Quells those Greenwood rumours.
I'm sure that wont stop the likes of daily mail and the sun continuing to make up lies for their new target in greenwood when it comes to their agenda of assassinating the character of a young black English footballer.

Ole is just incredible at press conferences.
He has obviously worked hard on the positive language he has used,
everything he says he uses positive language instead of Jose style negatives.
For example, instead of bad or poor games, he used 'less good'...simple change but positive none the less.
Excellent communication skills and superb psychological use of language.

I wish they'd ask some interesting questions. Like what do you see Cavani's role being and best position. What options do you think Telles gives you and do you think Fred and McSauce have nailed down regular places, i/e are they theirs to lose now?

In contention, probably on the bench.
After Tuesday's performance, I wouldn't mind seeing the same XI start. But, without anything statistical to back this claim up, I feel like we always end up struggling against Chelsea when we play a back three?

I say we go back to the original formation but for once try Fred Pogba and Bruno in midfield. No double pivot but instead Pogba and Bruno as 2 number 8s. Fred and Mctominay can swap each other when it's time to substitute and DVDB and Bruno/Pogba for the same. Cavani/ Martial for the same.

Feck right off with your interesting questions.

Far too logical and insightful:)

What was the Sorloth leak stuff about?
Dressing room argument between him and Lagerback.

What's the situation with Cavani, I can't be bothered to watch the video.
He wants "to tick all the boxes" with regards to his preparations, Ole said. Sounds like he needs to feel ready and is close to it. But of course, we probably do need him tomorrow (at least on the bench).

Also I agree with regards to Ole's press conferences, he does have a beautiful way of answering questions. Even those who irritate him with un-professional questions. I have hated watching updates from LvG and Jose in the past years, they are very cranky and lately watching people like Klopp, Pep and Lampard getting irritated during tough times makes me think Ole is handling his emotions in the most professional way. Ole all the way. I hope the players give everything for him on the pitch and even IF in the future the United board decide to bring in Poch for Ole, I hope Ole sticks around and plays a part of the team. He's everything we've wanted other managers to do since SAF left. The man has everything possible in his power for the betterment of the team/squad and the club. He deserves the praise he gets and should stick around as long as he possibly can.

Unfortunately he doesn't get anywhere near enough of it, sometimes from people who profess to be fans of the club. Pretty sad, really.

Generally we have played a back three/five to match up to what Chelsea play, but you're right, it's always back fired.
I think due to Chelsea's players being more comfortable in that shape.
I'd like to see the same shape, if not the same 11 however I still have a sneaky suspicion that Pogba might be preferred to Fred or McT, just to control possession a bit more.

I am hoping we go with a 4-3-1-2 tomorrow. It could open up Chelsea at the back, and negate Chelsea's central build up. The worry however will be crosses from their RB - which Pogba will need to stop most of the game. Always a risky proposition.

As Martial is out, it will be interesting to see how Mason performs in a more central role. Great to know that he is in contention for tomorrow.

Interesting in the post-presser interview with MUTV that he has Pellistri, Williams and Rojo playing with the U23s v Everton U23 tonight. Pellistri obviously just acclimatisation, but for the latter two to give them minutes so they're available for next week. Sounds as if Rojo may get some game time now there's no loan/move for him.

Rojo and Tuanzebe partnership is what I would vote for atm. One can be the aggressor and Tuanzebe can sweep up if needed.

Rojo is omitted from both CL and PL squads I think?

Rojo has lost his pace and dives into challenges too much, would get found out in a back two too easily.
Can see Ole using him in Cup matches, which was what he seemed to have in mind last season before his loan move, or on the bench as cover for in-match injuries. He's 30, so probably lost some pace, although lack of serious game time will have contributed to that.

Think it was more the ACL injury, wasn't the same after that pace wise.

Yes, he's omitted from the ECL squad (Pellistri named instead) but named in the EPL squad. Pellistri technically doesn't need to be named in either, he can be added from the 'B' list.
I think Pellistri needs to be included in the champions league squad to be able to play. Europe demands a young player to have been at the club for a couple of years before he gets "a free registration".
In the league though, just by being u21 you get in.

Ah, the things that football managers teaches... and they say playing video games is useless... haha

I stand corrected and you are right!
"A player may be registered on List B if he is born on, or after, 1 January 1999 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday (players aged 16 may be submitted if they have been registered with the club for the previous two years)"

There's always that!!
But it's definitely something he's worked on, probably with a specialist.
Trust me, listen out for his use of language in conferences and interviews and you'll notice what I mean.

Yeah, there was a story in the Aftenposten that Ole gets a bonus for every press conference where he avoids saying anything negative after the terrible reaction to Ed and his transfer committee at the start of the season.

too much effort?

Ole has tried various combinations of fred and McT with other players but none was eyebrow raising performance. But when they play together they become like left hand right hand. They clap when they play together.

If so, good on him.

There’s a lot to be said about a leader setting a positive tone.

If you hear nothing but misery from the man at the top then it will eventually grind the squad down.

Don't really understand this embargo thing. There were no great revelations in that part. Just some questions and answers.

What's the point of the embargo?
So the printed press has something "new" in their papers.
