He's a Soton lad. Why, why, din't get it, what it is all about?
Is there a vomit enjoy?Lucky Ole
Yep, I remember that one, cannot remember who he did it too? I think that one was more of an obvious red?He got away with a similar thugish tackle last year. It was intentional and sound have been awarded with a red card. But Moss found it hilarious.
Rashford was terrible apart from the cross for Cavani. He was at fault for the first goal. The others played fairly well. The two CBs and Fred was outstanding along with Cavani. There are so many serial losers in this team. But Fernandes, Cavani and Rashford are not. You could see who was along for the ride after we clawed the game back to 2-1.
It was tongue in cheek for the Ole out brigade!! Who were moaning at halftime
Is there a vomit enjoy?
It was Greenwood. Utterly disgusting "challenge"Yep, I remember that one, cannot remember who he did it too? I think that one was more of an obvious red?
Sorry didn't know this was a forum for Managerial geniuses only. Have you ever managed a football club?Ole certainly doesn't have to take advice from folks like you who know very little.
Gross overreactionThere are so many serial losers in this team. But Fernandes, Cavani and Rashford are not. You could see who was along for the ride after we clawed the game back to 2-1.
Go on, give us the wealth of experience you have in club management. As if this precludes having an opinionSorry didn't know this was a forum for Managerial geniuses only. Have you ever managed a football club?
Thanks mateIt was Greenwood. Utterly disgusting "challenge"
Which other midfielder should he have started?Ole rarely gets the formation and lineup both right.
Today he got the formation right but should've started Cavani and another midfielder instead of two CDMs.
He finished with the right formation and players on the pitch and that's why we won. Greenwood against giant centrebacks was not the right choice. That was made clear as day when Cavani comes on and with his heading ability scores two goals.
Ole has to now start VdB and Cavani in most formations and lineups.
Or he can continue leaving them out and pay for it.
De Gea won't be dropped. He's done nothing bad to deserve it. He'll get back his place once he's fit.Henderson, VdB and Cavani should now be automatic first choices.
We have questioned De Gea, Pogba and Martial for far too long.
We've questioned whether De Geas focus is what it needs to be. We've questioned whether Pogba is a team player and responsible enough to play as a CM. We've questioned whether Martial actually "wants" it enough.
They have been 3 of my favourite players for the past 5 years but now they have to make way for hungry players. Henderson, VdB and Cavani will show them what is required. It's a no risk policy. Either De Gea, Pogba and Martial respond and play like the world class players they could be or we write them off and sell them at the end of the season.
How big are your bollocks Ole?
I saw no reason why DvB couldn't have started in the same position he did 3 days ago in a very good champions league performance with Fred.Which other midfielder should he have started?
Me too. I have a free day tomorrow so I think I'm going to watch the game againHours have passed, yet I'm still buzzing with the manner of our win.
Yes, two games determines the character and attitude of this playing group's resume from the last 6 years. Great point, well made.Gross overreaction
If there were serial losers we wouldn’t have got back into this and the Everton game. Our CBs played well and really didn’t have a huge amount. to do. Conceding 2 goals against the run of play seem to elicit some seriously stupid posts. Can understand if this was during the match but you’ve had time to post a measured assessment to the game and this is the best you can come up with.
He has done plenty to suggest that this isn't a one off happening from him. If Henderson gets couple of games and manages to keep it solid he will surely get a chance.De Gea won't be dropped. He's done nothing bad to deserve it. He'll get back his place once he's fit.
if We dropped points I was well primed to be on here posting just that. But kudos to Ole he went with a different set up and by luck or judgement it worked. I look at West Ham and no doubt they’ll have their best performance of the season against us and win, but should we get 3 points...in the space of 3 weeks..we look completely different points wise if nothing else.I saw no reason why DvB couldn't have started in the same position he did 3 days ago in a very good champions league performance with Fred.
He’s been below par for 2 years. I’m sure if he is fit midweek he will start but it’s a matter of time now.De Gea won't be dropped. He's done nothing bad to deserve it. He'll get back his place once he's fit.
Probably because he didnt offer much protection to the back four and we conceded a lot of chancesI saw no reason why DvB couldn't have started in the same position he did 3 days ago in a very good champions league performance with Fred.
That's not what you said though. You mentioned starting another midfielder instead.I saw no reason why DvB couldn't have started in the same position he did 3 days ago in a very good champions league performance with Fred.
I seem to recall that when SAF was manager we had plenty matches where we won when perhaps we shouldnt have. Why cant we simply praise the teams attitude, spirit and guts in winning from being 2 nil down?Yes, two games determines the character and attitude of this playing group's resume from the last 6 years. Great point, well made.
What's not a one off? Not pulling off two miraculous saves to stop two great free kicks? He has done plenty to suggest that this isn't a one off happening from him. If Henderson gets couple of games and manages to keep it solid he will surely get a chance.
I did, that W belongs to Bruno, Rashford and Cavani for never giving in and trying right until the death. Great 3 points for the team.I seem to recall that when SAF was manager we had plenty matches where we won when perhaps we shouldnt have. Why cant we simply praise the teams attitude, spirit and guts in winning from being 2 nil down?
This and the freekick Vs Istanbul were both ok but they were both savable. Even if DDG might still be better on the line Henderson for me has the better all around game. Nothing against DDG and he has been a good servant I think his time as an undisputed number one might be over. What's not a one off? Not pulling off two miraculous saves to stop two great free kicks?
Even though he covers Manchester United, he's a Southampton supporter. From his Twitter bio:Why, why, din't get it, what it is all about?
