Nobody seems to be pointing the finger at Bruno on here. He has been the worst of the lot. Giving the ball back to Sheffield United constantly. It's very hard to beat anyone, even if they are bottom of the table when your players constantly give the ball to the other team. His side kick Rashford is no better. Dont get me started on Martial.

Our casual approach to keeping the ball drives me absaloutely fecking cuckoo.

This isn't about subbing x on for y - we should be able to keep possession in advanced areas against SHU playing a back 5. Ironically it's riskier being too defensive against these kinds of teams because the gulf in quality is so big, it's better to be front foot and playing passes in advanced areas given their threat is so minimal.
Yeah but we have blown that luxury by going a goal down.

It should have been 0:0 or 1:1. Ref can feck off. Who is behind VAR? Klopp?

You can't win the title if you make every single match a slog.

We're halfway through the season and we've had one comfortable win all season.
Yeah. This is the biggest reason why I cannot actually see us winning the league. There will be a number of games that don’t break our way, whereas City – and most other top sides even – put a whole number of games beyond doubt, so even slight misfortune cannot cost you.

Martial is not an out and out striker. Just does not have the instinct, that RVP or Aguero have/had.

how did VAR not see the foul on DDG? any doubts as to whether it was a foul or not: dickhead Walton says not, so it obviously was! more of a cnut than most ordinary pundits

We haven't won a match by 2 goals for 9 games!

Why is every game such a stress with United!

Wilder tactics in defence are clear...

Let AWB have the space, just mark everyone else... as they just don’t have to worry about the delivery...

Also... why is Ole persisting with starts for Martial?... he has been awful all season.

Not watching the game but has martial actually been bad or we just arent creating anything?
We aren't creating. It's been sideways and back passes. This is a match thread and people love talking absolute nonsenses.

For some reasons we've failed to involved our forwards in the game. Martial hasn't been wanked like you keep reading from these over emotional knee jerkers.

Greenwood is the Invisible Man outside the box. He literally does not exist, both as a human and as a player. He exerts next to no influence in general play, until he gets into the box. We absolutely cannot rely upon a prodigiously talented striker on the right where he's largely ineffective.

Worst part is DDG didn't even bother complaining. What the actual feck?

Feared this type of slow uninterested performance. We'll never win the league with this type of attitude to the smaller teams.
True. We'll probably end the game with 80% of the ball but with less (or maybe if we're lucky the same amount) shots on target than Sheffield.

I thought we'd hammer them, so I guess I should take full responsibility for this satanic torture of a football game... :annoyed:

Sheffield United are playing stuck in the mud back there, they just won’t come out. Martial scores a valid goal, how the Fuk was that foul and then De Geas isn’t !!!, De Geas was worse.

I really think we need to bring Luke Shaw on, telles seems as though he’ll get caught defensively and doesn’t offer much going forward.

Stick Greenwood up top, Martial left, Rashford right and bring on Shaw.

If city were playing SU, they would three nil up already.

Instead we have to do it that hard way, that is if we do it.

Telles is a huge downgrade. Shaw should come in at the restart. Tuanzebe is just not good enough and is on a yellow and looks like a red card walking. He shouldn't come out either. On with Lindelöf. If Martial carries on with the way he's doing on with Cavani on 60min. It's in Ole's hands to make those necessary changes and then we'll win the game.

It's pretty simple: we need more ideas.

Cavani can give us something different in the box.

We are pretty good at turning things around, so i have Faith.

He’s bad most games but moments of magic change the narrative

What I don’t get is why VAR doesn’t intervene with the Martial goal. It’s a clear and obvious error from the referee
The referee caused himself a massive problem by blowing his whistle too early.

We’ve have no decisions since the other managers ganged up and made a big deal about us supposedly getting soft decisions

Not even a heat of the moment thing, this Martial performance is the worst I’ve ever seen from a United striker. Losing every challenge, misplacing every pass, completely abandoning the press and straight up not moving into space. Worst thing is though, this is just the lowest point of what has been a shocker of a season for Martial. I said it after the PSG game; he has to be sold. Whether he scores here or not (he won’t, just to clarify), I won’t change my mind.

Aside from him, Matic, AWB and DDG have been garbage. Need Cavani.

The team seems scared stiff to play expansive football. The more pressure there is, the more tense we get.

Martial is playing like shit. Telles is non-existent. Matic looks a 50 year old. Unbelievable really

AWB has been vastly superior to Telles from an offensive point of view. At least he's trying stuff, showing some urgency. That's really a half of football that would take you back to a couple of seasons ago. The whole midfield look way off.
