He's the oldest golden boot winner in PL history, he didn't play in the Football League until the age of 25, has a PL goalscoring record that will be very hard to break, led a relegation threatened side to a PL title. He's definitely a PL legend.
this.
I don't think it's even debatable he's a PL legend. To do what he did (winning the league with Leicester, winning the golden boot at his age) is nothing sort of a miracle.

Brilliant player - but surely Rashfords record against top 6 must be up there as well.

2 against Arsenal
4 against City
3 against Spurs
3 against Liverpool
5 against Chelsea
4 against Leicester

Vardy is one of the best strikers in Premier League history, no doubt about it. His record is great for a club like Leicester; you also have to remember he played on the wing in his first season in the PL.

Also a major player in, arguably, the best Premier League win ever. He is definitely a Premier League legend.

When Rashford retires his big game record will be unmatched imo.

Good, and promising, but nowhere near the top.

10 against Arsenal
11 against City
7 against Liverpool
5 against Manutd
4 against Chelsea
5 against Tottenham

42 in 76 games against the traditional top six. Vardy is a bit unique, though, as he has done this for Leicester.

Aguero is number one, though (as of Aug 19 - I can't be bothered to add last seasons; didn't play much anyway). All compeitions.

15 against Chelsea
12 against Tottenham
11 against Arsenal
9 against Manutd
7 against Liverpool

54 goals and 13 assists in 75 games.

I agree. Clearly he’s not the best striker the league has seen. But definitely a legend.

Wasn’t someone making a Hollywood film about him?

I hated him after our 5-3 loss because of his antics but then the respect for him has increased 10 fold.

Down to earth, hardworking, calm but tenacious player - is there a more likeable player among the opposition players?

Huge respect for sticking with Leicester and turning down the big clubs.

fair play to him, a few yrs ago I just thought he was a speed merchant, but he has added to his game. Back then he just tried to smash the ball as hard as he could, now he definitely has more composure in his finishing.

Vardy saved my FPL this week! And I had kept him in only because of this record!

Scored the winnner away at arsenal after coming on as a sub
If im not mistaken thats 11 in 12 vs them
The crazy thing is he wasn't on the winning side against Arsenal until the 7th attempt and still has an inferior record Vs them overall and 5 of his goals came before he beat them.

Has there ever been a player who has such a good scoring record against the side but the results lacking by comparison? Compare that to say Drogba who scored the goals against them and matched them with the results aswell.

Of course he is a legend.

Not only that, probably the best example of a player to inspire people to never give up. Should make a movie out of him.

So true! Drogba in particular used to absolutely bully Arsenal

Not a knock on Vardy, though. The guy is legit.
What makes Drogba's record against them even more powerful is that when he turned up we were on 9 years without a league win against them.

He single handedly turned the tide in that fixture.

Yeah i meant he (Vardy) didn't beat them himself till the 7th attempt. One game in 14/15, two in 15/16 and 16/17, one in 17/18 before breaking the duck in the second fixture that season. But in those 6 games he didn't win he still scored 5, has there been a previous example of a player having such a good scoring record vs a team he took so long to be on the winning side against?
