Let’s not do this thread now please?

he bloody scored against us last time and never turned up since
Even if he scores the winner against us next week, it won’t change the fact he is shite and a waste of money.

Omg are you serious??!

He is without doubt one of the biggest flops in the prem considering how much he cost. One of the most expensive premier league players and he is bang average. They blown a shit load of money on him and are most probably regretting it now.

But of course, I know you’re wumming.
He’s jinxing him, get with it chief

My post was comical satire. Of course I’m just joking about the greatest ever player to wear the Arsenal shirt. I fully expect him to tear us apart next week.
Well said

I was surprised so many here wanted us to buy hm, his control is way too loose. It's amazing how the media aren't all over this signing and Kepa at Chelsea, if we'd bought either for the money they paid it would be a constant story.

What a player. You can't mention Arsenal without mentioning Pepe. Will go down in Arsenal's history for years to come.

It’s bizarre, it’s almost like his limbs are too long for him — he never looks in control of the ball when he’s dribbling. Reminds me a bit of Wan Bissaka

They're too busy watching every move Maguire makes.

Think he belongs in the 'who is the best player in the world' thread.

1v1 he is still as good as he was in Ligue 1, the difference is that he got a lot more counterattacking oppertunities in that league, at that time. And the defensive structure was not as good. Even when he played against defences in "balance", the spacing between the players was bigger than most of the teams in the EPL. Most EPL teams are extremely good at having 1,5 players covering good dribblers. And when Pepe gets around the first guy, he gets muscled off by the next.

What an idiot. Saw an interview from him a few weeks ago about how he wanted to show Arteta he deserves to be starting all the time, good way of showing it with stinky performances and a daft sending off.

72m for bebe. And arsenal fans have audacity to complain about other teams spending.

Top 5 for definite.
Torres for 50m at the time was a huge one.

Some would say Di Maria but at least we got 90% of the fee back.

Who would even put 40m into Pepe?

Pepe is that type of player who tries to be like Messi by beating 10 players by himself and ignoring his team mate and runners. You notice that arsenal players stop making run or intelligent movement because they know Pepe won’t find them or pass the ball to them. The quicker they sell him, the better for them so I hope they stuck with him for years.

So aftv crew have completely turned on him today. What he did today was just stupid. Reminds me of di maria's red card against arsenal in the fa cup where he grabbed Oliver's t shirt.

So, how's the investigation going on? It smells like money laundering involved.

I don't think he belongs in the top 5 worse signings. I think the transfer market has inflated so quickly over the last few years, that it's hard to gauge just how costly he is compared to previous flops. Paying 40 million plus is very common these days. In the past we've seen players that cost vast amounts who failed to have any impact. Pepe has been hugely disappointing obviously and there is no doubt he's flopped, but he did score 5 league goals last season and he's not a striker. I don't think he can be compared to the likes of Sheva, Soldado and Andy Carroll etc.

He’s not as bad as some people make him out to be but I’m glad we passed on him... and that says a lot because we desperately need a RW.

At least we remarkably got a fee from our friends from Milan for Lukaku. Arsenal will be lucky to get half of what they paid. They were too desperate.

That´s why I think it is good to wait and wait for our opportunity. Maybe City found a gem in Torres or maybe waiting for another year for Sancho will reap rewards in the future. He´s a safer bet with immense marketing potential along with footballing ability. 70mil pounds should be a good price for both parties I reckon in the current financial environment..
