So basically this documentary from 1999 on the world of wrestling arrived on netflix a few days ago. If you haven't seen it I would recommend you watch it. Its really humbling and makes you think what these guy's put themselves through. Watching the section on jake the snake Robert's was sad to see.

Watched it years ago and decided to watch it again the other day. The Jake segment was bad and it reminds me of the situation Scott hall was in a few years ago. When they put him on that Indy show despite being heavily intoxicated that he couldn’t even stand up

Yeah I rewatched this after seeing it pop up on Netflix. Nice to know that Jake has bounced back from all of that. He's had a messed up life.

I actually had that King of Death Matches tournament that Foley won somewhere on VHS. It was insane.

I read that he's actually relapsed over the last couple of weeks.

Must be a terrible time right now for people battling addictions.

One of my favourite ever documentaries. If you like this you should watch all the Dark Side of the Ring episodes. A lot of them are on YouTube

Watched this last night, it felt like it needed to be longer, as it seemed to skip to another segment pretty sharply. But what is there is good. Particularly the Mick Foley section. I didn't know his family were down in the front row for that I Quit Match. That was hard to watch. I remember staying up til about 4am to watch that and going to school the next day, it was brutal then, and is even more so now by the standard of wrestling today.

For more wrestling docs, the Monday Night Wars episodes are a really good watch. Not sure where to find them other than WWE Network, which is worth taking up a free month to binge through the, The shady underhanded tactics WCW used to overcome the WWE were pretty impressive. Eric Bischoff was ruthless.

The Jake the Snake documentary is also good, but a tough watch. Him and Scott Hall have gone through some shit, but Diamond Dallas Page is one super cool guy.

I recall Mick was pissed at The Rock after the game because The Rock didn’t check up on him or thank him for the match.
