18 year old Ajax midfielder. Linked via the mirror (no clue if that's good or not). Looks a very good player. Anyone have more info about him rather than just a YouTube vid?

Whoever won the game
Why not buying him instead of Van de Beek if he is so good. Surely it is wiser to move early for top class talent.

I know these "new Messi" etc videos are done for everyone but he genuinely looks like a Pogba clone, their so similar sytlistically.

Ajax were happy to let van de Beek go for a decent price after he chose to stay on an additional year. I doubt Ajax would've let him go for any price last summer, especially knowing they'd likely get a much bigger fee after another year of development with them.

He’s one of a small number of ‘new Pogbas’ in the game. Then again, Richarly Bazoer or however you say his name B is playing for Vitesse nowadays so you can never be sure. Ajax secretly flog as many duds as they do jewels but it often goes unnoticed.

Raiola is his agent...

Big prospect but still another season or two away from a big move. Him and Kudus looked good together. Curious how he does for the next few months without him.

He’s what many consider a Pogba regen.

If we sold Pogba and wanted to find a player with a similar skill set, he’d be an ideal signing.

I’d prefer Camavinga, but either would cost a lot of money. A lot.

He does catches mine eyes. His name is on my block and i was to writing a scouting report. Has just watch 1 full match of him, the last. And his clips on youtube.

He does has the football vision and understanding. Knowing where you are having your teammates. Before you receive the ball, so it give you good time on the ball. Football orientation, the eye in the backhead.

Mature for the age of 18.

Not saying this boy for Pogba. But Matic is playing on his last year. I would free that place and option for this boy. Buy him in January and loan and let Ajax keep him for the rest of the season. Like Barca did with Frenkie De Jong.

Strong physical to beeing 18. I m seeing he is good with shield and hold the players from the ball. High football skills.

So in the end. I was scouting Antony. I didnt know this player before Ajax last match against Atalanta. He made me to watch his clips on youtube. I do got impress...his vision and football head/special the combinations football. Typical dutch and Ajax football. The few touches precise football school. Same as DVBeek. So you can easily see it.

And i read rumour Juventus and maybe it was Barca who are interest too.

So definitely a player to keep close eyes on. From mine observing. He seem more ready than Jude Bellingham. But in the future, you never know. At this moment. Good enough to keep write his name on my notebook.

Gravenberch looks like a player with quite a bit of potential. However, we need a proper 6 like Denis Zakaria first. We've been blessed with a lot of 8s at the moment.

Can’t disagree with that. Think we should monitor Zakaria closely

It's fair to say that you can have a good team and still be very functional without a Pogba type player. Let this kid be his own player and develop for Ajax. Not fair to anybody to compare him but to himself and the standards/expectations given to him by Ajax and of himself.

It'll be interesting to see how he does this season. I've watched him numerous times for Jong Orange in the past and he was always considered a talent. This season could really be a break out season for him and then the Vultures will circle.

But i'm really looking forward to seeing 17 year old Naci Unuvar who is Dutch of Turkish descent and looks a fantastic young playmaker with fantastic touch, technique and vision for his age.

We’re struggling to fit the French Pogba into our team effectively so not sure we should be signing the Dutch version.

So this guy was one of Ajax best players last night and scored a brilliant goal...

He is becoming a really impressive player at Ajax.. Dont think he is ready yet to make the step to a top club as for a central midfielder he isnt consistent enough.. There seems to be too much child (duhhh, he's 18) in him left, as in some games he can just tune out for a bit and/or have too many turnovers in places you shouldnt.. However, yesterday he played amazing for 90 minutes and was very important for us..

Last year he came through the academy and didnt immediately make an impact. I didnt really see what made him so special immediately to be honest, apart from being big and strong. But this year he is really showing signs of having it in him to become a huge player, combining technique (passing, first touch, dribbling) and power (strenght in duels), plus having a great shot in him... He looks like the real deal modern '8'. Besides that I think he's a very down to earth, calm, likeable guy..

Definitely one to watch!

Agree with everything you said but i see him more of a "6" thand an "8". he has very good defnsive ability. Looks like a natural successor to de Jong at Ajax

Apparently it's likely that Gravenberch will on the market this summer, what do we think Reds, someone we should be targetting for the midfield? Not seen him play personally so not giving my opinion, i've only heard he is good and a potential alternative to Rice/Tchouaméni etc

I have no idea how this guy is.

Prefer FDJ or Tielemans as Pogba replacement. FDJ and Tchouameni.

I wouldn't see him as an alternative to Rice at all. He'd be great in addition to him if Pogba is leaving, but he'd compete with Fred and McTominay for those 8 spots rather than the 6 you'd hope we were buying Rice for.

What Ajax player in their right mind would sign for United at the moment? We didn't burn that bridge, we blew it the hell up.

From what little footage I've seen, he strikes as a player who thrives in a well defined system. Think of Sancho, Kagawa, Miki.

The only reason we should sign him is if Ten Hag comes. If Poch is our new manager, then we should pass on him.

Why would Donny not impressing two managers have any impact to this signing?

How is his passing?

People want this Carrick type of midfielder - even if the defensive side of him is not there, can he do the passing?

We have enough prospects in the midfield at our academy, we should sign someone with a bit more experience.

If his style is similar to Pogba get him. Save us having to fork £80m on Jude.

He already has 62 appearances for Ajax, he has more experience than all our academy prospects combined.
