He has to play because he’s better than Martial and we only really have one other option but he’s not playing well enough. Until either of them start playing well, Solskjaer should probably alternate between Martial and Rashford.

Honestly don't understand any people on here rating Rashford. Useless with the ball game in game out.

He has become poor man's Cristiano Ronaldo unfortunately. For his and United sake, he has to simplify his game.
Said it before, but he still better on the right for me. His game is so much more selfish and predictable from the left. Even if it's theoretically better for him individually because he can cut onto his stronger foot, it's worse for the team unless he becomes Robben overnight. Needs to stop with the fake shots when he's literally right in front of goal also.

Is it fair to say that most of this season Rashford has been 90% ineffective in a game, with his attempts to run past 5 people, 17 stepovers and inaccurate backheels, and 10% when he suddenly switches on and has a moment of brilliance where that one cross lands onto greenwood, or the perfect first touch and slot?
More recently so I have felt this, where he gets the lion share of the ball when up front, but 9/10 it's not an effective finish like a good cross or shot, but he breaks us down so often? Then that one chance he actually realises he has talent and can deliver those moments.

Put in a good a cross in the 1st half that the strikers should have done better with but outside of that was bad, again.
No reason he should be playing RW when Greenwood is obviously the better right sided player. Leave the two under performers to fight for the LW, Rashford's lucky Martial is playing worse this season.

Gets treated like a luxury player - quite literally has worse effort stats this year than James Rodriguez...worse than Ozil put up last year - yet he offers minimal luxury in return. Does absolutely zero in terms of pressing, harrying opponents or tracking back. Doesn't even attempt to contest 50/50 balls. His off-ball work is patchy at absolute best... dribbling likewise.
The 'goals and assists' argument is literally all there is at this point to defend him... and when you're being granted a luxury role in an attacking team near the top of the table, those numbers are the absolute bare minimum he should be putting up.
For all the 'position' arguements, the one thing he's done quite well recently is whip a few balls in - and they only come when he plays on the right.

Nowadays when he is on the ball I prefer to look away for few seconds. Better option than feeling like tearing up your hair and scratching your face watching him being useless in promising positions.

I agree he was shite today and has been ineffective of late. He offers more than Martial though - the best side should be him left, Cavani 9 and Greenwood right. Martial has no place in the team right now, for me.

He was shocking today, he’s become really selfish at times this season constantly trying to do it all on his own, attempting to dribble through half the opposition team and shoot but just gets dispossessed instead of getting his head up and looking for a teammate. That being said it definitely doesn’t help he’s constantly being moved out to the right where it clearly doesn’t suit him just to accommodate an out of form Martial, it’s a bizarre decision and one that’s on Ole.
