Interestingly we did not miss harry maguire. Great performance! A bit more ball quality, and a touch of quality in the final third would have seen us score a couple more.
For real, that was the only thing I was nervous about.

Very well done.... Excellent from Axel, McT survived and played well against Neymar, Fred was boss and Telles looked very, very good in his debut!

Good game. My biggest complaint today is that our forwards need to get a little more greedy. Seemed as though everyone (Rashford in particular) were trying too hard to get Martial a goal and were forcing passes when a shot was on. Other than that, a well deserved victory...

De Gea...I've been a critic. He was really good today. Came off his line for some balls that he normally wouldn't. I would like to see him be a little braver on some of those balls he kicked. But good game none the less.

Telles...That is a sweet left foot that will provide a lot of assists. Shaw has done nothing wrong and is a fantastic LB, but I want to see more of Telles

Tuanzebe...The surprise of the day. Didn't think he would be included. I thought for sure McTominay would be at the back. He did well. Would like to see more. Too bad he's right footed though. If he were left footed he would almost be an automatic starter

AWB...my man of the match. My phone says he only made 3 tackles but it seemed like a lot more. M'Bappe may have some nightmares tonight...

Ole...made the right subs at the right time to change the game

Rashford...was going to be my "donkey" of the match but he scored the winner. Sorry Martial, but you take that honour now

Many questions answered in this game about:
- Fred and McTominay midfield
- Telles
- Shaw as LCB

Some new questions:
- Tuanzebe looks decent
- this formation in difficult away games, or maybe even as a default?

PSG were shit, but so was Rashford. If we had Mbappe we would've scored 5. Great team effort overall (strikers aside).
Cool look at things: away from emotion of night, win away etc. You are right of course. But he took his opportunity well. Actually Rashford was very poor in his decision making overall. For another day, maybe. He did win us the game.

What a great game to watch.
Solid performance with a little dodgy spell but we absolutely smashed them. Beautiful finish from Rashford but a big shout out for DDG, AXEL & AWB. The lads looked well composed & comfortable & played really well. Delighted with the result & TBH we could’ve had a lot more. well deserved win lads, well done!

Great performance. Solid performance by Tuanzebe. Lindelof looked much calmer beside him.

Scott and Fred need to start together as much as possible. That combination works so much better than any combination with Matic or Pogba. And we've looked really good with two - or three - of Bruno, Pogba, VDB and Mata in front of them. Then two of Rashford, Martial, Greenwood or Cavani up front. Brazil 4-2-2-2 style.

Well deserved win, and Rashford redeeming himself after messing up openings early and being rewarded for keeping going was a great end. Much more solid with a workable midfield, a lot of stand out performances tonight, Lindelof was excellent, Bruno a machine and Axel did great for his first game in forever. De Gea like De Gea of old a thing to see.

Genuinely thought Fred was outstanding in midfield tonight. Great win against champions league finalists and if Martial and Rashford were switched on we could have buried them. Next game will ultimately tell us whether this was our new norm or the anomaly. Buzzing for now though

As many posters say, best game I’ve seen in quite a while, and against the very best opposition as well. 10/10 performance. Wow!

This is why Fred & McTominay work so well together; they cover so much of the pitch and keep the opposition in check no matter where the ball tends to go. They also do a good job of winning the ball and putting the opposition under pressure on their first touch. There were so many occasions where either Fred intercepted the ball or McTominay put a quick foot in to make the opposition uncomfortable.

Where the grass is greener.
Scott and Fred are perfect in this type of game, but in games where we're going to have more of the ball, it shouldn't be the starting midfield for me. But they did brilliantly tonight.

Can't get over than Tuanzebe performance, after a year out, not having played much anyway, against Mbappe and Neymar.

And we've got another coming through that's thought of similarly highly? Maybe we didn't need to buy that CB after all.

Really impressive all round. Rashford atoned for his wastefulness with that striiiiiiiiiike.

I actually think this is how we need to start setting up in the CL. Axel/Lindelof/Shaw worked really well.

Key now is keep perspective, we're not suddenly an amazing team but this is how we can start to build some momentum. Telles looks an absolute baller.

Tuanzebes going to need 1000 protein shakes after playing like that after 10 months.

