Liverpool still the favorite for me. I know there is the assumption going around that this will.be the most unpredictable EPL season in some time but I dont see who can stop Liverpool other than City, meaning its thr dame 2 teams fighting again. I just dont rate any of the other teams as good enough.

Everton playing like actual Everton today. Serves them right for committing my biggest pet peeve in football, wearing their away strip when they don’t need to.

Ralph Hasenhüttl is a top manager imo. Hes got this group of average to good players, playing a good style of football. Its all about simple possession when in their own half, and positive possession in attacking areas. Everton looking really average today and cant get any sort of hold on the game.

We should switch to 3 at the back at HT. Iwobi off for Gordon.

missing Richarlisons work rate as I said before the game as for all James’ forward quality he does feck all defensively.

He's done very well.

I don’t think anybody really thinks it’s going to be anyone either than Liverpool or City tbh

Everton weren't going to keep up their form throughout the season.

Having said that Saints have been great this half and nullified their opponents.

adrenaline. You can see how horribly exposed he is today.
Adrenaline can only get you so far. He's obviously not a patch on Coleman, especially going forward, but it's often the case that when teams are missing a player(s), we tend to focus on the players that have come in. I just feel Soton have been better all over the pitch today, and feel it wouldn't have been any different if Coleman was playing.

That being said, it is only 2-0. A goal for you lot and you could easily go on to get a couple more.

When people keep bandying around chat that the league is "wide open" this year, surely no-one truly expected Everton to last the pace?

In the Liverpool game he did well but you could see positionally he was taking up CB positions rather than RB ones. He just isn’t a RB, can be a good player for us at CB though.

Based on what has happened in 2020 so far, I can't say I'd be surprised if someone other than Liverpool or City.
You know the cream will always rise to the top though.

Can’t believe I said that but it’s true..

Danny Ings is class. So are the Saints who seem to dominate in almost every game I have watched them play this season.

One year since Southampton lost that game 9-0.

Good for them they kept faith in Hasenhuttl, their record since then has been pretty much top 8 form.

I get that, but my point is you're not losing today because Godfrey is playing right back. Soton have been the better team.

Have to question whether Liverpool made a mistake here. Ings could have taken Firmino's place with how he has dropped off.

It was a shame that Ings got that really bad injury because he is a really good player.

I certainly don't. Yet people keep saying that it's "wide open", seemingly based on one freak defeat for Liverpool.
It's bizarre, they've not been playing that well, yet have comfortably beaten Chelsea and Arsenal, and have alreaedy ticked off Everton away where they were unlucky not to win.

I'd be the first to celebrate in their demise, but it doesn't seem to be this season, even without Van D.
Live in hope though!

Liverpool will only suffer the VVD injury in the latter stages of the CL. The PL is theirs, with or without VVD.

Jamie Carragher went over the top on MNF, saying it will affect them. The examples he used were silly of previous big players missing due to long term injuries and their teams not winning the league. (Neville Southall, Alan Hanson, Roy keane). What he failed to mention was their was another great team to take advantage. Unfortunately that is not the case this season.

Godfrey most certainly isn't a right back. Has no dribbling ability whatsoever and his positioning is poor.

Sigurdson has been very poor, and a bit lazy.

Please feck off, and no I am not saying this because I sold him in Fantasy earlier this season for Mitrovic, not at all... :(
He's turned from an absolute mediocrity into a super dangerous finisher. Amazing transformation, one DCL is threatening to emulate this season.
