Expecting City to up the ante in the second half, just a matter of whether we respond in kind or go to pieces.
I think they are stronger in the first half but us? Under Ole this season, we are unstoppable in the second half.

43rd minute there is a control and turn from Pogba that is out of this world.

like he just put on some baby seal skin boots and just took that ball that ball in like it was the latest Tik Tok dance. He’s been pretty good. Shaw as well plus the corners he has put in have been decent. It’s a shame Rashford wasn't Available for the first half. Hopefully he’ll make it in time for the 2nd half.

Rashford isn't that good to be lazy and strolling around the pitch like Messi.

Does Rashford know that the game has started? Looks completely off the pace from everyone around him.
Walker chased him down early without even getting out of second gear and it hasn't look interested since. As if he doesn't think he'll be able to run in behind with him there.

Id swap him to our right and let him go up against cancelo and diaz

Maguire scored from one against Newcastle this season. I think we have the worst record in the league though yes.
Its been bad at Utd for like 10 years. Despite the fact that the Champions invariably score the most set piece goals. It’s a very important part of the game!

That half turn was unreal, he’s a brilliant footballer, kinda annoying now he’s defo leaving

Good half from us. City extremley negative with their 2 DMs and over recycling of the ball. This isnt poor as Gary says, Its by design. Pep is shit scared of counters
We are as negative as them with Fred and McTominay.

Bith managers seem to have set their teams for a boring draw.

Hope the second half is better from a neutral point of view, this has 0-0 written all over it at the moment. But both defences have been solid.

Fair half from us. Feels like the game is there to be won. It felt important for us to turn up and look fairly solid for a first half for once.

Pogba’s looked good. Bruno’s passing has denied us a few good attacks. Rashford has been unusually very quiet.

    1-0 written all over this.

What's happened to Rashford though? He's so invisible on the pitch at the moment.

Say what you want about us, City are absolutely sh*t scarred of us ripping them apart on the counter. That move and the right, via Scott and AWB shows why. I'm not worried.

Not a bad a first half, we definitely look more comfortable and assured playing this formation. Generate more corners and I can see us scoring from a set piece.

pretty dull first half , very cagey but at least we haven't conceded any silly early goals. Our final ball has let us down. A little more care needed (or luck) city look poor defending our corners.

Good half from us. Citeh looking decidedly ordinary. They'll surely up ut in the second half - lose one DM for an attacking midfielder. Challenge for us is to at the very least keep up our level.

Feels odd to be not 1 or 2-0 down at half time in a match.

0-0 about right from this match, possession fairly even, both with 1 shot on target. If there is a winner in this game it will likely come from which team has the best impact off the bench.

Ok. general question....why do we struggle playing out of the back? Do you think we try to play it out too much?

For me, even in this game, out interplay in attack and on the flanks is really good and has generally been good this season, but we take so long to move the ball to those positions.

Don’t expect city to come out and be that poor in the second half, pep will light a fire under there ass and make some strong changes.

Happy we look like a well coached team today with no stupid mistakes killing us so far.

Wouldn’t mind Martial coming on for McTom with 30mins left.

If it carries on like this it may come down to a set piece. They're capable of great deliveries while our corners have also been very good today. If one thing needs to be said it's to attack the fecking balls in, no hesitation.

Pep lost against us 3 times lasts season, so he had to change something.

That Mahrez chance could be costly. Without being great, they could have been 1-0 up.

We're playing without any central players up top, asking Bruno and Pogba to run into that space, despite having two players who could play in that role.

Seems we're playing not to lose rather than to win.
    Again.

    Then again, so are they.

Decent first half. Pogba our best player. Will be a real shame to lose a player of his quality.

Ok first half. I think there's only one thing we've been doing wrong and that's beating pressing always in the same way. It's not effective. Should try using Pogba as target man also.

You didn’t watch last week? Or any other game he’s played this season. He’s been utter garbage.
its rather funny to see how insanely obsessed you are with having a go at Martial every chance you get, while Rashford and greenwood are either getting a free pass or is used as another excuse to have a go at Martial.

if martial was out there in the first half performing like Rashford and greenwood, you’d have gone mental.
