This was close but Svidersky in for Emeran, playing in midfield but with Helm in a more advanced position. Generally a strong team but maybe lacking a clinical finisher? We will see.I think Pye is not eligible as he was not with us last year. If he were eligible, so would Fernandez be and he would play.

If I remember correctly, we signed Woolston as cover when a lot of keepers were injured or on loan. I agree that it's not really necessary right now, but he has a Sadiq El Fitouri role.

A disappointment so far. His shot-stopping hasn't been up to his usual standard. Of course, it's hard being a young GK in front of a defense who is rather shite. As a loan player, it will be very hard getting his spot back.Shame that Kovar seems to have lost his place at Swindon. Didn't get great ratings so far and hasn't played the last 2 matches.

Seems to have borne the brunt of the flak from their fans for them (and their defence in particular) just not being very good. Change in manager has really gone against him as well. Shows the perils of the loan system I guess - hopefully get him back here in January if the situation persists and try and rebuild his confidence either with us or another move.

Kane is a freak player to be fair. There was never much (if any) indication as a junior that he'd even be a premier league striker, let alone one of the best number 9s in the world. I remember watching him for England U21s matches thinking he'd have a decent career in the Championship. It seems to be more prevalent with strikers/number 9s where the skills and aptitude are less inherent and can be learned more easily. Vardy being another example.Can confirm. I'm not so sure, at Millwall he had a penchant for the absolutely spectacular. Just happened very infrequently and was dotted in between some erratic decisions. It's all about honing consistency with those players. As you state, Scholes and the like react quicker and just read the game faster. Kane is now more consistent in everything from touch, passing and striking with both feet. Same with Vardy, his finishing is now far more clinical than it ever was earlier in his career. Quite a few U/15 and U/16's played I understand, but also Vitek, Jurado, Garnacho and Hansen-Aaroen.
