Don't use such harsh words. There will be dozens coming for your head if we miraculously turn around the 0-2 deficit in the second half.
Wouldn’t matter if we won this game 6-2. The half time result is enough to fuel the ongoing agenda for another week.

You need width in football it’s not rocket science. You get width and it frees up space. Fred is so so so so average wouldn’t look special in the championship. Matic is too old and slow and Rashford and Greenwood can’t play with their back to goal. Bruno works well with space but hasn’t got it because we have no width! This stupid formation and tactics is killing us.

Jose was a boring failure, Ole at least has us playing the odd high-scoring stormer. No single manager is ever making this club successful, Klopp could walk in to this club tomorrow and would still fail. So once I accepted this fact I stopped giving a feck. I really hate to see Ole raked over the coals by this fanbase though. Jose deserved it cause he’s a tosser.
Do we have a team way better than how we are doing? Yes.

So Ole is failing.

Plenty of managers could do better.

It's not a case of trying to win a title because with Ole it's a case of trying to even be in the top half of the table right now.

There's where you've gone wrong then. Deluding yourself with a batshit premise. Obviously there are managers out there who could make this club successful again, even with the owners and board as they are.
I think you’re the delusional one. Klopp was offered the job but turned it down. He turned it down because he could see the writing on the wall. Again, this is why it’s going to be so funny when the next guy fails as well.

I do really want Ole to be sacked though, mainly so I can laugh when the next manager fails horribly as well. I really can’t wait. Hope it’s Nagelsmann and I hope he’s a spectacular failure, it’s gonna be hilarious to watch the Caf meltdown when their next chosen one is a failure. Frankly it’s the best part of following this club, I loved it when Jose flopped and can’t wait for the next disaster. Shame about Ole though cause I quite like the bloke.
Yeah, 5th failed manager and around 10 years fighting for top 4 would be brilliant. Can't wait for it.

Wtf?

I don't disagree about Jose but Ole is quite clearly the worst manager we had in feck knows how many decades. If the only reason to stick with him is that "Ole at least has us playing the odd high-scoring stormer" then we might just hire someone like Fred the Red. Ole is not winning 80+ points in million years, he is not even capable of reaching 70.

I've been so active in the past couple days but @RedSky this 45 mins is what I mean - our performance today is actually better than WBA or Everton and even the first 45 vs Newcastle.

There were two silly set pieces that they took but we have generally worked hard, won second balls better and created very good chances that should be taken. If we drop points with performances like these then there's no complaints from me. If the second 45 is like the first by way of our application then I'd mark today as a step forward in my evaluation of Ole. I trust a process of dropping points along the way if I see it on the pitch, and we need to play more like we did in the first half.

It's a stupid error from Fred and I can't complain about the corner, it's a good fecking corner just take it on the chin and trust us to create a couple in the second half because we can.

How? It’s been an even game and we were largely on the front foot. Theyve scored from 2 set pieces and set pieces have frig all to do with what formation you play

Worrying thing for me is even if he got his wish and the club spent £200m on Sancho and Grealish, the same result would have happened in my opinion.

I don’t think he knows how to implement a system that isn’t reliant on individual brilliance, and nor do his coaches. OGS has said he’s a man management guy. Phelan isnt the tactics guy. From stuff I’ve read, his strength is motivator/man management rather than tactician. There’s a reason why our style of play steadily dropped once he took over from Queiroz in the SAF times. Carrick got parachuted into a first team coaching role after retiring. McKenna has experience at youth level but youth and senior levels are completely different.

So we have two senior coaches who are man management, an inexperienced coach who was dropped into the first team coaching setup immediately after retirement and a coach who has credentials at youth level. Who would be the tactician out of that lot? Is it really a case of “go out there and enjoy yourselves lads but try to give the ball to Bruno at every chance”
So basically, we're entirely focused on managing a squad of divas rather than sodding them off.

It really is strange. You just have to look at our opposition today and see the difference a quality coach makes to their team yet Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the world with the biggest transfer budget and some of the best players in the world, is settling for shite managers like Ole because apparently we are destined to fail.

Please let this be Oles last game for us. 4 losses in 9 games how can that be acceptable ? The fans are suffering penalties has saved us this season enough is enough. Just look at Chelsea they’ve gone up a step since last season while we’re worse than last season. I can’t take this no more, Ole out Glazers out.

I don't know, it's the same exact corner they scored last season, someone isn't doing his homework.

So it’s Ole’s fault that Greenwood missed twice, and that Bruno missed? Is Ole controlling the players like it’s FIFA, is there technology in football that I’ve missed? If the players take their chances then the game is totally different and you’re not here moaning. Or, well.. maybe you would be.
If the players had scored form all those missed chances, you would be saying Ole's tactics worked a treat.
You simply cannot have it both ways. Ole cannot get the credits when the team plays well and then become blameless when the team doesn't.
Every decision stems from the manager. The line up was awkward to begin with and the tactics made no sense.

