It will be nice to see a player who will zip along the pitch for a few months.

Fingers crossed he can avoid looking like he's wearing lead boots like all our other signings.

It's all well and good whipping balls into the box, but we have no presence inside. Martial is too busy throat-punching the opposition.

Feet up at home.

Anyone catch Sky's apology right at the end of the show for what Souness said about Latin countries and their mentality?

Very happy with this signing. Telles+Cavani will be another Young+Fellaini. Crosses into the box and bullet headers.

Great signing. Since his arrival he was constantly the best LB in the league, even if Grimaldo tends to be more flashy

Nice to finally see this one done. Can't say I've seen too much of him but it finally seems that we have a good alternative at left at the very least, and maybe an improvement depending on how he adapts. Not a bad price tbf. Seems like he could be more useful against teams that want to sit back, if there are any left that will do that against us after yesterday's shit show.

Have a feeling he'll be like many of our signings in the last 10 years - decent first few games, then regression to garbage once the coaches work on him...

Do we know what his English is like?

Generally our players speak good English so hopefully he does too to help integrate him quickly

Delighted this is done in the end. Should've been sorted out ages ago, but ok it happens (just shouldn't with every signing). Hopefully goes right into the starting 11.

Imagine Shaw trying this

That is what puzzles me. We are dealing with all these transfers on deadline day, some of them could have been done weeks ago. Oh I know we were wasting our time chasing after Sancho for an eternity and then get an embarrassing defeat and they think we better get on and do something.

:( Even fecking Darmian (player of the month!) and Schweinsteiger started well here! We truly do ruin players.
They all win player of the month when they first join  By the same point last season Maguire was looking like the second coming of Vidic, now he's fouling his own man in his own box

Maybe he can at least kick-start our season before regressing to his mean. Can't underestimate the effect of new signing bounce

11 goals and 8 assists for him last year. As an LB.

I'm not sure Shaw has that in his whole time with us.

Definitely an improvement. It's been a long time since we had a full back that can actually cross the ball.

Can't wait to see how he'll perform. Especially with Cavani to be at the end of those crosses.

Still get that buzz when a player signs for us. Hope he plays well here and enjoys his time with us.
Think that’s been beaten out of me to be honest.

I liked his interview though, hopefully can become a regular and prove me wrong about the current demand for attacking fullbacks.

Love a left footer that has a "ping" and a "whip" on them. Should allow for a 3-5-2 or a diamond as well.

Is he going straight into the first team? That's all I care about.
