Oh, holy cow. An augmented company. Guess the Russians are really deterred now.

Mainly I have no idea why you started down the entire line that the EU couldn't defend itself from Turkey. I wouldn't put money on Turkey vs just France.
It's a complement to his conviction that Germany is "not a souvereign state", and still occupied territory. Which in turn is part of his general outlook along the German right wing narratives bingo card. A few more additions (benefits of Brexit, Covid measures paranoia, and the US left-radical bogeyman) are on this and the previous page.

Can we not just create a new thread called Libano's Turkey vs. EU War Game and move all this shit to there.

I have an election to obsessively obsess over and I need to rant and have people  at my brilliant (not really) jokes and witty rejoinders.

I don't often post on this because I'm terrible on the US politics! I've been following this thread for some updates but have 1-2 questions.

If I'm not mistaken this is won/lost on the swing states, and Michigan is now looking to go back toward Democrats by the polling information, is this correct? How about the others?

Also is there any likelihood on the traditionally red states of Georgia and Texas turning toward Biden? There was a BBC report on the TV about all the early voting in Georgia suggesting this but I appreciate Republicans normally leave it late to vote.|

All of the indicators I see from Economist, Guardian, BBC have Biden as a heavy, heavy favourite. Of course the popular vote is not the decider, but is he still heavily a favourite on the electoral votes?

Turkish Lira is a bloodbath but their military is huge. Meanwhile, Germany is de facto demilitarized without allied forces, Brexit has further weakened the EU's military power. The EU simply cannot defend itself effectively without US forces at this point in time.
You think Turkey is an actual military threat to the entire EU? As in, they will invade like the Ottomans? Surely I misunderstood? Turkey is a shambles. Erdogan has a very big mouth, but that's where it ends.

But they have more tanks and soldiers!!! Also, probably more horses and pickforks. As if Turkey was to invade France by foot through Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary... It's just ludacris. The guy is stuck in 1910.

Covid surge and it's related economic impact can't be good for Trump, surely? It all comes down to so few voters in just a handful of states and with higher than usual turnout could be unpredictable election though.

I think will be close but slim Biden victory. Won't be an easy presidential term that is for sure with covid and economic problems, not sure it matters so much who wins.

Worst case scenario is probably a 269 tie, if someone is going to lose may as well be by a landslide to help the other side deal with it.

It's hard to imagine a scenario without civil unrest. Do you think a legitimate Trump win would be acknowledged by the radicalised left, especially with polls showing the other way? It's probably a good idea to not be too emotionally invested in the outcome of this election. You either will be disappointed on Nov 4th or during the months after that when 'your guy' won't live up to his promises, as usual.
Who is the "radicalized left"?

What qualifies as a legitimate Trump win, one without any court cases and voter suppression?

I bet @Carolina Red will be gutted to hear that.

I wonder if he will change his name to Carolina Blue if his state goes Dem?

Bite! Someone, bite!

Hey I’d say it’s well past time for some radical republicans! I think they’d do pretty well if they positioned themselves properly. Party of Lincoln Stanton and Ulysses Grant!

ps. Thanks for link before

Speaking of radical Republicans, this piece is worth 10 minutes of your time: https://www.politico.com/news/2020/...-hardball-from-the-republicans-of-1861-432698
Good article, thanks. Disappointing it didn’t mention Akerman though and the aggressive way the radical republicans went after the southern democrats on the ground.

Currently debating what’s worse. This:

Or this:
In my opinion, by far the 2nd. The way governments have worked by emergency decree without oversight in many countries has the potential to be concerning.

It really is a death cult.

One officer advising 8 to 9 elderly people who are struggling. Seperate officer advising they have located an elderly party who is frozen cold unable to move with an altered mental status.

Dying to own the libs in nebraska.......only in Trump World.

Actually, this is brilliant by Trump. He makes sure they vote by mail, then he kills them, then he claims proof that vote by mail is fraudulent because dead people are voting. 7D chess!*
