Their press will be a pain to deal with and there's normally a lot of pressure put on fullbacks. I'd go with a back 3 here so that the wingbacks and wide CBs can team up and deal with the problems there.

Itll be the same midfield as PSG. Ole played the same Newcastle team against Chelsea. No donny again i think .

Didnt we just play a away game and won that more comfortably than the scoreline indicates? Doesn't sound so outlandish with that in mind.

On that note, we will either win, lose or draw today. You heard it here first.
Wow. Really sticking your neck out there.

Not sure people realise how hard of an opposition Leipzig are.
Yup completely agree, much more concerned about this game than PSG, I just mentioned it in the Nagelsmann thread but Leipzig are very impressive, they press you in traps which is our kryptonite, they also can change formation in the blink of an eye if something isn't working for them, they are top of the bundesliga and have only conceded 3 goals in 7 games where's we have conceded 14 goals in 8 games,

The only way we win this is a back 3, any other formation against these guys will be game over. .

Time to kick start our season. Time to put these pesky energy drink Oktoberfest hipsters in their place.

anything but a win is total failure for a club in the size and the prestige of Manchester united.

I feel like this is the hardest lineup prediction we've had in a long time.

Is that a good or bad thing?

I hear AWB and Telles didn't travel train. If that's the case:

    ------------------------------------------- De Gea ------------------------------------------

    ------------------- Tuanzebe -------- Maguire ------- Lindelof ------------------

    Williams --------------- McTominay ----------- Fred ------------------- Shaw

    --------------------------------------------- Bruno ------------------------------------------

    ---------------------------------- Rashford ------ Martial -----------------------------

    If everyone did train:

    ------------------------------------------- De Gea ------------------------------------------

    ------------------- Tuanzebe -------- Maguire ------- Shaw ---------------------

    AWB ----------------- McTominay ------------ Fred --------------------- Telles

    --------------------------------------------- Bruno ------------------------------------------

    ---------------------------------- Rashford ------ Martial -----------------------------

Are you sure about AWB and Telles not travelling? It's just that I haven't seen that anywhere.

In any case, I'd go with the following:

    De Gea

    Tuanzebe Maguire Shaw

    AWB -------------- Mctom --- VDB ---------------- Telles

    Bruno

    Rashford Martial
Rest Fred for the Arsenal game on Sunday, switching him with Mctom at some point in the second half. You could replace Rashford with Cavani too, as the former has been ever-present all season and could use a rest.

The variance in opinion is wild

Make no mistake this game will be tough and RB are a bad match up for us. We'll have to have an excellent performance to cope with their pressing and come out on top.

    Ye, wrong wording.

I saw on here and reddit that neither AWB or Telles was seen at training. Hope to be wrong though, as they'd be certain starters.

Edit: AWB has just had a baby, which is obviously the reason he missed training.

Can't imagine we'll line up with anything less than our best available XI. This is a home game in the CL against probably our nearest rivals for getting out of the group.

Win our home games and we're through. It's a big match.

    I see, cool.

Yeah, giving birth is a highly strenuous activity by all accounts so it's no surprise he'd miss a training session or two.

I'm guessing it was a C section - so he might need to take it easy on the tackles for a while, or risk tearing the stitches.

    Won - 37%
    Drew - 47%
    Lost - 16%
    Goals Scored - 28
    Goals Conceded - 24

Their away form is much better than their home form. They've not lost away in the big games yet under Nagelsmann. It won't be an easy game, will be tight with few chances.

Time to kick start our season. Time to put these pesky energy drink Oktoberfest hipsters in their place.
The Oktoberfest is primarily in Munich.
Leipzig is in the former East Germany.
I guess you studied geography at school?

40k visit the Leipzig Oktoberfest every year. If you had studied digital revolution and globalisation you would have noticed that traditions, cultures, festivals etc. aren't restricted to one particular area anymore.

Usually when I'm reading the Caf I get the impression that Ole should be sacked, the squad is wank and we should brace ourselves for the relegation. But not today when we face last years' semi-finalists and the leaders of Bundesliga. Now is the time to rotate and give our best players a rest.

Buzzing for the match tonight. Tough opponents again, another chance for us to show Europe what we're made of.

It's more specifically our biggest weakness - aggressive, high press teams with pace who are well drilled versus a relatively immobile defence and a keeper who stays in his box and isn't amazing with the ball. Very much looking forward to it, they play the way I want us to play so will be really interesting to watch and hopefully we can continue our decent CL form.

Exactly how I feel. Love their/Nagelsmann style of play.

As much as I back Ole, if/when he goes, I would love Nagelsmann at OT
