If trump decide to run for 2024 and he win again can he continue 2028? (Discount his age)

I wouldn't be so sure. Assuming the senate stays red and Turtle flaps continues to obstruct everything, then it'll be easy to conjure up this narrative of the Biden administration failing to get anything done. And that's not even factoring in the continued economic devastation brought about by the pandemic which I'm sure they'll be quick to hold the president culpable for. Trump might be losing, but its easy to forget that a whooping SEVENTY million people backed him despite his car crash tenure, and sadly I don't see the crazies going away anytime soon.
Sure, the crazies won't be going away. But there aren't enough of them to bring Trump back to Whitehouse in 4 years from now - especially as all the demographic trends will favour the Democrats even more than they do now.

Physically perhaps not, but if he perceives Trump to be a competitive threat, he'll simply use his media empire to twist the narrative into Trump being a desperate, washed up loser, and then we'll see the likes of Fox News ridiculing him.
By then his fans have signed up for his Trump TV.

Biden can appeal to McTurtle and get him to work together. Or you have the FBI, NY state or the Southern District drag him into more investigations than you can count -- and suck up his bandwidth both brand-wise and financially.

That's assuming Dem voters turn up again in record breaking numbers - their huge turnout is the only reason Trump's losing this election. If they however lose that momentum or fail to garner any sort of enthusiasm in 2024 (as was the case with Hillary in 2016), then they could be in trouble again.

They're not just brainwashed. They are mentally ill.
I am surprised that some brilliant Indian has not made big amount of money by being a Guru offering to get Trump elected?
Someone sold an Aladdin's lamp recently to an Indian doctor. It included even a Genie appearing too.
Could have made millions out of these Trump supporters.

Demographic isn’t destiny. Especially when you just witnessed an election where the lunatics got more votes and outperformed with minorities relative to his 2016 performance.

In the short term, I actually see Dems having huge troubles in presidential contests. All of the Midwest states are trending red. Ohio and Iowa are lost causes, WI, MI, PA under 2% either way 2 elections running. Not a great look.

Can Biden get 306? Would look like the "statement" people were expecting from Americans if that is the case.

Almost, it says elected twice. I think he could theoretically run as VP.
I remember asking my teacher that question about Clinton in 2000.. Why would anyone want to be a VP after being a President was her answer..

I never looked it up to see if it was technically possible.. So this post, if correct, genuinely helps.. I will still refuse to look it up.

On CNN, "imminent", or "minutes away", equates to several hours.

This Philadelphia "update in a few minutes" thing has been going on for about an hour now.

I think he will. It will be similar to what Trump got in 2016, and then the whole case for recounts would look even worse, as its not just one state that Biden has won by.

They already have an industry of millionaire pastors making a king's fortune out of tricking these poor brainwashed souls in being able to cure their ailments through the power of prayer.

Also I don't think the average Trump supporter will care much for a brown foreigner attempting to sell their eastern religion. They can't even seem to distinguish Sikhs from Muslims.

It's rare for a sitting President to lose an election. Trump is the exception. Biden will have a huge advantage from simply being the incumbent.

Yeah, that's a good point. I really hope it happens.

Missus just pointed out that it's amazing how much coverage we get of US elections compared to our own. Both in terms of depth of discussion but also balance.

The amendment wording stipulates that no person can be elected to the office of President more that twice, or once if they have assumed the office previously for a period of more than 2 years.

So for example if Biden wins but has to step down or dies within 2 years then Harris could only run one more time.

So someone could serve 10 years if they assume office half way through a term and run twice more.

I don’t believe, however, that there is anything stopping a former POTUS being a running mate, however unlikely it would be.

I am Christian and it is desperately sad watching this. These people have been brainwashed.
I've never been religious, but I've always found it absolutely mental that so many of these right wing hyper-capitalist nutters claim to worship the bloke who said stuff like "sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven" and "it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God".

That's before you get into the messages of inclusion and pacifism etc.

How the feck is it all apparently part of the same belief package for so, so many people when one entirely contradicts the other?

Networks are being real cowardly with their projections.

PA and GA should already be called. NV arguably too.

I am not a cook but that image makes no sense.
Pot calling kettle black is a saying used when someone attacks another for the same thing they are doing. Here is an example:

@prateik, who likely believes him/herself inclusive, was like the pot calling the kettle black when mocking another poster for believing someone was brainwashed by being Christian.
