Bailly, Fred and Pogba have to start. I'll be gutted/fuming if I see them on the bench.

Put your life savings on Liverpool scoring 7 or more goals this afternoon and get 1000/1 return. It's a steal.

He’s been much better in recent weeks but I still don’t trust Pogba for this game.

Can't handle the build up to a big game. Why can't we be the early kick off.

Worth noting that everyone in the press is expecting Liverpool to win comfortably...

Good. I think being the underdogs suits us at the moment.

Don’t mind that to be honest. Even when we were at our best in years gone by, I was always wary of how things could go when the media hyped and predicted a United win in a big match.

The press predicting a Liverpool win is fine with me. Up to us to prove them wrong.

I was more amazed that not one article I've seen mentions we might have a chance, considering our away record, Liverpool having injuries, being the most consistent team in the league etc.

But then again, that would involve someone actually doing their job properly and giving Solskjaer credit so it won't happen any time soon.

    feck me.

They are favourites but nothing is nailed on this league. Get a grip.
I think this is just another one of those "If I say we'll lose, we'll definitely win" posts. I don't think anyone is completely ruling us out today, if you're a United fan that is.

    It's finally here.

It's either going to be 0-0, or a Liverpool win, or a United win. Or a score draw.

In all seriousness, I'd shake hands and take a draw, but because that's not an option, I really hope we make a statement here.

This is where im at. I just watched a preview show saying Utd cant get better, Liverpool and City can so we wont be champions.
Its as if pundits are sleep walking through this season and are living in this alternate reality.

I suppose there’s still this feeling that, right or wrong, we’ve been just about scraping by the results that got us in this position, and that it’s all very volatile and can come crashing down anytime. A win today would probably go some way in countering that train of thought.

Amazing to think even with our incredible away record, it feels like we are still big outsiders today. The LFC media fanboys are backing their mob!

Huge game today more psychologically than physically in terms of points. Even if we lose, we’re still well in the race. But if we can get a positive result, it will hurt them and show that we are here to stay and not just a flash in the pan (which is what most of their fans and the media think right now).

Genuinely feels like the first time in a very long time that we are part of an important BIG super Sunday match!

A real mix of excitement, nerve and intrigue for the game today.

We win today, they're at risk of dropping out the top 4, we stay top with a real shot of confidence!

After the pain of the past 7 years, I do hope the football gods pay us back with a win today (even though in reality, we are owed nothing after Fergie's era )

    Incredibly the odds are:

    Liverpool 2
    United 3.95
    Draw 3.95

Huge value in laying Liverpool on the Betfair Exchange.
Seems about right to me, but pretty much the opposite of predictions here.

It’s not that amazing. They’re the reigning Champions and although they’ve not been up to the same level this season they’ll still go top with a win.

What’s more they’re 3 months away from going 4 years unbeaten at Anfield in the league.

It’s the best chance we’ve had in a long long time but let’s not belittle the challenge of actually getting a win this afternoon.

That's an outrageous record, to be fair. Must be hard for opposing players not to be intimidated by that stat.

I’m not. The point is we have a fair chance too. But from a lot of the build up, you would think we were Newcastle going to Anfield. Make no mistake, we can go there and get a result today. It’s still the hardest place in the country to get a win but it’s there if we do our job and actually take our chances when they come. Hope the players are feeling positive.

Depends where he plays. Play him on the left of a from 3 so we can accommodate 2 cdm’s then I think he’ll be quiet. Play him in CM 3 besides Fred or McTomminay and I think he’ll be our best player.

So once again, a lot of Caf contingent doesn’t believe in our victory and prepare for the loss. Why is it so? What causes such a low level of belief in the team?

Man Utd is in a better form and has less injury problems - it’s an excellent time to play Liverpool, and we certainly can win

the team hasn't earnt the trust yet, a win or even a draw at Liverpool will go a long way towards that though

Buzzing for this game now, let's go for it, hopefully Bruno and Ole have them fired up and determined.
Liverpool will start fast and look to get a goal early I'm sure, so try keep the ball in the first 10/15 mins and look to move them around as much as possible.
    Pogba will start.
