1G+1A, excellent contribution. Should have made a pass to VDB in the beginning, though

So happy for him, a goal and an assist should ease the pressure. He feck it up with poor decisions in the beginning but made up for it.

Lets hope he can capitalize in performances like these and return to the superb level he showed at the end of last season.

Good game today and hopefully that'll kickstart his season. He's young and has had some personal issues, but he has the quality to be a cracking player for us. Inconsistency is to be expected in such a young player, and he did set his own bar ridiculously high last season.

Excellent performance and looked dangerous throughout. As we won anyway, I’m looking at the positive of his choice not to pass to van de Beek early on. And that is that he had the confidence to go for goal himself.

Hopefully see more like this. If we are hoping to challenge for 3 trophies we need as many players stepping up as possible.

When he came out the tunnel today was really overcome with wanting him to score & when he did the Mrs wasn’t happy; celebrated like a 90th minute winner.

I really want the best for this lad, he could be transformative in the run in if he can get back to/exceed his form late last season.

Looked very lively today and took his goal brilliantly. Good to see hope he kicks on from here!

So who is having the knee scan tomorrow? Him or Rashford or both?

Goal and an assist, delighted for Mason. He needed that as you can see from the social media post. Lets him that puts the wind in his sails and sets him off on a run. When this kid's head is in the right place he's a world beater. His ceiling is so high.

Goal and assist vs Liverpool, can’t ask for more. It does give me extra pleasure to see him and Rashford do it in this particular match:keano:

If we’re gunning for a title race run in, we need more players to hit form when the going gets tough. Definitely need Greenwood to be one of those players. Class finish today, typically epitomises him.

100% agree that he needs to be more centrally. He’s a finisher. Plus, his two footed ability comes through there as well. That pass to Rashford was great. His vision is under-rated.

Nah. He literally cannot head a ball, ducks out of so many aerial challenges that we cannot play him at striker yet. His strength and hold up also leaves a lot to be desired. He is definately playing in the right position for atleast the next couple of years
I think the question is whether we're better off platooning Cavani as a traditional 9 with Mason as a 9 who moves wide in different games/situations and having the say 40M Martial fee and 250 a week off in wages to spend on a proper right-winger, or Martial competing with Cavani and Greenwood out right competing with Diallo.

Really needs to forget all this and keep his head down and just focus on his football.

He’s got too much talent to let it go to waste, needs to understand that being a footballer, unfortunately you have to deal with a lot of criticism and nobody cares that you’re 19.

Would be great if he can hit form and start scoring regularly as he’s our only real threat off the right.

Yip completely agree, do it at the end of the season (if at all) when you’ve won the league and contributed heavily

Very well taken goal. If he can start scoring, it would add so much to our forward line. Great talent, excellent touch and finish.

It’s just banter. On a different platform:

A goal like that and an assist like that to knock the scousers off their perch? Forlan became a household teddy bear for less. :)

Will be great for his confidence. I hope for his sake he can learn to forget the hype and opinions off everyone else the sooner the better.

Hopefully he'll have strong mentality to keep improving. The young man is so talented, and good looking too.

ALso, I don't think there are haters of him among United fans. We hate his off field problems, though.

Invisible for most of the game, but a goal and an assist.

Hopefully steps back into last season's form.
Invisible? Apart from a few shots, 2 chances created and getting their CB booked.

You lot are mental, it was a really promising performance.

Thank you, I didn’t even bother. He looked to fight his way into our last game, yesterday he looked sharp. Hopefully Rashford makes it to our next game so he can start with Greenwood and Cavani!

Fingers crossed, Rashford was excellent, back to his early season form.

Imagine if that goal yesterday get's him back to his best of what we saw from him last season, we will definitely be on a roll in the league if that happens

He had excellent game as he scored and played superb pass to Rashford, he can do lot better if he starts picking the passes instead of going for goal all the time. Makes him lot more dangerous as defenders now more or less knows what he will try. If he start to mix up the game by picking the passes, playing cut backs he will be very dangerous and very hard to stop.

He is still very young, so plenty of time to improve.
