Andrei Kanchelskis made me fall in love with Unite
Mata and Donny to come in. Martial and Rashford drop out. Let’s have some technical players on the pitch instead of players running into blind alleys in every single attack

    Front six of:

    Fred

    Donny Pogba

    Mata Cavani Bruno
Mata? Really? Don't get that one. MCT and Fred will definitely start in this one, imo. Bruno, Pogba, Rashford and Cavani will be the front 4.

Him and Atkinson are the refs I dread the most, bugger.

Anyway, Fred and McT as the anchor, Martial relegated to the bench, Cavani up top with Pogba maybe wide left. Please win this, otherwise our season looks like it'll nosedive from a title challenge to battling for top 4.

I would be ruthless by leaving Tony at home to really make a statement that such a lack of workrate and effort won't be accepted

We will lose as usual to Arsenal. We rely entirely on the players. Nothing the manager can do to help us win, he himself need help.

Martial can’t play. I’ve supported the club since 2008 and no starting striker from Rooney and Berbatov to Lukaku has ever had a season as bad as Martial’s. Also, since Bailly is out (Ole would have started him or Lindelof last night otherwise), Lindelof will have to come back in. Axel is not up to it imo and his head cannot be in the right place after the rancid events that happened to him today. About the latter bit, I feel so sorry for the lad but in terms of his involvement in the first team squad, it is what it is.

    DDG
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    McT Fred
    Pogba Bruno Rashford
    Cavani

Arsenal 0-0 United. They’ll play the awful football they’ve employed since Arteta came in we’ll be overly conservative in desperation to avoid defeat like against City.

I am not confident about this game at all. We have a bunch of bluffers, cowards, passengers etc, and not enough leaders who will want to make a statement on Saturday after the worst loss at home since the Moyes era. Arsenal have been playing well lately and I see them winning comfortably 2 nil.

I like our team, we’re doing well, usually play some good stuff, and prospects are decent if we keep adding to the squad.

Think we will get beat in this one though.

That home defeat to Arsenal was maybe the most annoying of all. They were delighted. Arteta pumped his fists like they’d just won a Champions League semi or something. I wished them some bad after that.

Would be a sweet thing to smash ‘em but I don’t feel lucky at all.

same here. Out of the squad all together.

I see this one going badly lads. Draw at best. It could be a messy loss given they’ve found form and conviction just as we start to lose ours. Hopefully it’s just another blip

I’d love for this... would love to see Amad come on for Greenwood at the 70-80 mark

    Hendo
    AWB - Bailly - Maguire - Shaw
    Fred - mcTom
    Greenwood Bruno VDB
    Cavani

Sadly Lindelof and De Gea will start. I also Pogba and Rashford are a lock over VDB and Greenwood. Martial should not even make the match day squad.

I love this fixture. makes me feel like I'm 10 again and we're going to see Keane going after Veira in the tunnel.

    I'd go for:
    Henderson
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    Fred McTominey
    Pogba Fernandes Rashford
    Cavani

But, I'm sure DDG will play, which is OGS sending the message that serial bottlers are welcome in the team. Martial must be dropped from the squad and left at home.

    Please smash them.
Reckon they'll sneak a jammy win or a draw.
Hopefully I'm wrong and Arteta attacks and we counter incisively

Good to hear another singing from the same hymn sheet regarding Tony

Obvious to mere fans like me and you but to Ole he won't just take him but wouldn't be in the least bit surprised he starts too
Ole has been praised recently for his man management of Pogba, so I can only hope he knows what he’s doing with Martial. I honestly think it’s no use continually picking a player who’s so low on confidence.

Looks a good team that. Only slight issue is McT and Fred together usually means we’re in for some fairly ragged spells and possession will be a bit lower with that pairing. I quite like Pogba starting from the right. He seems to enjoy it.

We haven’t won against arsenal in the last 4 games. Surely this game is when the bubble burst and we will finally beat them, suit time to bounce back from the Sheffield United result. We rested 5 players from the Sheffield United for this match, that‘s why the win is important, come on!

Not confident in this system, we were so poor when we played the diamond against them in the home fixture.

Yeah too bloody right he should but Ole won't do that because he will know that Tony won't take it well and just go into his shell even more

Team (Not in order of position on pitch)

    DDG

AWB Bailly (Lindelöf if not Bailly) Maguire Shaw

    McTominday Fred Pogba Bruno
    Rashford Cavani

Sheffield was the litmus test for what Ole can get away with if he fields a "weaker" team. It failed miserably, The horrifying part is that it wasnt even a weak team.

Fred is beyond important for this team, we are night and day without him. He's nearly as important as Bruno is.

I'm not convinced this is true. We started a "weaker" team against Liverpool, too: no Bruno, no Fred, no De Gea (yeah yeah but Henderson doesn't exactly fill me with confidence either).

It's not like we have a reliable starting XI that always delivers; it's more like that we can look absolutely dreadful regardless of who's on the pitch at any given time.

I’m looking forward to it. After the defeat, this will prove where our title challenge truly lies. Win, and it’s a great show of mentality and will springboard our next few (tough) games. Lose and we know that we still aren’t ready and just had a good run do form like we have done previously under Ole.
