Liverpool dominated the league last year by winning by 1 goal margins. That was how majority of their wins went
They won 18 games by more than one goal and "only" 14 games by one goal.

Here's that daily undertone. This place never disappoints.
I think you need to know your audience before you reply with a comment like this, check my post history and see if I've ever made that comment after a game before

Bailly is a decent option, but isn't good enough to be our first choice CB. This game proved that again.

Cavani, Shaw and Pogba good. Fred put in a shift, Maguire solid.

I'm looking forward to Martial, Rashford and Greenwood hitting the same form as the did last year. We'd be one hell of a tough team to play.

Scraped it but a wins a win.

Pogba, Cavani and Shaw superb.

Martial is lacking confidence, but worse seems to have lost the hunger he had last season.

Awful game, great result.

I must say that Pogba is looking better and better recently - another terrific performance from him. He seems to have turned it on since it looked like he was out the door.

My MOTM was Cavani though. He's a bit of a monster, isn't he?

Not a great day for the defence though. We never really looked comfortable. Shaw had a bit of a nightmare and they had too much joy down their right.

Fulham have been giving plenty of it to all the top teams lately. A good old fashioned ugly win on the road. What the hell were our CBs doing on their goal? Great strike from Pogba and a nice bit of Diego Costa type aggression from Cavani.

Beautifle win. We know how hard it is to win there looking att other teams. O thought we were excellent for 85 minutes and should have won by more. Most important is the win.

Pogba is getting better and better and it feels that he has a deal with Solskjaer to give his best here this year and we will let him go. Little bit like Ferguson and Ronaldo.

Shaw is monster.

Not a very good performance, but critical win. We were extremely lucky that deflection off Bailly went a millimetre wide, though

Good result, but once again very slow first 20 mins, then picked up and dominated the majority of the game. Again, we go in front, go close a couple of times, then slow the game down, start playing the ball backwards, and finish up under pressure last 10 minutes or so.
There are no easy games in the Prem, so I'm really pleased with the result, but performance was very patchy.

Greenwood and Martial need to pick up where they left off last season. No idea what is going on with these two and with Rashford to some extent.

Wan Bissaka was pi** poor at times but also had a few good moments towards the end.

Bailly almost had a Bailly Moment. Not once, but twice. One with the short back pass to De Gea and another with Mitrovic's header.

Pogba was brilliant and Cavani's work rate at his age should put our youngsters to shame. Tracking back to defend and then making the run towards their goalie to rush him. Class.

Fred again worked his a** off for the team. I'm sure he's one of the first names in Ole's starting XI.

Shaw kept his great form going. Most of our chances came from his runs. If only Martial didn't switch off at times, we could've created more chances from the left.

Bruno should be rested against Sheffield United. Give Donny Van de Beek some minutes.

MOTM: Pogba

P.S. Need to finish off games better or provide fans with Health Insurance, 'cos those last 10 minutes could've killed people!

Awful game, we got 3 points that is all but ,when are we going to start with hard crossballs in front of goal for Cavani to nick in.
I have missed it for years.(hard crosses) I belive Rashford is god for that task.

If United is going to win the league they have to show who is the boss in games like today. They nearly messed it up in the end.

The random parameters we set ourselves to worry about is fecking ridiculous at the minute.
We never stop moaning which is ridiculous in our position and its setting us up for the mother of all meltdowns if we dont win the league

Those last 10 minutes felt like we were defending a 2-1 first leg home win to prime Barca for 90 minutes in a CL SF second leg at the Nou Camp

Against well organized draw specialists like Fulham, you need a bit of top quality from the players. Bruno provided that for the equalizer and Pogba for the exquisite winner. Another great game from Pogba, his attitude at tracking back even after an error has been what we've wanted from him all along. Keep it going.

We keep doing it the hard way. But if the objective of a football match is to get the heart racing, this team will do that. These are the games of fine margins, Areola kept the game from being comfortable, Bailly's deflection could've made it a draw.

