Can not get more emphatic than a big Yes!
I suppose we are signing Pellistri as well as this bloke to really cover our RW options :nono:
I think Stefanovic plays a lot on the left so they can play together. We've suddenly started spending real money on players for the academy.

So you think it is true that we have signed him?
Hard to say when there's been no official announcement. I can understand keeping it quiet for the players development though if we have signed him and loaned him back to his club. I certainly hope we've signed him. Looks a real talent.

I think if we had signed him and loaned him back that would have to be announced regardless.

So you think after us signing two highly rated teenage wingers and Elanga looking good in the U23s we are going to bring this guy in next season?
Diallo will hopefully make the RWF position his own in the the near future and along with Elanga, Rashford and potentially Sancho, the LWF role could will also look strong.

If not Sancho then there's others that we should target because there's more than one way to skin a Cat and challenge for the league and it would be financially prudent aswell. This fixation with Sancho makes little sense to me for the ridiculous price being asked. What's important is to have a team that can sacrifice defensive stability for goals which requires players who are not only good in offensive transition but it also requires players who can defend resolutely in isolation which is our biggest problem IMO.

A CB and a DM who are strong at enforcing/resisting high pressure should be prioritized ahead of Sancho because otherwise we won't give the attackers the platform to sustain attacks because we don't have players who can provide defensive balance in a high risk approach.

I think our pursuit of Sancho is over and we are going to see these two young wingers fight for the RW position in the future.
I think that Garner will be back to fill the DM role depending on his performances with Watford but Ole is not going to bring one in and VDS has said that VDB prefers to play deeper.
I agree about the CB position though as we look a shambles too often for my liking.

Maybe it was all a misunderstanding from Serbian sources about which Manchester club was in for him? We’re known simply as “Manchester” in a lot of non-English countries. ;)

It's okay. We can be hoarding all of the upcoming talent. We got Traore whose equally talented, if not more. We need to get that Nuno Mendes from Sporting Lisbon and have him loaned out for 2 years. He could take over from Telles in a couple of years. I think we need Dennis Zakaria and Upamecano to shore up our defense.

Traore looks a much bigger talent from the highlights. And if @Hound Dog 's (Serbian poster) posts are anything to go by then Stevanovic isn't as big of a loss.

But the question is, will Stevanovic play 20 games for City's first team @Hound Dog ?

He is in decline already as we were going to sign him for 12mil but City are getting him for 6mil

He'll be featuring for the u23s and a couple games in the league cup. I can't see him competing with the likes of Sterling, Mahrez, Foden, B Silva and Torres just yet.

Traore has immense potential, he's coming into the league being bought for almost 35m (add ons included) which is a pretty heavy price tag for someone whose played a handful of senior level games. I hope he's got the mentality to deal with the pressures that come with playing for United.

FC Partizan is pleased to announce the transfer of Filip Stevanović to @ManCity , in the winter transition period of 2021. The transfer of Filip Stevanović to one of the largest European clubs is a significant confirmation of the good and hard work of all club structures

Whoever won the game
Will he fare better than previous Partizan academy graduates moving to City, starting from Matija Nastasic and Stefan Savic, all the way to Stevan Jovetic ?

Jury is out.

Looked far more polished and close to first-team level than Pellistri when watching their highlights. Let's hope we made the right choice, good chance he gets buried at City.

I have a feeling we stumped up for Diallo over this guy instead. Pellistri is more of a left field punt. I've seen a few reports on him suggesting he'll move more central at some point rather than stay out on the wing.

Yeah Pellistri just doesn't come off as a winger to me when I watch him, hard to make it as a right-footed right winger these days anyway unless you're truly elite in some categories (like Sancho is in vision and decision-making). Was just comparing them since their prices are pretty similar, Diallo was a bit of a mega-deal for his age. Though Stevanovic is a left winger which we have plenty of, maybe the reason we didn't feel it was necessary to sign him

Didn't even realise he was a LW, so it makes sense we didn't go for him. Already have plenty there, and I like what I've seen of Elanga too. Think he has a chance if he keeps up his development.

This kid is obviously talented if we were interested and City thought he was worth bringing in. Although, I feel like they've started to go the Chelsea route using their link to Girona as a talent farm... Time will tell.
