Nice little counter and run from Elanga. Mejbri plays him in and he takes it beyond his man, running about 30 yards and slotting in nicely at the far post from close range.

Christ. Ok hes not slow but hes not blessed with pace, he doesn't register an acceleration comparable to any of our wingers on the books. Which I imagine is why he rarely plays on the wing for us any more. Hes an excellent passer, hits a brilliant dead ball, definitely think playing him as RB last season has helped him become a more well rounded player in the middle.
Pace might be more of a problem for him at RB but midfield is where i can see him operating. Impressive all round game he has though.

I'm glad the defence isn't getting protection because we need to know how good our CBs are defending in isolation. You can't play expansive attacking football and baby sit the CBs at the same time against quality opposition at this level.

Few things I noticed, I'll mention a few individuals after.

We're technically a very good team, each player is comfortable on the ball and we have our basics down very well, clearly there are some individuals who have a bit more about them than others, but as a team we played very well. We look a bit exposed when the opposition breaks the first line of pressing, as we don't seem to have a natural #6 at this level, should Svidersky keep his recovery going from his horrific injury then he could be ready to play that role next season, and Galbraith could be loaned out.

Woolston has had a good game, good starting position, and has a bit about him personality wise.

Fernandez is clearly a very good player, but his positioning and work rate left a bit to be desired today.

Fish is a very dominant defender, and reminds me a bit of Harry Maguire the way he pushes forward.

Mengi had a solid game too, maybe not as busy as his partner.

Hannibal was excellent, by far the best player on the pitch, everything seems to run through him, and their only way to stop him was to continuously hack him down, and that wont work as he grows into his body more and more.

Shoretire is only 16, that's genuinely baffling when you look at his strength, and maturity. Special player, more than holding his own against lads 3 years older than him.

Elanga, deserved his goal, and it was well needed as he's a bit of a confidence player, lightening quick.

Good to see the young lad Alvaro Fernandez who we got from Real Madrid play. Hes only 17 so hes obviously got the talent.

Lots of good performances today which was great to see. Galbraith probably too good for this level. Shoretire looks like he's settling into this team which is encouraging. Elanga is extremely fun to watch. Exciting times ahead.

That was a good game to watch. Put it on over the Leeds arsenal match and wasn’t disappointed. A really high tempo and physically demanding match for the young team, it will be good for them.

Would be such a blow if we lost a proper talent like Puigmal

Really hope something is in the works regarding his future at the club

How far can Shoretire go? Go enough for the first team in the next few years?

Hannibal almost broken in half, rides the challenge and eventually the ball comes to Pellistri who beats his man and puts in a gem of a cross for a powerful header from Shoretire. Brilliant goal.

1-0 to United
I haven't watched the match (plan on catching a replay) but this is a weekly occurrence! I think it shows positives in that, despite all the bad challenges he endures, he still never hides or shrinks, but so many of said tackles are so unnecessarily dangerous.

Yeah, every chance he could be. Less talented players than him have made an impact in the first team. He is versatile too, having played as a false nine, out wide and as an advanced midfielder at various points. Still only 16 too. Hopefully he has the right mentality.

Refreshing to see a winger who gets to the byline.
Got me thinking, since Valencia left or playing RB, we haven't got nice volleyed goal anymore. Our forwards all right footed, accept for Greenwood.

Pellistri and Diallo should change that..let's hope.

Just wait, this one was particularly dangerous.

It was good to see Shoretire getting into the box to score a very impressive header. Met it perfectly on the run. 1 goal & 1 assist.

Puigmal will have a good career in Spain or Italy if it's not at United. When we play with wing backs, we should give him try at RWB at 1st team level. We've played him at RB and RM a lot since he joined the club, despite arriving as a CM with some good hype. Whether this has made him a better all round player or wasted time not developing at his best position, is up for debate. One thing for sure is that's he's very good footballer with a high understanding of the game.

Great result and fantastic performance against a good Tottenham team.

Laird is probably back for the match against West Ham and then our starting XI will look really good for this level

Three wins in a row on and currently on the 5th place with a chance to be just 2 points away from the league leader Chelsea is a really good sign.....a win against West Ham (Last place with 2 points) on Friday would put us far away from the relegation zone too.

It has been like this for decades. I don't know why anyone isn't doing anything. Doesn't seem to be a debate about it even. Surely the top clubs should react to this?

A shame that Laird is still out because otherwise our starting XI would look really good for this level

Hannibal must really be looking forward to playing first team football. If for nothing else than to get some proper protection from referees.

Considering the promotion to the top tier and the fact that half the youth team went out on loan, its amazing how well the boys are doing. West Ham were far and away the best team in our league last year and they are now at the bottom!

One thing that is extremely impressive about this win was that on average our players were 1.5 years younger than Spurs.

Spurs generally had players born 2000 or 2001 - the youngest was Cirkin who was born in april 2002

Compare that to our side where only Woolston has turned 20, and Hannibal, Shoretire, Fish and Fernandez are yet to turn 18 (Shoretire not even 17)

People been claming he can't pass after watching a whopping 1 game against Chelsea.
People have been making a lot of claims since the Chelsea games. I notice the two biggest idiots from the Morcambe thread haven't shown up to whinge yet, probably because they have nothing to contribute but negativity.
