I always liked Rom and was annoyed that Ole sold him, albeit I accept we needed to raise cash to invest in our defence.
He provides a different way of playing, which would have complimented our current approach. The task was always finding a way to mitigate his weaknesses and only exposing his strengths.

He's gone for a defensive everything, the couple times early we got in their half, there was nobody anywhere near the box anyway.
Absolute shithouse tactics, going for a draw from the start, now we've conceded we have to try something but the quality on the pitch is terrible. No confidence in that defense so the midfields and forwards can't do their attacking jobs.
Dier is a DM: he shouldn’t be a CB, even in a 3 man partnership.

Same here. He’s clearly a good player and offers something different. He thrives on balls in behind and good crosses. Help him with the first touch and you have a class striker. We should never have sold him, considering we reinvested in dross like Maguire. AWB is fine, but we could have done that without selling Rom.
