The key for us is getting another attacker with a high level of quality. Rashford is too much of an x factor and it would be best to rely less on him, but anticipate quality moments and movements from him. Diallo coming in might add that extra spice to the attack. Fernandes needs a bit of creative support with the players around the final third, if we had that, we would have one of the best attacks in europe.

What would we do without him. Have never seen a single player have an impact like he has had.
Get leaders, or emerging leaders in your team and great things happen. In business, as a manager, in football. It doesn’t matter.

maguire - leader
Bruno - leader
cavani - leader

ole is doing great

buy grealish next

Couldn’t agree more, once Pogba goes he’d be ideal and performances like yesterday’s will take a lot of pressure off Bruno.

You can’t help but admire Bruno, his unhappiness at coming off typifies his attitude, then he’s off the bench to celebrate with Bailey but there were moments in the game I thought he looked fecked, needs some time out.

Would we be in a title race without him? (Not saying we’re a one-man team but let’s be honest)
We wouldn't.

Can't even tell how many points we won thanks to his assists or goals. Even if you don't consider his stats, his mentality / leadership alone forced the team to play a few levels above.

He didn't even play a full year with our shirt and it's already hard to imagine this team without him playing.

Like I said before, I think it's reasonable to think that without him we would most likely be mid table fighting for a top 6 spot instead of being in the title race.

Sometimes it only takes 1 player to take a team to the next level and he is that player.

15 goals scored this season already. He also could score two more goals and could have a couple of assists as well, were the finishing better

He's a phenomenon. He feels like our Van Dijk, just that missing piece of the puzzle that brings the whole thing together. We have excellent players all over the pitch but they weren't showing it consistently until Bruno walked in. Absolute winner and one of the best signings ever made if we nick the league this year.

We must be really careful we dont overload him, an injury to Bruno and our season is done.

I'd say feck the cups let him rest so we can continue with our league form.

I'd imagine City will rest players in the EFL Cup - opportunity for us to remain competitive whilst starting VDB or Pogba in Bruno's place. If we lose, we lose.

The media will want to start a "war of words" with him and Mourinho after his comments today.

I hope Bruno doesn't bite, just focus on football.

Last time Mourinho started a war of words with our Portuguese star player we ended up beating him to the league title.
These so called mind games of his don’t work anyway anymore. He has lost his spark, on and off the field. Plus VAR is mostly deciding now if you get a penalty, not comments of some bitter manager.

was yesterday his best penalty hes taken for us in terms of, I don't think any keeper would have saved that? I mean Martinez dived the right way, was fully stretched and covered a lot of area but wasn't anywhere near it

Its overlooked but the fact he's a warranty on penalties is great, in yesterdays game I was 100% sure he would score. Besides the obvious talent he's got the right mentality and the leadership. Seriously he's the whole package.

I know Maguire wears the armband but its obvious that Bruno is the captain.

Surely he has to be the greatest ever captain who was not officially a captain?

I feel like the captaincy issue is a tough one for Ole to change. Everyone within the club and outside fans can see that Bruno is our most influential leader.

But the problem is we signed Maguire 6 months before Bruno. When Maguire came in, he was an obvious captain choice because we were seriously short of leaders in the team. But when Bruno arrived, it would have been difficult for Ole to strip Maguire of the captaincy and give it Bruno. It could end up rocking the boat. If they had both signed at the same time, I’ve no doubt Bruno would have been made captain straight away.

I think at some point it’s inevitable he’ll become captain one day.

He's only played at home twice in front of a crowd at Old Trafford. How crazy is that?

He's turned into a United hero in the space of a year yet the crowd have hardly had a chance to show their appreciation.

Crazy thing is he hasn't actually been playing that well, once he hits form he will be even better.

It's such a shame. Reckon he's the sort of player to reach another level when we have our fans chanting his name all game.

Yep, you just know he'd love the crowd backing him and would really play up to it.

I can't wait to hear the crowd chanting "bruno, bruno, bruno!" and him taking a bow after scoring

He almost has as many goals in EPL this season as he had in Serie A over 4 years.

Another level? I don't think that'd be possible, he's already been world class in 2020

If Cavani is done with United, let Bruno take no.7, and in that season, bring back the collars.

EDIT:
Imagine how many shirts are sold.

His favourite shirt is the 8. Let him have that off Mata and make the number legendary himself - shirt sales won't be a problem.

Hes just so productive. Even when he looks like he couldn't pass to a barn door he can always pop up with an assist or goal. Not shy of putting in a shift either. Great player.

Bigger than VVD. Allison came in at the same time and is arguably as important to them.

It's probably not a bad idea to give someone like Maguire the armband, to give them them confidence to speak up when in a room with the likes of Bruno.

Maguire is a calm head in that dressing room, perfect to accompany Bruno who, with or without an armband, is going to speak up and be heard.

I just love the bloke. A disciplined family man who plays his heart out and is ridiculously good to go with it.

He is continuing Scholes’ no.18 and building his own legacy here. Why bother any other shirt number?
