May have something to do with Reading producing a mere 6.2 xG so far (24th in the division!) They are also 24th for shots taken (Coventry 23rd). Amazing that they've got 7 wins and 1 draw out of that.

StatsBomb's model is the most accurate and sophisticated. They make some of their data freely available via fbref.com. Not for the Championship unfortutately but you can find some really advanced stats for Europe's top divisions there.
