Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
I don't know what the hell Ole was doing here. No problem with the starting line-up, it obviously wasn't our strongest but it's about what I was expecting and should have been good enough to get the result.

The substitutions were disgraceful though. It was incredibly obvious that two of Cavani, Fred and Shaw should have come on at halftime or very early second half, and then if that didn't change all three of them should have been on by the 65th minute. We had no urgency, no drive, no build-up...the stuff all three of them improve so so much. Making only one substitution before the 83rd minute was ridiculous.

To produce a performance like that after getting ourselves into the position we were in is infuriating and baffling. I thought these players might have recognised the opportunity that presented itself to them but obviously not, because they looked half arsed and lacking motivation and focus.

Can't believe this second goal. My God what were we doing.

Absolutely shambolic goal to concede. Hell, their players weren't even trying in this goal and we let them keep shooting in the same fecking spot.

We're so dumb it's unbelievable. Negative footballing IQ.

Our defence continues to perform like clowns. Can’t defend corners, fold under any pressure.
And Rashford and Martial don’t look capable of creating anything, or beating anyone

This has to come, we had quite a luck in many games. Wan Bissaka much more lively and supportive. Much better than Telles. Martial looks without life and on this confidence doesnt provide any danger. And second goal counter attack of sheffield started with his cheaply lost ball. Pogba quite bossed in midfield, very consistent and good decision making. We didnt play as bad as results say. Our problem is our frontline in last couple of matches. Not clinical, nor creative.

Why Martial started the game/stayed the 90 is a bloody mystery. And why no subs until the 65th and 80th minute? De Gea to blame for both conceded goals.

We took the win for granted and got a slap in the face we richly deserved.

You can't underestimate anyone in this league. So much for that unbeaten run.

No-one to blame but ourselves. Sheffield United didn't do much.
Agree. Played like our shit don’t stink after the Liverpool win and failed to get close to the desire shown by Sheffield United even after going behind.

Disgraceful performance from pretty much everyone.

One thing I don't understand is why the commentators described this result as "shock of the season"?

It was coming. Our form dropped a while ago.
Worst team in Prem history after 19 games. And we lose to them.

Martial and Rashford will get a lot of flack for their performances in this game, Martial more so. Unfortunately, they completely deserve the criticism. Abysmal game. As close to a 0/10 as you'll find. Never looked like winning the game, not even close.

Disaster, I don't know what we did for the first 75 minutes, passed around with no movement or pace. Ole took forever to make a change, 60 mins from Cavani and 80 mins for anyone else. Keeping Martial on was a poor decision, he offers nothing these days and too sulky. Bruno passing is a worry at the moment. Defending was pathetic as always, Maguire is not a leader and cannot lead that line. Missed our chance as City are breaking away and in very good form. Gutted with this result but top 4 is still the aim, we are not ready for a title challenge with this squad. Need a new RB, RW, holding midfielder and striker.

Absolutely unacceptable garbage on display. Their second goal was taken from a comical sunday league compilation.

Rashford must start only vs bigger teams, Martial must be sold. Pay up for Sancho.

Going behind was going to cost us eventually...just happened to the worst team in Premier League history after 19 games  :(

Tonight's performance was one that I thought we had grown out of, we looked shocking tonight.

Awful performance. Too many players bottling it. Some just garbage. Management very poor. If the team isn’t performing be ruthless & make changes straight away. Soo many lessons to be learnt.

Have seen performances like this since the early Fergie days - rock-bottom teams coming to OT and their players put in the “game-of-their-lives” so that despite never lifting a pot they can sit in a pub in 20 years time and brag about putting United away at home.

Atrocious. Absolutely atrocious. No attacking system at all.

In fairness i think its being coming. We have been getting out of jail, winning games by one nil or 2-1.

If this were city, they would have been three nil up by half time.

We are a counter attacking team. We dont know how to break down teams that sit back and just rely on good luck by individual players.

Lads dont get your hopes up. We aint winning anything this year.

Martial cannot play up front again. No movement and workrate at all.

Also does anyone have the gif of Rashford just giving up chasing his man on 55 minutes for McGoldricks chance. Terrible mentality.

Tuanzebe had a mare as well.

Even if we had won 2-1 i would have been worried. City and Bayern are good all the time. They dont just decide when to play and when not to play. We can turn it on and then dont bother other times.

De Gea piss poor, what was he doing passing it in the box instead of booting? Ultimate coward, shame that there is no proper competition.
Do you see Henderson doing that ? I don’t
Game in our hands at that point but he gifted them the goal
Tuanzebe not Utd standard. Back to the championship

Shocking display from front to back.

That 'clearance' from DDG for their second was embarrassing, as cowardly as it gets.

Well well well. At least that shuts up the "title challengers" talk.
Good that I missed the game completely.

No passion, unlike Sheffield. Clueless when we face a stubborn team that defend with ten men. Ran out of energy and ideas. Let’s hope Sheffield perform like that against the Bitters. If Ole says ‘That’s football’ he is lying. That was pathetic.

Criminal refereeing, but Sheffield outworked us for the deserved victory. But let us not forget the first hand officiating.

No idea why he didn't just launch that into the stand.

That was absolutely shocking, 90+ mins of complete and utter fecking shite.
No passion, no creativity from the manager or the players, Sheffield United came to not lose and score on the counter and we let them do that, we had nothing to counter the Sheffield bus, well and truly parked.
We were run ragged by a 38 year old Phil Jagielka, a Sheffield team who could not even fill the subs bench.
Said it before we were top playing shite football and tonight we have been caught out.
Sheffield fully deserved that win, they wanted it more than we did.
Players need dropping and I would start with DDG , Rashford Martial, Matic and Pogba don't work, Greenwood only one of our attackers who looked lively.

Thank god I didn't get caught up with all the title talk. Laughed when Matic joined the backline of defence against a team who only notched 1 win before this!

Let us get back to securing a Top 4 finish. Baby steps and all...

One of our worst results in years against one of the worst PL sides in history.

Two flukey goals from them and they spent the rest of the game running around all fat and sweaty just getting in the way of slow football. Jagielka is 38 and has a beer belly for fecks sake.

Cringing losing against a team so bad.
