This is all on Ole and his shit decisions today. Stupid lineup, gave both Mata and James 55 minutes. Diabolical decision to even let James go out for the second half. Then he fecked up again by moving Bruno to the right, completely taking him off the game and letting McTominay and Fred pass the ball around like if we were 3-0 up. Put Greenwood on way too late too, the kid created two chances out of nowhere and made more in 5 minutes than James has done the entire season.

Crazy how he can smile about this at the end. And what is the point of VDB? He's been great in every game that he's played and yet nowhere to be seen.
We played Chelsea, came out with a draw and you are here acting like we lost...i saw this performance as both teams cancelling each other out. Don't know why every non win has to be so negative.

At the end both managers seemed to have got what they wanted. Cowardice prevailed.

The James experiment has run it's course in my opinion. Shaw was also bad today.

Fred did okay, Pogba took Bruno out the game, and Mendy Chelsea them in it.

I'm annoyed about the result, but I feel like it is fair as we did very little to show we really wanted to take all 3 points.

Annoying they finally found a competent keeper. Kepa in goal and I think we win that easily.

De Gea had nothing to do all match.

Both teams will be happy with a clean sheet I’d imagine. A little disappointing, and a lot boring, but hopefully we can grow into the seasons with the options we have in the squad now.

Disappointing. Should have gone for the jugular from minute 1.

Lampard is a proper coward. You can tell he's from the Jose school of coaching - set his team out not to concede from the start.

Having said that we did him a massive favour by starting Dan fecking James. Ole's selections are baffling. They were there for the taking FFS.

Boring game. James should have never started. Might as well start with vDB there. Was really hoping for Telles and Cavani combination. Goals guaranteed against Chelsea... I thought.

Stayed up till 2 am and for what. I'm off to :boring:

Ranchero on CAF was more entertaining than the match. Terrible. How low have we sunk. Not even Moyes was this boring. At least he tried to get some crossed in.
I think this is one of the first times anyone can accuse ole of not setting out to win. Tonight was clearly set up not to lose. It’s not the end of the world at all considering last 2 games at OT

You buy a creative £40m player, and cant accommodate him in team thats crying out for creativity! Well done Ole, that truly deserves a round of applaus!

Chel set their stall out with team/formation but our tactic was still to play on the counter attack! Not good I'm afraid but at least we didn't lose!

Really good defensive performance. de Gea had absolutetly nothing to do. This part of the game was very positive.

Didn't create much, but that is not easy vs a team that came here to get a draw. We created enough to get a goal, but Mendy had a really good game.

All in all id say im pleased with this performance. Mile better vs start of our season. We are headed the right way.

Was okay.

Very cagey from both managers, I would have liked to see us be more adventurous.

That said, we were the better team, created three or four good chances. If any team deserved to win, it was us. Impressive defensive display from us too.

Against a good Chelsea side, one point while playing marginally better isn't the catastrophe people are making it out to be.

Not a game for the ages though.

Game was a waste of time. Lineup was shit and it was obvious what sort of game it'd be. Subs helped it, but not enough time in the end to win it. Shame. We have the players to be better and outplay Chelsea, but it won't happen with fecking Dan James and Mata in the attack.

Draw suits them more. At Old Trafford, after our bad results, we needed to win but didn't really go for it til late.

Such a stupid line up with Dan James. We played with 10 men on offense for a long time.
Other than that not much to complain about I guess.
Could have been better but meh. Dan James is the only thing where you go...omg hes a moron.

Keeping Fred on for an entire 90 minutes when you are chasing a routine home win is quite the decision. Struggling to understand how what was surely a horses-for-courses selection at Newcastle was then rolled out against Chelsea. Failing to score against this Chelsea at home is very poor. Their keeper was arguably MotM, but even so. A quite poor performance.

In a season that looks wide open, the sides that have signed the PSG retirees look miles off offering a title challenge as expected.

Not good enough, 4-2-3-1 hasn’t worked for us all season, looked so good vs PSG in a 3-5-2,

Chelsea earned their clean sheet rather than us not offering enough to score.

Even though we beat them 3 times last season, I felt we were pretty fortunate in each of those games. Weirdly we looked more composed/in control today than we did at any point against them last season.

Decent performance, frustrating result but not surprising. Bring on midweek CL!

:nervous: If we win tomorrow I’m going to start feeling quietly confident about the rest of the season after that showing.

Two points dropped in the battle for a top 4 finish. Mendy, Silva played a huge part in stopping United win that match. Cowardly tactics by Lampard and he and his team showed no ambition to win the game themselves, their only focus was on a 0-0 draw.

We are in total control and with a little luck, we can win this.

Personally, I am ok with the result. Chelsea is not a weak team and they obviously play for a draw.

Both teams should be copped a point for that. Chelsea came for a draw and we refused to punish them as well pathetic from both teams.

We cant play both shaw and AWB it leaves our attacking so shit in wide areas.

Fred needs someone who can pass next to him, Pogba should start somewhere in the attacking midfield, bruno needs to be central.

Cavani looked pretty good to be honest.

Same old story recently. Can’t break down a team that sits everyone behind the ball. Chelsea had zero ambition in that game

Bottled it. The team that finished vs PSG should have started. Go with the diamond and have VdB play up to with Rashford. I’m not ole out but I’d love it If he practised what he preached and set a team out that has opponents worried about what we can do, not “oh good they’ve gone with a team with high work rate”. We played into Chelsea’s hands.

3 points were there for the taking and we put out a team with little creativity and no support for Rashford.

Snorefest. Didn’t mind the starting XI apart from James. I think the weather in the first half played it’s part.

Ultra defensive Chelsea who didnt want to lose and a Utd side who deep down didn’t want to lose a third home match in a row too.

One step forward, one step back. Had a great performance and win vs. PSG, then follow it up with this. I was willing to give Ole the benefit of the doubt, but the starting 11 wasn't enough to beat Chelsea. What I think is worse is that we had players on the bench that could make a difference, but we didn't use them effectively. Sticking rigidly to 4-2-3-1 hindered us in this game. We had to change that up and try something different. We needed to not just change the players, but to change the system, too. Ole didn't seem to get that.

These are the important games. I feel that sometimes Ole is better at the one-off games, or the bigger one-off games. This is a big game off the back of another big game and we didn't perform. He needs to be far more demanding of his players. It's a results business and at the moment we/he/the club seem content with just "settling". We "settled" for a 0-0 today whereas a true Manchester United manager would have thrown the fecking sink to get the win.

Chelsea came for a draw, I think we honestly did as well looking at Ole's selection. That's probably all that needs to be said.

Paid the price for a cowardly team selection.
Feck off.

We were the better team but it was a tight game. Frustrated but we are going to be a force this season. Cavani and Pogba are just about to get match fit, once they get there we have a great squad.

Credit to Chelsea for coming to Old Trafford hoping for a point and getting it. They defended well. Would have been a different game if Rashford had finished his chances or VAR would have been competent.

Lindelöf was excellent. Fred was good, AWB made some crucial interceptions. Chelsea's 200m spent on attackers did nothing this game.
