Losing to Comeback Winning!
Why is everyone buying Jota? When Salah is back won't he just be relegated to the bench again? Almost a similar situation to Foden.
Yeap it's a risk.

But then there are good signs Klopp is starting to trying out a slightly different system by putting Firmino at CAM with the front three of Salah, Jota and Mane. Mane at CF iirc or was it Jota? It makes sense too considering their defense injuries so their midfielders especially Fabinho drop deeper to CB, so they need Firmino's good defensive contributions... and hell, he's actually playing like a CAM anyway.

The Salah positive halt that progress. So we can't yet confirm.

Just did it, Kane out for Vardy. I know it's early but want to avoid the potential Vardy price rise. Felt sad dropping Kane, who's done great since I had him but his fixtures are fecked. Son out next.

Feels like a risk with both having european games. I am waiting for friday before any moves.
Sadly we have games friday early which is annoying.

Don't do it. Kane and Son i will never drop. Everything what Spurs do is going through them. They will do a lot against Chelsea

Which ever goalkeeper I chose, as the rational choice, Martinez or McCarthy, it's always the wrong one. Martinez against Brighton, 1 point, McCarthy against Wolves, 7 points. :houllier:
Thats why you only have one set and forget keeper. Can't get the choice wrong if it's the only option.

Well that keeper can be useless though. I think two makes most sense for highest point potential, but it cost slightly more.
The problem is just that keepers get more save points in harder games. Exception is someone like Pope who seem to pick up save points against everyone.

Still normally saves is not enough for 3 bonus points. This game for Mccarthy is really rare.

From experience how tough is it to gain 90 points on the league leader at this stage? Not having Salah game week 1 when the majority had him as captain has killed me and I can’t recover. My team value is 1.0 greater than his at the moment so hoping this keeps growing and gains me some points towards the back end of the season

I did consider not doing it but Vardy v Fulham has the potential of massacre written all over it.

Kane has: Chelsea, Arsenal, Crystal Palace and Liverpool
Vardy has: Fulham, Sheffield, Brighton and Everton

Kane will get points but he won't be hauling in those games. Once that run is over, it's an easy switch back in.

My rule is to always consider fixtures.

Kane's hauls came against a high-pressing southampton, a 10 man united and West Ham (which was pure legit). I can't see that in the upcoming fixtures.

Neither keeper was expensive for a play every week keeper so there wasn't much opportunity to save on a cheaper one.

53 points 10 men. Couldn't even get somoene off the bench.

I'm really not enjoying the season so far. I just can't get a settled team going. I missed the Harry Kane DCL train. Everytime I think ok I should take the punt now I just think well it isn't going to make the biggest difference because people that are ahead of me in my leagues will also gain those points.

I've got rid of Jiminez (terrible) and brought in Vardy who I'm going to captain on the weekend. I may also have to take a hit as well as I don't even have 3 fit defenders. Mitchell Saiss need go. Lamptey picked up that annoying red.

Tbf it was around this time last year that results started to pick up for me so not all lost. I just want to see a couple of consistent weeks.

How's everyone else getting along?

I feel though you should have better luck with Mccarthy and Martinez than I got with Ryan.
I think Ryan has one save point all season and only 2 clean sheet.
I didn't even have him for the first clean sheet.

Mccarthy is producing at the moment so keep playing him in the easier games and he might get points.
Hell even against our wasteful strikers he might pick up save points if Martial can hit goal.

A Chilwell or someone away at Liverpool or Man City maybe.
But why on earth would you leave a Liverpool basically winger out at home?!
Basically, his underlying stats have been poor, his regular stats (assists and clean sheets) have been poor and Liverpool, who’ve unbelievably conceded the 3rd most goals in the league or something, were playing top of the league Leicester with their impeccable away record. It actually seemed quite logical  Also, Taylor had CP at home, Zouma Newcastle and Coady Saints.

