Richarlison a huge miss for Everton by looks of it, on for 3 defeats since his red v Liverpool.

They haven't played too badly today, just Man. United's front players deciding to step up and save OGS for another few weeks.
I think we'll see this a lot this season. I'm struggling to see any water tight defense, aside from maybe Wolves.

I agree. I think premier league top end now is all about getting the ball to the front 3s with space infront as much as possible, Spurs very much the same.

Good result that keeps Ole still driving for another month and ends Everton as a threat. We can now go back to hoping Everton beat some of the front runners to ease the pressure a bit at the top.

Now that's incredibly tight

That's what he said.

How can your arm be offside? I don’t get the rules anymore? Keep making these nonsensical changes.

Everytime I watch Leeds I think Klich is a fantastic midfielder. Not sure how highly he's rated in Poland @Sarni

Was going to say a few top end teams may look at him but he is 30 now.

What a joke
They really need to change this shoulder rule. I know you can technically score with your shoulder but Bamford gained zero advantage from having his shoulder being ahead

I don't understand how that bamford goal was offside. It was the arm motioning to where he wanted that pass which he couldn't even score from. What is even the point of var?

The red lines indicate the part of his arm he can score with, therefore offside was the correct call under the rules.

Common sense has to apply. He gains no advantage from his arm being there unless he scores with it. Different matter when it’s your feet.

Why? You can score with both.

If his arms are by his side then he's going to be slower getting to the ball so there's absolutely an advantage gained.

Same would be true of his elbow in that case. Yet if it was his elbow offside it wouldn’t have been given. This isn’t what the offside rule was designed for.

Likely results later on, we'll finish the weekend 15th - just how we started
Its far too early for this! Win our game in hand and Liverpool lose v City and we are 3 points behind them.
Everybody is in a relegation race as much as a title race right now!

You can't score with your elbow so that's kinda irrelevant.

Having your upper arm ahead of the defender is both an advantage AND you can score from it.

But he’s gaining an advantage by having his arm outstretched apparently.

You can only be offside with something you can score with. An elbow? not offside. Upper arm (like this case), offside.
But it shouldn’t be. It’s not what offside is for. We just fundamentally disagree though.

Leeds getting slapped twice in a week, good times !

can’t keep playing this open, far too many quality attackers in the prem to get away with it.
