The story on the first playthrough is a pretty typical Shounen anime story. You start discovering more interesting things in second playthrough that you didn't know about and third playthrough is when the game takes a U turn.
I will keep playing it for sure, but the gameplay is just slightly boring to me, that's mostly my peeve

Can't help about the gameplay. :D It's the typical hack and slash Platinumgames are known for, fast paced and lots of combos happening on screen. You can try upping the difficulty if you are finding it easy though.

That's the thing though. I loved the Bayonetta games and that weird metal gear spin off. This feels like a rather simplistic version of that with some numbers added in for RPG flavor. For instance, you can beat most bosses unscathed by blindly mashing the dodge button. That feels a bit lame.

Though I'm not that far in, so it might get a bit more complicated yet :)

Definitely keep on. I'm sure it'll grab your attention the more you dive deep into it and its subsequent playthroughs.

Wonderful game.

Beautifully designed. The character and world design are great and combat was clever and intricate, even while being a bit repetetive. It felt a little inconsequential too; just another task to complete rather than a genuine challenge that had to be overcome. The game is quite slow in places and the walking and fetching is not what I play games for but there are some brilliant moments that make everything worth while. Route A looked a bit sign-posty, and seemed unwilling to fully explore it's ideas but the B route is where the game really pays off, expanding upon it's ideas and executing deep philisophical themes within affecting storytelling. The Opera Singer is probably the best bit of writing I've seen in a game since Sander Cohen from BioShock. The whole design of the boss, with the music and cut scenes makes it the standout moment for me.

This is what Blade Runner 2049 should have been like.

OK, went back to this, glad I did. Just reached some Sephiroth look-a-like dude with a vagina. The difference between Normal and hard though is massive, had to go back to normal for now until I get better used to the game. The soundtrack is excellent so far aswell.

I've tried so hard to get into this a few times now and I just can't do it.

I am liking the game and now I feel I am near the end of 2B ending. Not particularly happy to play the same game from 9S' viewpoint though.

Finished the second ending. One of the best games I've ever played (and arguably the third-best game of the last decade I've played after The Witcher 3 and Mass Effect 2).

I was so wrong about not being happy to play from 9S viewpoint.

Getting review bombed by angry stream users because the gamepass version is better. Not sure why Square have not even released one patch for the Steam version, so I can see why steam users are frustrated.
