Hopefully we are good enough to beat West Brom without needing two limited defensive mids. I’d love to play a possession based game with our better players. I’d like to see DVB play tomorrow

Oh do shut up. The fact Ole has left him out of most of his teams would suggest he agrees. Go and read the Paul Pogba thread, pretty much everyone wants him gone at this point and rightly so. No other player switches off and strolls around the park for United. He can't be trusted anywhere near the box, as has been shown time and time again. His handball to protect his precious face and his most recent penalty are fine examples. Not to mention the number of time he tries some trick inside our half to give the ball away.
Pogba has been poor this season and Ole has rightfully left him out. However, whether people want him gone or not, the fact is, he is still our player and most likely will be for the rest of the season. Therefore, we need to be hoping he finds his form because we'll need every one of our players if we're to challenge for any major trophies this season.

Your not allowed a balanced view on Pogba here pal. I’ve tried and you just get shouted down by the armchair pundits, apparently he is and always has been a completely rubbish footballer.

I like this, but don't think everyone of that front three will play. Isn't Rashford a doubt for this one?

Ole’s not an idiot. How funny that Rashford didn’t have to be subbed in the Everton game, suddenly got an injury before England duty and coincidentally returned to training when all of the international duty lads were back too. Martial’s the one I’m concerned about as he had to train alone while playing for France, although having said that, I’d rather start Cavani anyway. Leave Martial on the bench. He hasn’t started the season well.

After taking all this and Ole’s presser into account, I’d go:

    DDG
    AWB Tuanzebe Maguire Telles
    McT Fred
    Mata Bruno Rashford
    Cavani

    Prediction: United 4-0 WBA

    De Gea
    WanB Tuanzebe Maguire Telles
    Fred Pogba

If Lindelöf is such a doubt then Ole needs to show some faith in Axel and start him. I think we need one of Mason or Rashford to start to make runs in behind, but it seems both are a doubt, so we could ge looking at Mata on the right and either Pogba or VdB on the left, unless Ole decides to try James again but given West Brom will dig in I don't think it's a game that suits him.

playing against a low block so speed merchants not required necessarily this evening.

Hope to see Cavani as his movement and guile could be important

We've struggled with defensive teams so I'd like to see our more creative players in tight areas play

I'd like to see Fred - Van De Beek, Fernandes, Pogba - Martial, Cavani, Greenwood start.

Mata could be important from the bench

    That would be so unbalanced.
We should win but treat West Brom with abit of respect.

    This is all true.
    He is a luxury player.
If you are dominating the league like we did back in say 2000, you could add Pogba and he'd be magnificent (especially under Fergie, who would get the best out of him). I'd expect some spectacular scorelines with him in the team.
Our problem is that in 2020 we aren't a team dominating the league, so we need all 10 outfield players to graft. And this lack of graft was the issue that Jose had with Pogba - Jose demands that his players graft.

The current Pogba reminds me a lot of Veron. So no, I don't think even SAF would do anything with him.

It probably is easy to forget that Pogba did have the mess of a pre season a lot of our players looked so dreadful for.
PLUS had covid. Which isn't a given to brush off despite what some people seem to think.

However he clearly still has it all to do to earn a place. Which we've been saying for years now

Pogba would be laughed out of that 2000 side and isn’t fit to lace Veron’s boots who couldn’t break in a couple of years later.

Take some initiative in this game. We don't need a defensive pivot at home to the worst team in the league.

Put VDB in the middle with Fred and play Mata. We need to play our creative players to break the low block.

Should be winning this without breaking sweat - expecting 4-0. If we fail to win, it would sum up why I think it's time for a change. No point winning in Paris and Goodison if we drop points against the likes of Bromwich

I for one am looking forward to two defensive midfielders covering the back four at home to WBA.

Also hoping to see Mata or James.

Seriously though if we don't win this, there should be riots. Enough is enough of this shite home form.

Really want to see Cavani get a start today. Think he'll thrive with such good movement and Bruno behind him. Wouldn't mind seeing Martial off the left as well if Rashford hasn't fully recovered as well.

Nice Saturday evening game where we should stroll to a win in style. Can't complain.

Taking nothing for granted after what happened in April 2018 against them just a week after that comeback at Etihad

I doubt martial playing today more then rashford. Seems martial has some back problems.

My feeling is a draw today.

It's a sackable offence to lose to this WBA side. I really hope Ole can manage to squeak through a win against the mighty Baggies.

Time to show some balls. If i see us lining up with 2 cdm at home vs West Brom...

Perfect chance to get Pogba into form, play him high up alongside Bruno for once.

    Hope to see:
    - van de Beek -
    Bruno - Pogba

    I think we will play:

    DDG
    Wan Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Telles
    McTominay Pogba
    Mata Fernandes Rashford
    Martial
I think Ole will try to get Pogba in the team again, even though I like Fred and McTominay axis. I also believe that Marcus will be fit to play.

Going for a 2-0 win. Both goals second half.
