Hes at least consistent. Blows his whistle on every counter so he can catch his breath. He looked biased against us because we had more of the ball in attack. He might pass the referee fitness test but he hasnt been near the PL players hes officiating in years.

Fair play to him, foresaw the virus and started social distancing years ago.

Martial turns Dier, Moss blows up, Dier more forceful on James than Martial was on Dier gives a free kick. There needs to be some sort of parity on offensives. Yes some will make mistakes but that Dier on James foul was as easy as breathing to see what happened.
Also happened right in front of the assistant ref. The state of refs is appalling in the PL.

The fat f*cker is even worse as a VAR than he is on the field! It took him three and a half minutes to decide to disallow what would have been West Ham's first goal tonight. It explains why he gets so many decisions wrong when he is in the middle, with only a split second to decide.

He's got to be the biggest "can't keep up with play, so has a guess from a mile away" merchant.

Edit: Based in Leeds (has a vintage record shop in Headingley would you believe) and loves giving soft penalties all the time.

The penalty is on par with all the soft freekicks he loves to whistle for all game.

I want to say he needs to retire but that should've happened 5 years ago.

Pretty sure he was already huffing and puffing when we won a throw in after 3 minutes.

It's a Michael Oliver level shocker. It's nothing like a penalty. Not ever.

Bruno turned and seemed to stud the defender's shin. But im comfy with a pen.
Its Bruno magic. Forced a penalty which is what happened. By the law of football the defender left his leg out even after Bruno swerved away from the defender.

Awful decision by him for the penalty. I thought it should have been a Villa free kick.

He is the fattest man to referee a game since, was it Alan Wiley that Fergie gave both barrels and a grenade for good measure for being a fat cnut who couldn't get out of the centre circle?

Firstly, how can your job essentially boil down to:
1. Knowing a rulebook.
2. Seeing things.
3. Running.
And yet you have 3 months of lockdown and don't go for a single run?

Secondly, how can you, as an inevitable consequence of your job, run around for 90 minutes twice a week and yet several weeks in after the restart still be unable to waddle past the 10mph mark, and also be unable to run for longer than 6 seconds without slowing to a crawl?

An embarrassment to the league.

Soft fouls all game, soft penalty, and waves play on when there is a legitimate penalty when Rashford got brought down inside the box. VAR helps him by, confirming his decisions. Then they come out stating the penalty, just one of many incidents was wrong. 2-3 layers of refs to get it right and so called experts and they can't give an honest word.

Guy is on like 2/300k a year and can't even get in shape. It's ridiculous.

Lots of small fouls, especially before the penalty, which made it a frustrating watch. Then the penalty, which I honestly don't get why wasn't retracted with VAR.
The first thing my dad said when we turned on the TV was "that guy looks a bit heavy".

It wasn't a penalty imo and jeez they showed the replay like 12 times, also there was a situation like maybe 10 minutes into the game when the ball hit Mings hand and it should have been a penalty. Moss missed it, the VAR missed it and only one replay, serves the cnuts right IMO. Moss evened it up with that stupid call.

He seemed to be giving Villa everything, but then balanced it out by giving us a penalty for free.

He might look out of shape, but he still has to pass all the same tests the rest do, and he'll have done so to be out on that pitch.

Well then the tests clearly aren't right. He's not even fit by the standards of the general public, never mind someone whose job is to be fit.

If I remember rightly they only test them at the beginning and end of the season so he may well have gone through the entire lockdown without a fitness test.

I see why the penalty was given by him as I shouted for one when I saw it. But when you watch the replay, slowed down etc, VAR should have over-turned it.
I dont get why he booked Fred though.

Also thought we should have had a penalty for the Pogba one near the end.

No way was that a penalty but from the initial view, I can see why it was given. The fact that VAR have looked at it and decided that it was a penalty is what needs to be criticised here.

I'd love to see the fitness tests Jon Moss passes to be a top tier Ref. Cos he definitely fails the eye test every game you watch. Surely they have to cut him loose after this season?

Tbf the defender stuck his leg in the path of Fernandes which made him kick into him. Not much difference than if he just stuck a leg out as he was running passed that made him trip.

The yellow on Fred though?! that was baffling.

The unpunished ‘tactical’ fouling is something that really annoys me in general, but Moss seems worse than most at letting them get away with it time and time again, ward prowse must’ve committed about 8 fouls today and 3 or 4 after he was booked

Yep, the tactical fouling is something that is obvious but rarely punished.

One of the things I really hate when any team does it, even our own. Makes the games more boring to watch. It becomes more obvious when I am watching as a neutral spectator, and the constant fouls just kill the game and slows it to a crawl.