The flaws in this team are clear to see, but so are the improvements from last season. We might still not win the actual thing, but I'm glad we're leading the title charge. Just keep this up till May and it'll be our best post-SAF season.

Relentless fixture list leads to results like we've had the last week or so.

Glad we're up for the grind and getting these results. Could've have had a few more had it not been for Areola and the post.

Pogba on form and looks like hes loving it. Good timing as well since Fernandes has ever so slightly dropped a half level or so. (Not a dig at him as he is still extremely influential but, not everything is clicking for him right now).

Cottage felt smaller than ever?! There was no space to work with and the pitch didn`t seem to be in mint condition either so it was always going to be a scrappy affair. That was a bit too tense for my liking but awesome to see us ride out the storm at the end.

What is going on with Martial? Completely off the boil this season. Looks halfarsed again. Wouldn`t mind selling if we got some decent money.
Pogba is back to his best and his quality is much needed. Maguire had a slow start to the season but has grown in to it and is now very solid.

Fulham are not easy to play. They just do not let up one bit. It's a good result from us. Huge effort for the 3 points.

Half decent win against an improving but still very limited team. Performance wise, not amazing, but again we found a way. We still don’t look ourselves going forward, but our midfield and defensive play (sloppy goal aside) is much more assertive and controlled than in the first part of the season. For a while we’d be at sixes and sevens for 75 minutes and then pull an amazing spell of attacking play to get the points. Now we’re managing games a bit better throughout, even if the attacking play isn’t quite as good.

The form of Martial and now Greenwood are concerns, we really need something more from them. Martial in particular was pure frustration tonight. But Cavani showed his fighting spirit with a level of commitment beyond almost anyone else, and Bruno looked good again going forward, so it’s not all bad news on that front. Bailly looked good, if a bit nervy at the end.

In truth, a forgettable game. But we got the three points and theres a few positives to be had.

But we invite pressure, so you can’t complain.
We can if a goal like that goes in. If teams start pumping it long you have to drop deep or you lose out in the numbers...right? We would be fecked with the second balls. Anyway, it didnt go in, we are top of the league and are on a ridiculous run of form.

Again saved by individual brilliance, not a good game at all.
If it keeps happening it is a tactic. Pep and Klopp play the percentages and drill their teams. Ole gives his best players freedom to express themselves whilst having a (relatively) solid defensive structure. I don't know whether it can win anything but it sure is working so far.

Almost got a heart attack. Would like to see us finish off a game comfortable for once but this is what you get when your entire attacking lineup is underperforming bar a 33 year old backup.

Great to win the game BUT we need to make subs earlier. This waiting till minute 90 to make a single sub because the committee of coaches we have takes their time discussing on the sidelines is not good enough.

I thought we played quite well, a few world class saves by their goalie denied us a more comfortable win.

Martial needs a goal, he's a great player but has to get his mind right.

In any other season post Fergie, we would’ve drawn or even lost. I was emotionally preparing myself for a late equaliser so to leave with 3 points is so satisfying.

We need to see games out better though.

All that matters is the three points. Shaw, Pogba and Cavani the standouts.

We need our forwards to start scoring.

Top of the league after 19 games, long undefeated run. 19 games to go!

I think the best way to prevent a meltdown when we don't win the league is to point out how exceedingly unlikely we are to win the league, for a number of reasons. One of those being that we basically never have confident wins; all of them are nail-biting, heart-stopping affairs.

We have 40 points at the halfway stage. Mirror that in the second half of the season and we'll finish with 80, a very very good total after our recent struggles. We should be pleased with that even if it's only enough for third. We should forget about winning the league, it's not happening.

Tough game and deserved the win. Had to do it the hard way.
The players look like they are all in it together which is great sign that morale in the camp is good.
How much has Fred come on again his stamina was immense again tonight.
He was crucified by some ex pros and ex club men saying he's not up to being a man utd player.
To all is doubters and critics he now deserves an apology and some praise.
Great result after a hard run of games at a tough time of the year for the players.
