It was like cheating bringing him on the 65 min. Must have been devastating for them.

Maybe we'll start giving him more rest from now on. Was key in winning the game but I thought we did well without him on the pitch. Certainly didn't shit ourselves as I expected without Bruno

Does he have a chant yet? Can't wait to see him play in front of fans again, where he can receive the adulation he really deserves. His stats are unbelievable - at this point it seems really hard to bet against him winning the POTY awards.

Looked sharp when he came on and that freekick was a beauty, should have had an assist as well with that inch perfect cross for Cavani.

He has. To the tune of "follow, follow, follow..." and the words are mint imo. :)

I think against Bournemouth last year he scored a really good free kick, but this one was even better

The tackle Bruno put in at the death, to stop letting Liverpool get the ball downfield for one final attack, is what makes the difference for us. I'm not trying to have a go at Van de Beek but you see the difference between them, not just on the ball but off it too.

Bruno's hassling, his work rate makes such a difference. It lets us defend from the front and makes it harder for opponents to build up from the back. When you add that to his attacking contribution you have the total #10. What a free kick and f-k me had Cavani converted his cross today (and against Fulham) he'd have more assists. Unbelievable player.

Staggered at how good this guy turned out to be. How much would he be worth on the market now? We paid what £50m for him?

That cross to Cavani was a thing of beauty. I would have soiled myself if that went in. Great planning by Ole. Bruno gets the rest and gets the confidence boost. Roll on Sheffield

Anyone see his interview where he laughs at Fred staying behind to take FKs with them 'just for fun'

I thought Ole’s comment about Bruno being pissed off and extra motivated was interesting and probably instructive as to how he should manage him moving forward. The slackness in his play is likely exacerbated by him being run into the ground, so more games like today where he’s benched will probably be quite valuable. If he comes on fired up then all the better.

Not only does he have some insane skills and creates all sorts of opportunities but his work rate and harassing of opponents is infectious and that’s what for me makes him stand out from the crowd. Very rare for a player to do the ugly side as well as the beautiful stuff. Top class player.

Words can't describe how good he is and not only is he brilliant but his attitude is incredible. His drive to win and passion and work rate remind me so much of Rooney. The guy would die for this team and he has that Keano quality of demanding the best from every player on the team. An absolute revelation and I'm amazed that there was no real competition for his signature.

We’re so lucky to have got him. The rare blend of great ability and attitude. I don’t think anyone could have predicted how good he would be, coming from the Portuguese league. Quite possibly the best player in the Premier League right now and, therefore one of the best in the World. Whoever identified him as a top target needs a pat on the back.

The thing I love about Bruno is his attitude.
It's something we've missed with so many of our players / signings.

Over the last few years, you look at Liverpool and the teams attitude, work rate and commitment to the team was unquestionable.

Whereas you look at some of our players, and it was the complete opposite. Turn up when the want. Faces of thunder etc.

Bruno is such a class act, but has all the talent as well, which just makes him a world class player.

Brilliant banter in his post match interview. Talked about practicing free kicks after training with Mata (and that also Rashford and Telles stay longer often). Then said that also Fred stays with them often, "but i think he only stays to have some fun with friends". I guess Fred will not get the chance to shoot too many free kicks in next time.

Just a ridiculous player. We came back into the game when he came on. His ability to receive the ball on the turn and see that pass is class. But most of all, i love his effort off the ball, astonishing. Then he comes up with that freekick and that cross to cavani.

What a player we have on our hands
