It's great to see, there are mini-battles in each position. Our squad feels much stronger, that's from internal improvement from players as well as new signings. Feel like this is getting the best out of our players performances.

Examples:
De Gea vs Henderson
Telles vs Shaw
Fred vs Pogba
Lindelöf vs Tuanzebe
McTominay vs Matić
Cavani vs Martial
Greenwood vs Mata
Bruno Fernandes vs Van de Beek

Feels good man. Been a long time coming. Ole may not be perfect week in week out, but he’s got the squad heading in the right direction better than any of the other proven managers did.

At that price, VDB is a very good addition. He can adequately cover so many crucial positions, and with potential to claim a starting XI.

And Telles is really good addition to challenge/cover LB and possibly LW also.

Edit: Cavani, if he stays fit, is a masterstroke. Under Fergie, we always had this experience striker on the squad. And Cavani fits this profile.

While not the summer we wanted, the players we got in contribute goals which we've been lacking, and plenty of CL experience.

Feels like there's a lot more pressure on our players to perform, unlike the days of watching Lingard/Pereira produce nothing for games on end.

Definitely on an upward trajectory, despite a couple of really bad losses. The reaction to the Spurs defeat has been top class. Shows real mental fortitude.

I look at the squad now and I see options, cover, different avenues of attack, a set piece threat once more and some depth as well. I have high hopes for this season.

Will be nice to see a proper rotation, not just due to tactical tweaks due to strength of opposition or injury. Will keep everyone fresh & interested, not complacent (see Pogba, Maguire).

I don't think we are there yet. I mean we have players, but the gulf is class between some of them is a bit too wide for a side looking to challenge on all fronts.

But this is a large step in the right direction and am enjoying witness the squad Ole is building.

Great to see. Annoyed that it took us so long to sort it out, as every game counts and we really fecked up our start to the season in big part because of how we handled that window, but I said it after deadline day that at least we did get a solid group in at the end of the day which is the key thing for the season.

I think we should still sing a new DM/CF for sure and see how Mengi/Axel develops this season before deciding on Lindelof/Baily futures.

Wish we can also sell Pogba/Lingard/Rojo/Jones to clear out some mess.
