ighalo so I shouldn't complain.

Will be interesting to see what wages he is coming on. If it's 150-200k I'll be happy enough because he's a player I've liked for a long time.

But if we've done exactly what we did with Schweinsteiger, Falcao and Sanchez and thrown way too much cash as a player past his prime it won't inspire confidence in the supposed change of direction at the club.

If only there was a world class RW we could sign...
