Rubbish. We beat Palace 7-0 and everyone was saying we would run away with it a couple of weeks back. Knee jerking has been extreme this season. First Everton were winning it, then Leicester, then Spurs, then we were running away with it, now United are winning it. Everyone has had dips this season.
You also got spanked 7-2

Any peak elite team would be 10-12 points clear, yet come the end of January you could be below both United and City

Didn't Ferguson play Carrick and Fletcher at CB rather than expose younger players when they aren't ready? I understand his thinking today and to be fair, he's played Phillips and Williams plenty this season both in Europe and the Premier League.

Everyone is elated because we haven't won in three games. That's how ridiculous we've been over the last two seasons. This kind of dip was inevitable, even natural. I said before the season started that we wouldn't get over 90 point. No one can do that for three years in a row.
A three game winless streak against WBA, Newcastle and So'ton with 6 shots on target is a little bit more than a "dip".

Klopp is a brilliant manager, no doubt. But the team looks shot physically. You had a ridiculous calendar and ridiculous work rate for a while. Very little rotation as well. I think it's caught up this Christmas.

I am sure after a break (i.e. next few weeks) you will be back stronger. Good timing as the team looks devoid of ideas and energy.

I'm not talking about Mane. I'm talking about game in general. Liverpool should have had penalty when (Bendarek?) got hit with the ball on the arm/hand.
It must be worrying for Liverpool if they're now relying on refereeing decisions to earn them points, unlike last season when they were steamrolling teams before half time.

Carrick and Fletcher played CB because we literally had nobody there to play that position, whilst your CBs have played plenty of games before tonight.

It’s not even the same situation.

Suggestion of new title for this thread from Klopps post-match interview (i’ll share the load now that there’s so much gold to find):

Southampton never surprises us, but still we were surprised

I feel Liverpool have been very lucky this season to get as many points as they have. Although VAR is not with them anymore. Last season it was extreme.

UK, hun?
Is he always so condescending responding to questions by laughing with incredulity or is that reserved for when results don't go his way?

The rule was confirmed recently that refs were to not give pens when the hand is in a natural position, which it was. If the hand was above his head or horizontally sideways away from his body, you’d have had a shout. You see appeals like that turned down every week in the PL, why should this one be given?

Its not a handball when it hits the defender when he is falling to the ground.
Youre welcome, Jurgen

You must be concerned with that lack of goal threat since the Palace game.

Not only are you not scoring goals, but you're also barely creating chances, which is infinitely worse. You can blame is all on VVD being injured, you did perfectly fine without him when you battered Palace 7-0.

I would give anything for a Bruno winner from the most controversial penalty which is given after the final whistle against them.

No he played them there when we literally had no one else for the role. Philips has played this season in the PL as has Williams. Literally no reason why they couldn't feature tonight from what I can see. United regularly bring in Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams when required. I just don't see the logic in doing what klopp did tonight in the slightest. I'm surprised you do.

It seems Carragher agrees with me anyway.

For all his coaching skills I have to say I'm somewhat surprised he can't get more from Minamino, Keita, Shaqiri and Origi.

That's 4 players who should be easing the pressure on the likes of Mane and Salah to produce output literally every single game. But they've barely contributed meaningful performances this season, if any at all.

He could of said Leicester, United or City have had more penalties then Liverpool...funny he choose United.

Someone is rattled and that unbeaten home record is looking under threat next weekend.

You love to see it!
