How are Spurs fans feeling about Mourinho at the moment? Today he showed absolutely zero ambition to get another goal to try and kill the game off and it cost them. These were exactly the sort of games that convinced me he couldn't take us forward when he was here. I'd be livid at tonights approach if I was a Spurs fan.

I didnt watch the game, but let me guess, after the early goal Spurs did nothing for the rest of the game, and in the end, got punished for being defensive?

He did the same thing with his Chelsea team the last time they won the league. First half of the season they were beating everyone and then for no reason he switched things around and they ended up grinding out the rest of the season when there was no need for them to.
Yep, I do remember that. They had one bad defensive performance than he went ott defensive. Kinda did similar with us when we went to Anfield and drew 0-0 a few years back.

A few years ago he was our manager.

I was miserable.

And I was a virgin desperately pining after my best friend. I thought I never had a chance.

Well here we are three years later. I’ve still never had sex, my life has got worse but at least he’s fecked off.

Watching this Spur side is a good reminder just how mind numbingly boring we were under Jose.
For all our current faults, we are still an absolute joy to watch compared to this shite.

This game managment strategy of playing for 1-goal-wins has to go.

No excuses, no but's, no if's, no xG stats.

Just no.

Either that goes or Jose will.
Every team knows exactly how to play against Mou now and he's done nothing to change it up since Palace when it was obvious something needed to be tweaked.

He's getting good performances against teams that have the style and players to dictate the tempo (Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Woolwich(lol)) but has no plan on how to dictate the tempo against the other 15ish teams in the league.

I know Levy loves Mou but he's also been impatient in the past with letting things that clearly aren't working linger.
I've been sparing of my criticism of Jose but this was Palace 2.0.

You can't make the same fecking mistakes against these teams that we need to be beating and it's down to him being negative with substitutions and tactics.
Wolves would have folded if we had scored a second, instead we invited pressure. Got a point more than we deserved.
That was shit. We have arguably our strongest ever squad at least for a couple of decades where our strength is in attack and we try and hold on to leads.

I accepted Mourinho on the basis that he would be successful even if the football was boring but he really has to do better.
Champions league finalists 18 months ago to this shite!!!!

What a sham. And our own fans asked for it!
Outdated manager, totally clueless. Making the same mistakes every game and doesn't learn with them. Favouring players that couldn't play for Stoke City, wrong tactics (always the same), refusing to take responsability for the results. We are at the same level we were at Poch's downfall now
If this was the football we were going to play, we should have got Sean Dyche instead, heck of a lot cheaper.
and someone seemingly trying to stick up for him but didn't work:

Would you guys have taken 9 points from:

City (H)
Chelsea (A)
Woolwich (H)
Palace (A)
Liverpool (A)
Leicester (H)
Wolves (A)

If given beforehand?
We invested too much into the manager to expect less.
No because the Wolves, Palace and Woolwich games should all have been wins so that is 9 points right there.

Getting 0 from City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Leicester would have been awful.

I think 12 points was the minimum and even that would have been pretty mediocre at best.

They did have games v Burnley and West Brom when they only won 1-0 late on in both and wasn't like they had that many shots at goal before that (3 shots on target at Burnley). Seems the mad 3-3 v West Ham scarred him as they kept flooding forward when a goal up v Man. United and Southampton when a goal up and scored 11 goals in those two games and even Newcastle at home they should've scored 5 or 6 when 1 up.

Consistently defending a one goal lead for 50+ minutes just doesn’t work in today’s football. He may fluke a League Cup this season and then claim how great he is, but you are not winning anything serious with that approach.

He is too good for Spurs, even with Mourinho's method of making them hard to beat they have already managed to bottle their league title chances by turning Harry Kane into a freaking defender. He isn't one, which is why he makes the mistakes he does. Spurs should sell him and bring another defender in if they want to succeed under Mourinho.

Think it was the 3-6 against Spurs that made him change approach, much the same ways LvG balls was cut off after we lost 3-5 at Leicester after going 3-1 up.

For all the stick that I give Ole I would have probably finished watching football with Jose in charge. Glad he’s at Spurs wasting Kane/Son peak years.

I don’t understand what they’re doing. Up until the Palace game they were completely fine. It wasn’t attack attack attack but it was measured, wing backs were joining in, they were scoring goals, committing people forward. 60 mins into the Palace game it’s like a switch was turned on and they must now always be super defensive and attack only a few times in a game. Mental and not at all sustainable for getting results.
Same thing happened at United about a third/half of the way through his second season. And not for any obvious reason; it’s not like we were getting annihilated playing attacking football. Likewise in his league-winning season after his return to Chelsea.

Shocking form, even more shocking approach from Jose after going 1 goal ahead in 2nd minute. At this point he should've known better.

If I had a chance to ask Jose one question, it would be if he enjoys football.
Jose the pundit clearly does.

Jose the manager though? I was prepared to cut him a bit of slack at United because he seems to be quite a domestic creature and appeared to hate living away from his nice London home. He’s now every bit as sour at Spurs, so maybe it’s just time for him to take a full time TV gig.

Bizarre interview from Jose. Didn't want to talk about anything as though he couldn't trust himself to speak.

Also thought Spurs controlled the game.

Just threw the whole team under the bus"if they couldn't do better it is because they couldn't to do better".

I don't think he's doing himself any favour with that comment, he just looks more detached from reality and soon the fans will turn on him.

Last month; Flying high, the toast of the media, cocky José is back.

Now; 6 points from their last 6 games. Shat the bed.

Mmmm, I kind of feel that saying disabled people are being punished for misdeeds in another life put Hoddle significantly above Mourinho as a crap person. Hurting a footballers feelings isn’t quite as bad for me.

They honestly could've been taken straight from the Cafe.
Very enjoyable reading another set of fans having to deal with it.

What's wrong with Harry?
Bit of a halfwit but a pretty harmless sort of bloke.

Well I was talking about Hoddle in this post. But, I’ve never understood the love for Harry Redknapp. He was always a whiny, entitled twat who left financial chaos behind him at Portsmouth. That and his dogs bank account.

It’s actually incredible that he could look at this squad of talented players and think the best way to go for it is sit back and try and nick one on the counter. This is a talented set of players who without a shadow of a doubt could dominate games and break down the opposition with a more attacking manager - the thing that Jose does so brilliantly is convince people that he’s getting the best out of squads by playing in this manner (he isn’t).

There is a frightening familiarity with those posts.

Feel for them
At least he seems to have had a good deal less success at recruiting members to the Cult of Jose than he did when he was here.

The number of posters on The Fighting Cock defending him and ridiculing his critics as “not proper fans” is vanishingly small. Though their posts could easily have been copied from the Caf’s Jose thread from late 2018...

Right now he looks more like "everybody's wrong, only I am right" kind of person.
