I was being incredibly harsh because I've seen some posts saying we should spend 60m on him which I think is bizzare. I think the fanbase is abit divided now on people that want us to look for cheaper alternative on Grealish and people that wouldn't mind us spending 60m on him
All views aside if you genuinely were offended I am sorry it is never my intention.

Szoboszlai could cover Bruno, Pogba, Rashford and even Sancho. So Ole could give him enough minutes. He and Greenwood could grow with enough playing time and without too much pressure. And, if everything works out, we will be loaded with talent in 1 or 2 years to complete in all competition.
Other than Graelish, Szoboszlai has a reasonable price. If he fails at United he still can be sold at 21, because he is still young. Grealish would be 27, not easy to sell someone on high wages.

The Hungarian international has now confirmed his plan to stick with Salzburg for the 2020-21 season.

“I spoke to my family and my agent and decided to stay in Salzburg,” he told the club’s official channels. “I want to play again in the Champions League with Salzburg.”

Szoboszlai racked up an impressive 12 goals and 18 assists in 40 appearances last season.

If he continues his great form in the year ahead, there is sure to be a battle for his services in the summer of 2021.

Remember the clamour over Piatek and Jovic? Whatever happened to them?

young, technical, fast and clever playmaker. 19 years old. He has already been an important player for Salzburg. And then he's already in around the national team. I wonder if he could be good for the future of United. And maybe in time he could give Bruno some competition?

Will leave Salzburg in the Winter. Leipzip is interested as usual, but also Arsenal, AC Milan, Tottenham and Athetico. Would be a shame if United ignores such a talent. He should be available for about 25 millions €, not too expansiv.
This season he already has 5 goals and 9 assists in 13 matches.

He mainly plays on the LW which is occupied by Rashford and in AM we’re stocked with Bruno, VDB and Pogba so unfortunately I doubt we’ll be looking at him..

Arsenal desperately need a player like him, so obviously he's not coming to arsenal.

Great talent!
Hasn't played a lot on the right, but the few matches he has, has been brilliant (3 matches, 3goals and 3assists) in the Austrian BL.
Can play in all the other positions in the midfield as well. If available for 25M'ish in January, that would be great business no matter how you look at it. He will cost a lot more than 25M the next time he moves.

Who knows? He's scoring in the El, but Arteta doesn't fancy him for whatever reason
I more meant is he regarded as a busted flush from a fans perspective. I have a gooner friend that is convinced he'll come good and tried to argue that Maguire was the far bigger flop. I obviously argued the contrary!

I can't even think of one Norwegian footballer which English fans or pundits pronounce correctly - so why even bother with this guy :;)

Come to think of it - Ronny Johnsen was fairly accurate

Fans want him tried out in place of Willian. He has been amongst the goals in Europa, and the feeling is that even if he's anonymous he can pull out that moment of quality that can turn the match.

Well I was thinking about the pronounciation of his name - not the player itself :)
I know he is not Norwegian - just thought it they cant pronounce names like Flo and Berg correctly - what chance do they have with that guy :)

Ah my bad I misread! But yeah, they struggle with English names so I wouldn't hold out much hope.

No he does not play on the LW, because Salzburg has no wingers, the wings are occupied by the Ulmer and Valci. Marsch plays a 4-2-2-2 or a 4-4-2 diamond, sometimes a 4-3-3. Szobo played as an left AM most of the time, but he can also play on the right or in the center.

Still, we added 70 million worth of young attacking midfielders in the summer. If we decide to spend there again anytime soon it won’t be for a talented kid from Salzburg.

You would have said the same about Haaland, Mane.... Some United fans are too arrogant. Nobody is good enough for United, they always want the best players available, not realizing they do not want to play for United anymore, because United is more than one step behind the big teams. United has to find real young talent again and sign it. Not wait and overpay for hyped players.

How can a defender who played 90% of games, had one of the best defensive records last season is considered a flop?

He needs to get his brain scanned.
