Massive game for us tonight, if Scotland beat Serbia were into the euros, our first major tournament in 22 years ! :eek: I was 6 when we were last in a tournament (98 world cup) so pretty excited/bricking it for tonight, Serbia are no mugs but as shite as we are we can sometimes find a way and have the grit to get through a game like this, i will take a 1-0 shithouse of a game if it means we win.

There's nothing wrong with Mount, provided he doesn't keep Grealish out of the team. Agree on the back 3 though.

Yeah I’d love to see Scotland at a major tourney. Back in the day they were a better bet than England for doing well on the international stage.

The only reason I'm okay with a back 3 is because of players like Saka and Trent and maybe even Lampety.

Not sure how Saka will be in a back 4 compared to a back 5 for example.

Our CB'S still seem like our weak spot with not many young players developing. I only know of Joe Gomez and maybe Ben White? Wonder if Godfrey and some of young players will make the step up and that maybe will turn it in to a back 4.

Interesting that James is selected as a wing back at first team level (when Chelsea/England play with a back three, at youth level in that formation he was always selected as RCB with either Sterling/Lamptey at wing back.

Irleland players didnt even try to sign theirs. Probably as they dont know the words.

England players did a bit better but when the words are God save the Queen repeated 10 times the words aren't that hard to remember

Empty Wembley is spooky.

Cant see anything other than an England win.

Both teams look quite cautious so far so I wouldn’t be surprised if this goes to penalties or there’s just a goal in it.

Wales/US match... US playing decent possession but nothing in the attacking third. Defending still worries me.

Also interesting to see a pair of 17-yr olds starting as wide forwards (Reyna turns 18 tomorrow I think).