Why have Telles on the pitch making crosses when we have no one aerially proficient to connect with those crosses?
These minute details are the thin lines between winning and losing. Southampton manager had a plan. He knows they cannot beat United pound for pound so he relied and stopping us from playing and get goals via set plays.

What is Ole's plan? Zilcho!!!

I don’t think Ole is the best, I don’t even particular rate him much. We sacked Moyes because the next manager will be the one, we sacked LVG because the next manager will be the one, we sacked Mourinho because the next manager will be the one. But this time, the next manager will definitely be the one. Definitely.

Looking at 4 losses out of 9 games, that's disgusting. Not really that arsed though, we're just entirely predictable these days. He's not going anywhere so I've made my peace with it. When he does inevitably leave I doubt I'll be able to muster up any excitement for the next manager either, I think we're in this cycle of mediocrity for the long haul.

What a spot!

Some people seem to be more fans of OgS the club legend than the club itself.

I am 100% sure that we are out of top 4 and 90% out of top 6. So Ole will be sack for sure. Ed will won't such result even he was the one who appoint him.

Tbh, I think he's doing his best. It's not a high ceiling but it's obvious he's limited to cheap shots and empty top reddism.

I enjoy your points, so please keep the discussion going.
Yeah it's best to just ignore it I suppose.

Cavani for Greenwood. Are you kidding me Ole. Feck off.

We need two or more goals and you are too afraid to take off a midfielder.

2-0 down and we bring off our best finisher instead one of our four midfielders. Hard to believe.

That is honestly shocking and really highlights someone who does not support the best interests of the club. I don't understand people who are so desperate to be correct, they stand by an opinion that looks more and more absurd in the hope of some weird moral victory.

Why are some people so married to an opinion that they'd happily see the club fall?

You know you can keep sacking the manager until you get it right. Like ALL other teams. We're not morally better than any other team for keeping managers who are woefully out of their depth. We sacked Mourinho and didn't replace him. We kept the caretaker manager because we managed to beat PSG away and it was convenient for us.

Our performance is better. But we dont have to attacking play that City under Guardiola have that can cut teams open at will.

We instead rely on either individual brilliance (from Bruno or Rashford) or a mistake from the opposition.

My criticism of Ole has always been this. We are not coached to attack as a unit like City are.

If we were actually coached as a collective unit to break down teams we would cut them open.

I don’t care about Ole or my opinion being “right”, feck that noise. It’s just the best entertainment I can get out of this club. Watching this moronic fanbase dribble over whatever flavour of the month manager there is, and then watching them fail horribly. Oh my gosh it doesn’t get any better does it. AAA+ entertainment in a can right there.

Translation: I’ve moved the goalposts to accommodate for a worse manager, because he used to play for United. If you truly didn’t give a feck, you wouldn’t be criticising those wanting Ole gone. So you’ve done the classic, “even XYZ couldn’t help us”.

Just for the record, I was also Mourinho out since about January of his second season. When even in 2nd we were so boring and predictable, coupled with his toxicity.

I've written many paragraphs on that.

I just wanted to set the record straight for certain morons because they always spam this thread at the mere sight of negativity.
Who are the morons though?

You can bring out all the stats and XG and this and that, but he has had two years in the job now and has one of the best squads in the league. This fact seems to be lost on many. He has players like Cavani, Henderson and Tuanzabe on the bench, and Martial/Pogba not even in the squad.

At this point in time, negativity is very easy to find, because we look awful most of the time and are now losing in the league every other week. This next line is very important: No one is searching for it, and everyone wants to win. Believe me, I don’t search for it, negativity is all I can see when I watch us.

Stop looking at XG and what may have happened in games and start actually watching the games. It’s disjointed, disorganized and now it’s failing to get results 50% of the time. It looks awful and no amount of stat bending and attempting to build statistics can cover for that. The proof is on the pitch and now it’s in the PL table too.

He should be improving with more time in the job and better players, he is just getting worse, in terms of performances and results too.

These results, which shouldn’t be acceptable, are becoming the norm under Ole, and it’s not right. Performances aren’t improving. It’s time to go.

Klopp turned the United job down because he could see what a shit show it was.
He turned it down because he was under contract at Dortmund. Man is on record saying he will NEVER break a contract.
Anyway, you’re utterly off your tits if you don’t think Klopp would be doing a miles better job than Ole, with less money spent.

I'm willing to bet it will take a 6 or 7 long string of bad results for him to get fired.

This is on him today. Shite tactics. Poor set up
Imagine seeing a first half where we miss two barn door chances that go in 99 out of a 100 times and manage to blame the manager for " a piss poor performance". Ok Brother.

feck me you’ve a bizarre outlook.

We sacked Moyes cause he was shite.
We sacked LVG because people were falling asleep and he was only gonna stay max 1 more year regardless.
We sacked Mourinho cause he lost his shit and the dressing room.

If we sack Ole it’ll be because he’s not been good enough, not because the next one is “definitely the one” @El Zoido. Give your head a wobble man.
