Whooooa there, Maguire was as bad as ever. The way he fell over his own feet second half, leaving a player clean through, was atrocious. He also has a habit of taking a dive and waiting for the ref to give a foul, but they are on to him. De Gea saved him today.
Are you on drugs? He was fouled. Those same fouls went west broms way the entire game.
Let's not let that get in the way though eh?

The 2 non negotiable traits of Utd player should be bravery and work rate, unfortunately Martial has never shown either of these yet out he trots year on year! I can't stand the sight of him looking to the heavens every time he fecks up anymore

I'm not anti Scottish, I just wanted Moyes out.
So why not say that?
Let me guess, should've got the world beating pochetino in eh?
Ole didn't buy lindelof, or De Gea. They were the ones at fault for the goal today.
Maguire was actually one our better players, if not best. Wan bissaka was also solid.
Predictable as ever, bad results bring same names out spouting the same crap.
Same De Gea that saved us from losing with a double save after the worlds most expensive defenders blunder?
What’s predictable as ever are the excuses for Ole.

We leak in silly goals week in week out. And we sold off our best defender in Smalling for small fees. Unbelievable.

We need a left footed winger option when the inevitable dribbling into a cul-de-sac comes to nothing , what's Lee Sharpe doing these days ?

Ok then. No sir, no blinkered agendas.
The agenda is he and Lindelof aren't good enough. We won't challenge for the title with a soft central defence. Maguire is better going forward than he is in defence, but that isn't his job. Despite dominating the game again, they could have cost us even a draw. It's gone beyond a joke.

Slow and zero movement off the ball or on it tbh. We stand around and expect a miracle to occur.

Barring Bruno, our forward players are in shocking form.
Zero movement off the ball is absolutely a big problem.
Hate to say it, but just watch City. When they are in possession, they are moving constantly looking to find space.
And especially so when in and around the penalty area.
Martial should be locked in a room and made to watch it for hours.

To me, the lack of movement is basically laziness and lack of basic footballing skills.

United just don't have the fluidity or rhythm in their game at the moment. The ball is given away too regularly and mostly needlessly. The United game at the moment is simply hoping for a magic moment.

West brom had the better chances to win the game, let that sink in. Shocking performance from everyone really.

Our defense was woeful, but so was our midfield (McFred should never play against teams who are gonna sit back) and our wingers did nothing all game (Greenwood was probably the best and he played 20 minutes)

Rancid performance. Fifth time this season that description fits.

Sheff Utd and now today. So so bad. Predictable, slow, boring, ponderous, unimaginative shite football.

Could someone enlighten me as to what Maguire does better than Smalling?
Runs into cul de sacs & plays a square pass once he gets there knowing he’ll be caught out of place if not.

No one will actually be able to tell you what he does tangibly better defensively because he simply doesn’t do such better on that side.

The idea of Maguire far outweighs the reality.

This is painfully true and obvious. We have an air of desperation about us and hoping for someone, anyone to pull something out of the bag.

It's much better than I expected. I expected us to lose this match. Fred and Scott are good honest players but no one with any sense is going to say that they have good passing ability. Then when you have Rashford and Martial on top this is what is going on happen.

Yup. A collection of talented individuals. Not a team. Might be good enough for top four in a season where so many other teams are having a shocker but miles short of the quality you need to win the league (or any other big trophies)

Well it's been fun, running on a high and all that. Time to take a look at the defense and Martial.

I'm not going to join in the childish name calling of Ole, I support the club and he's a club legend who deserves our respect.

However we are back in to the downside of roller coaster form again just like it's been for the last two years under the current management and coaching staff and it's clear we are often 2nd best technically on the pitch against virtually all other sides.

It's no good going on a great run when it then becomes a downward spiral because this sort of form will never win us the title again.

If we think we should be challenging for it year in year out then, sadly, I now believe we need a new manager and coaching team. I'd be ecstatic to be proved wrong but I doubt that I will.

There are too many players at the club who are simply not good enough and/or are just cruising through games knowing they'll be playing the next one.

We MIGHT win a cup but this set up isn't going to win us the league again.

Couldnt agree more. This is on the players obviously, but whats happening in training. Whats the manager and coaches see that doesnt need addressing?

been saying this for ages. Say what you want about the coaching (and it needs looking at) but this is fundamental, in that all it requires is for a player to look interested and run a bit. I literally cannot grasp how professional footballers can’t do what I could do at 12 years old.Shouldnt need to be coached - this is on the players.

Then there is the coaching, or lack of - as well as team selection.

ddg, Linda and a martial should be out of this club.

I am not sure it was the problem today. Today we were playing league's second worst team, FFS. It may be a problem in general but today came down to three basic parts:

1. It was freezing cold, and raining ice.
2. Fred is simply not good enough to fill in for Pogba. Lindelof and Maguire were not good enough today.
3. Martial and Rashford are having a drought. Martial's one is especially bad.

Think this is why VDB is having so many problems, he is used to players who pass and are then on the move. He passes, moves and nothing, the ball goes backwards, sideways not to where he has found space. The forwards do not move, it's ridiculous. What does Ole say to them all, 'What are you wasting energy running about for'?

Ole fanboys will have loads of excuses for him ready again.

Starting Lindelof, Martial and De Gea today is a stackable offense
Well, starting Rashford and Maguire is even worse! Two most overrated English players.

What exactly did Maguire do wrong today to get so much stick? Please tell me he isn’t being vilified for getting clearly fouled by their attacker. Lindelof was getting absolutely bullied today, aim it his direction.

I am sure that you did this as a 12 year old. I know I did.
It is not as if you have to move that much. The very clever movements require just a few meters some times.
It is basics. Do you want the ball or not.

As someone said, it was freezing cold and raining ice.
And so it was; for both sides.

We didn't win, so it's the usual systematic slating each player, going hardest in on who you have a bias against.