Nailed on starter from today (after his deserved rest the next game)

What a game, what a performance from the team! We were superb, AWB put in an incredible display, Tuanzebe has no right to play that well on his return, great debut from Telles, Fred was great. Rashford was poor for the first 70 but when Pogba came on he came to life and scored a cracking winner!!!

PSG can have no complaints, they have a brilliant front 3 but without Veratti they lucked lacklustre and there was no luck this time, we were the better team and won fair and square.

Brilliant result and an almost perfect away European performance. Absolutely buzzing, and I think its important that we take a step back and realise the situation we are in - United have just gone toe to toe with last seasons finalist and won, deservedly. I said after the Sevilla game last season that the important thing to take away from it was that we proved that we belonged at this level. Tonight we showed that again. This is the progress that this team is making!!

Tactically very good. Tuanzebe & Diallo were the best players on the pitch, and Lindelof showed again that he is a much better player than the hipsters would have you believe. McT played well again too. So glad Rashford got the goal because he wasted a couple of great situations and doesn't look half as natural on the right side of the pitch. No way he passes that ball just after half time if hes coming from the left.

I wrote this last night in the match thread:

Id play a 4312 personally. My concern over a back 3 is that while it looks more defensively secure on paper I can see players of the quality of Neymar, Mbappe & Di Maria dragging them all over the place to the point where the wing backs can't get forward. It gives us little hope of getting a foothold in the game and we'll resort to long balls down the channels.

I think we're better than that, and PSG have key midfielders missing. A 4312 with 3 of Fred/McT/Pogba/VDB gives us a good chance of controlling the midfield. Rashford and Martial can try to drag defenders out wide so that Bruno, and when possible Pogba or VDB or even both, can exploit the spaces.

I was disappointed not to see us start with this formation, because I think once we replaced Telles (who was encouraging) with Pogba and went to this formation we really dominated, but to be fair to Ole I think he was right to play a tight first hour and then open things up.

Anyway, great night. Back in the Champions League. Massive away win against a favourite. This is what you call progress. Its right here, and happening now. Anybody still struggling to enjoy this ride?

Nasty when we score first against such opponents. These footballing teams who play the high line won't want to play us just as we must avoid the Sevillas of the world.

Really good performance and they didn't really have a sniff.

When it looked like we were getting over-run Ole made the change and got us back on to the front foot.

Best defensive performance I've seen from us in a while. We need to do everything we can to keep Tuanzebe fit. He was absolute quality tonight.

I kept thinking of the Newcastle game but without the goals, we was in control most of the game and at times they didn’t know what to do with us. Rashford could have had an hat trick. We created a lot of chances and if we finished them it could have been like the Newcastle game!

Top team selection from Ole and what a performance from Fred. We could have really finished them off earlier as they looked threatening to the end but Ole bringing on Pogba was a game changer!!

.....and there were fans on here talking about relegation...behave

playing Mbappe twice in 48 hours, last week, must have cost him...Axel kept up with him on those one-on-one sprint (that was shocking to see)..his electric pace was not there

Compare that tonight to Brighton away in the league, or palace at home....night and day.

Why do these players perform like this in the bigger games and look clueless heartless and disjointed at times against lesser teams???

I dont get it....

That said , the performance tonight was great.

Back 3 is the answer

Almost very good overall. Glad we started with a win - we really need it. That was an amazing game from Tuanzebe!

We had a good setup tactically, the players wanting more, and took our chances quite well.

Aside from the own goal Martial should have done better with his game I think. Also, we could have done some of the counter attacking better (release the ball early). Glad to see AWB is popping up more with his forward runs, personally he deserved a pass too when Rashy decided to shoot and Navas saved it.

Thanks to the idea that Pogba sub was brilliant, we really need someone to balance the attack together with Bruno. Fred could not do that role - he could not create chance nor made a good passing when trying to fill that role on the right side.

Finally, Pogba also rose up in this kind of role, instead of two man midfield with Matic. This tactic may work well in certain situations I am willing to bet with this tactic against defensive sides too because we can exploit them with the advanced full back position as well. 2 strikers (Martial, Rashy), 2 advanced wide AM (Bruno, Pogba), and possibly 2 advanced FB (Telles, AWB), 2 DM (Fred, McT).
