Don't agree with that at all. You can say Kepa cost Chelsea a few goals, but on that same logic De Gea cost us quite a few goals as well.

Chelsea are too inconsistent at the moment and don't seem to have any attacking edge to them despite having a talent squad. Top 4 is realistic for them at the moment, not saying we'll challenge for the title but I still think we'll end up above Chelsea.
Kepa had literally the worst season ever recorded by a goalkeeper in the PL. De Gea was more or less bang average - there's a big difference between the two in terms of the extent to which they were liabilities.

Also, Kepa cost us far more than a few goals - last season we had a lower xGA than Liverpool but conceded 17 more goals, thanks to Kepa being historically bad. His save percentage was like 54% - that is comical.

Looks like the “he's shit...I've always known so" fans are having a field day. Once he gets out of the rut and is back firing them in the “he's great...I always knew he was" group will have their time to shine as well. It always cracks me up.
Werner was unlucky to not score in this game imo. One was a very good save from Fabianski (which ofcourse he got no credit for) and the other hit the crossbar. He's always pushing though and players like that don't stay in a rut for too long. His general gameplay was great though but that's not really been a quality associated with Werner's game so I'm not going to beat him with it. He's a goalscorer and clearly he's struggling at that at the moment.

Havertz needs to hit the gym room, then get played centrally and he could figure it out. He's got a lot of ability.
I was actually one of the guys that wanted him at United was blown away when I first saw him in a Germany team. He could be one that takes time to adapt to the league then explodes.

De Gea, far from his best, still recorded a net plus for United last season.

When people talk about teams being inconsistent they almost always refer to results. I just do not think results (and the order in which they occur) tell us a lot (certainly in the short run). I mean before their two defeats Chelsea were on a long unbeaten run, scoring for fun, hardly conceding. Then a couple of bad results happen and it's 'inconsistent'. Would you say the same if the order of those results were different with performances unchanged? Professional bettors and analysts will look at performance data and ignore results to a large extent. It is mainly the media which thrives off hyperbole and knee-jerk that drives this nonsense. Jamie Vardy was asked about consistency as well yesterday, particularly with regards to the discrepancy of their results home vs away. Again trying to read something into where there is nothing other than that Leicester have got better results away from home over a very small sample. It is not statistically relevant. Also, what exactly are they suggesting? That Leicester should be winning all their games?

Werner has never been good. He has great pace and good workrate, but is below average in all other areas (finishing, technique, football IQ etc.).

I and many others, who have actually watched him play for Leipzig (entire system built around him) have said this all along.

Havertz on the other hand has a lot of talent. He's just being played out of position and lacks confidence at the moment.