Never doing it again though, these Liverpool full backs can do it against anyone. Now the dilemma is weather to reinstate Salah into the team next week (he’s back) or put a City premium mid in to take advantage of their upcoming easy fixtures. Problem is, this season, KdB and Sterling have looked no better than mid-table players themselves.

Kane is already out, but I feel I can never take Son out due to his counter-attacking potential, especially in a Mourinho team. Against City, all it took for him to score was outsprint the last man and tuck it away. One chance.

With Kane, you feel from these games all he’ll get is an assist or so.

2 FTs, £2.6m ITB.

Ryan - Martin

Zouma - Konsa - Saiss - Lamptey - Mitchell

Salah - Son - Zaha - Grealish - Rodriguez

Kane - DCL - Davis

Should I be looking at Bruno? Saiss and Lamptey seem like fodder atm.

That's a good point.

I can keep Son and upgrade Rodriguez to Salah.

I will be deferring my bench boost to next gameweek as I got too many players playing against each other next week. Then I'll also be able to place McCarthy in for Nyland and have two playing goalkeepers, without taking a hit. So I'll have:

McCarthy Martinez
Chilwell Dias Bellerin Cresswell Vestergaard
Salah Son Ziyech Grealish Jota
Werner DCL Adams

+1.1m in the bank. All will have green/grey games except for Cresswell who will play United and Bellerin who plays Tottenham (so even they are a potential clean sheet/assist).

Then I may start going to a slightly less deep rotation but won't go too crazy. Dias will definitely go after they've played Fulham. Ideally I'd like Bruno in my midfield but I am not keen on getting rid of any of my current midfielders... Kane for Werner will be a natural choice once Tottenham's fixtures start getting easier. Adams is absolutely ace at least until Ings returns which probably won't be before Christmas. The deep team may also come handy during Christmas period as well... will give me some headaches with rotation but so far the last four weeks I have left 3, 0, 10, 2 points on the bench respectively so can't complain too much about my team selection. Aside from Grealish in GW4 with 24 points (!!!) and Grealish last week with an assist everyone on my bench has blanked so far.

Most likely going in with this for GW10:

Martinez
Robertson - Justin - Lewis
De Bruyne - Fernandes - Grealish - Ziyech - Jota
DCL - Kane

Lamptey is only out for one game. I'd say Saiss is defintely a priority and maybe Mitchell if you want a playing defender on the bench.

Edit: Forgot about Zaha. Is he gonna be ok for Friday?

There's better options than Hamez for that first team in my opinion.

Into the Caf top 10 after the subs - did way better than I was expecting this week as I don't have Bruno.

I captained Calvert Lewin and was expecting to plummet like a stone this week due to not having the obvious captain pick. Him outscoring Bruno saved me. Next target- top 100k and top 5 in the caf league.

You’re team is really close to where I was 2 weeks ago. Lampety feels like a good fourth option, but you’re going to need another defender for next week, otherwise you’ll only have two playing.

I used my free hit to re-jig my team due to Salah being out. I wanted to defer selling him or get away without having to sell him at all.

I ended up on 72 so a decent week but if I didn't use my free hit I would have gotten 65 as I swapped out Son to bring in Grealish - which was a good choice on paper.

Bit of a waste of my FH - it wasn't really worth bothering with at all.

Good stuff. I entered the redcafe top 30 so happy with that although I expect to plummet when Salah rips Brighton a new one

Gonna do Mitchell to Cancelo.

Martinez
Chilwell Cresswell Cancelo
Hamez Son Bruno Grealish
DCL Werner Vardy

Subs: Lamptey, Dallas, Jorginho.

Next week it will probably be Hamez out For Jota.

Thoughts?

If I wanted to go truly too heavy I could do:

McCarthy
Vestergaard Cresswell Chilwell
Salah Bruno Son Grealish Ziyech
DCL Kane

Bench of shite. May do that in 2021 once busy Christmas is over.

Do I take Bruno back out for a City midfielder or do I take Son out?
I can’t see why anyone would want Bruno out to be honest. He has the most fpl points since the restart last season (as of a month or so ago. Can’t imagine that’s changed)
