I liked Telles a lot today. He provides more than Shaw from the attacking perspective, and we may use it. Set piece delivery is also brilliant. Defensively, we don’t yet know - PSG preferred to attack via Bissaka’s end instead
To be fair to Shaw, Telles was a wing back today.

I don't know, I'm usually wrong about players so I wont be too sure about this but he strikes me as a fan favourite and a typical United player. Might not be a world beater, but he gets us.. kinda like the Herrera signing but a LB.

If we merge him and Shaw, we could create the best fullback in the world.

Slabhead will love those Telles crosses from corners. Harry would have scored a header tonight from one of those corners I'm sure of it.

Also I think it is a must to have Telles on when we will play Cavani up front. El Matador would deal with these crosses

A very credible debut. It was impressive how quickly and easily he slotted in. Also his set piece delivery is superb. Can imagine Cavani loving those crosses.

His crossing is amazing. What amazing isn’t just the quality but how he can pull it off in tight space, there was one time when he was one on one in tight space, doing one foot step over, moved the ball slightly to his left and crossed it.

And also he wasn’t just blindly crossing it, I realised he often have a look first before decide to cross or not to cross. When there is no players or the player isn’t in the right place to receive it, he decided not to cross.

Seems to have good attitude on the pitch, trying his best for the team.

I think he is a better fit for us than Reguilon.
I’s have preferred Reguilon personally mainly because he’s a fair bit faster and carries the ball better. It’s a toss up though, they have different strengths. Reguilon is like an orthodox winger in his ability to dribble at pace up and down the touch line, whereas Telles is like Beckham playing full back. Doesn’t give you the same pace and penetration running with the ball, but you won’t find better crossing.

I think Shaw is better than Telles running with the ball and general free play, although far worse end product.

Great left boot. Could be an absolute "moneyball" signing along with Cavani. His corners and crosses in play will = goals.

I'm thinking that Cavani, Maguire and McTominay attacking those pinpoint deliveries is going to yield a lot of goals this season.

Feels like we may finally be a threat from set pieces again, with the level of delivery that Bruno and Telles can produce, and the right personnel to attack the crosses.

He adds another dimension to our game beyond just being a quality full back, and that can never be a bad thing.

As I suspected he slots in perfectly.

is he world class? No but he is a very good left back and for the price you guys paid for him you will not find better.

More importantly as I emphasized before he signed he would not need a “adjustment” period. He is a ready made player at his age and with bags of experience in both a championship winning team as well as a consistent CL team.

Great signing and easily a starter here.

Liked everything I saw. And that’s on his debut, playing with guys he’s literally just met, against one of the best teams and attacking units in the world.

he looked so naturally at home high up on the left hand side, immediately creating chemistry with Rashford.

And his corners :eek: Feels like so long since we had someone who could whip in the ball like that: Maguire and Canavi are going to feast like it’s 1999.

was also nice to see him and potential rival Shaw show how they can play together too.

finally we have options ...

Remember when Ashley Young would just look at the ball and blindly drive it into the box hoping someone was there? That was good enough for this team for 7 or so seasons. This is at least a viable option on the attack now.

Great debut. His crosses are absolutely wicked. We will be a huge threat from set pieces now for a change!

Exactly what I was hoping to see from him! Plays with intelligence and intensity, and can play as a normal fullback or a wing back perfectly. Love the way he looks to pick someone out, and has the technical ability to whip it in properly too. Those corners were incredible especially, but the biggest plus is the general play. He'll be key for us throughout the season.

It’s basically what Trent has made a career out of and he’s considered the best RB in the world.

Great debut. Everything about his play has already been said, but one thing that struck me was when Martial scored the own goal, Telles was stood next to him and immediately consoled him - team player. Bruno, him, and Fred seemed to have a great connection and I look forward to seeing more of it

I've wanted him at United for ages and now it seems we've got him for his prime years.

Couldn't have asked for much more from a LB on his debut at PSG away. Fantastic.

I thought it was illegal for our players to hit good corners. Turns out they've just been unable to for about 15 years.
Its mad isn't it? When was the last time we had a truly great corner taker? Beckham?

If we revert back to our usual 4231 i am excited to see what him and Rashford can make of it down the left. Rashford and Shaw, despite playing together in those roles for nearly two years now have not really developed into anything

He looks very capable of finding the likes of Maguire, Pogba, Lindelof & Cavani with that wicked delivery

Great going forward - pacey and can swing in crosses a la Mendy in his first season at City. It's a wonder we were able to get his signature as easily as we did, and for that price too. Turning out to be a steal.

Almost like a left footed David Beckham. I think if Beckham played during this era he would have been a modern right back, or a #8.

those crosses were whipped beautifully. Too bad we don't play an out and out striker to get to the end of those beauties

I even like that attempt of a pony tail or whatever the feck that shit on his head is. Good player and you can see his experience in the Cl showing, not fazed either a bit on his debut.
